603015 tn?1329866573 I felt too embaressed to speak to him about everything else especially the talking in my head, he is my family doctor and has seen how consumed with worry I have been with my daughter and probably thinks im a bit of a fruit loop anyway without giving him any other reason. I dont know maybe I have gone a little mad but I feel good and after feeling the way I have over the last year I dont want to tell him incase he takes my meds off me, I really like feeling like this.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am the parent of a child whose health has been deteriorating due to, what I believe, titanium plates and screws implanted in his mouth for orthodontic purposes. From muscle fatigue, to joint pain, fevers and rashes, my teen child has experienced it all. Treatment has been done for the illnesses but there is no conclusive info to support my belief or anyone else's, for that matter.
1793142 tn?1315382976 Hey 21tulips. I'm a person that dislikes perpetuating sad situations and therefore I try to get to the bottom of things. This mysterious Genetic Mitochondrial Disorder ( this is a made-up label and not a disease! ) that your Doctors suspect is actually one of the consequences of a pathogenic infection. Most likely this infection is responsible for most of your troubles . It affects first systems or parts of the body that have a Genetic predisposition.
670955 tn?1226601500 I've been home from work for more than a month because of a wierd allergy reaction that my gp thinks may be related to my hashi's in some way. So I made an appt with a good allergist (I'd seen him for same allergy prob years before; he's a nice guy). To be prepared I read, made notes of questions and symptoms, took my thyroid #'s with me and hoped for some answers. No insight into the possible connection with thyroid. So I've been thinking and come to a few conclusions....
Avatar f tn Food wise, we really eat healthy. Morning we have oatmeal with raisin and cinnamon with milk we do not add sugar or honey. We share a apple and a bannana and we have a tad of cottage cheese on a half tomatoe. Lunch we usually have a sandwich mostly peanut butter n jelly sometimes tuna etc. At night we mostly have a nice fresh salad and our meat dish. Meat us usually baked in the oven on racks or bar-b-que.
902019 tn?1249865014 I thought that maybe boiling the water created a poisoning reaction, because I was using iron pots with white keramics but scratched in several parts, and the water turned brownish when boiled. Then I stoped drinking tea with boiled water, I puted to the sun to soak. Last week I ate fruits having a poisning sensation in blood, skin and digestive tract, felt like I had fire everywhere, literally with uncontrolable shaking for a sensation as cold. And of course my sleeping problmes.

Avatar m tn my GP, my psychiatrist, my wife and with anyone who wants to engage me in a discussion on the topic of my BPD---has become in summary: “let’s just refine the meds, if necessary---and I can go home.” On 5 August 2010 my wife and I decided to refine the meds. I doubled the quantity of effexor from 37 & ½ mg to 75 mgs due to an outburst of anger and invective on 4/8/’10. In April 2012, I changed the meds pkg entirely.
393685 tn?1425816122 I am in to natural medicine and do so much research, I could write a book, but, it is an area of interest to me, and I feel that if we do not take care of our own health, no one will. I look forward to sharing with everyone here and learning ways to help my thyroid. Have a wonderful day.
Avatar m tn ’ This is an experience BPD sufferers have who place themselves in the hands of an old psychiatrist well-rooted in his ways, using the same tactics that he was taught and has used for many years, indeed decades. I know my present psychiatrist is a scholarly man and keeps up with his journals, but he is not on the internet and cyberspace has become a world of information even for specialists.
Avatar m tn when i see these studies with hbv infected and healthy individuals i laugh because vit d deficiency is universal....since anybody lives indoors especially when temp is very hot......
Avatar m tn The only thing that stands between a person and their own perfect health is information. Empowered with the right information, anyone can improve their health, reduce their dependence on prescription drugs, enhance their quality of life and expand their mental awareness and creativity. Achieving outstanding health is not complicated. The human body already knows how to be healthy.
Avatar f tn I'm sending this out to any parent out there who may have a baby with congenital hypothyroidism. My fourth son was born with this condition and my husband and I are always looking for anyone who can relate. It feels like no one really understands because we are from a small town and my little one is the only one around with this. At his local doctor's office he is quite popular because anytime I bring him in they are very interested in anything he has done.
163240 tn?1337907961 I'm 39 yrs old and have been having problems now for 9 yrs with no one being able to tell me what is wrong. It started out as fatigue and lower back pain, they sent me to physical therapy cause my lower back muscles were in a constant pulled tight, that didnt help at all, the back muscle tightness has grown to encompass most of my back. Now I have been having problems with my legs going totally numb and making me fall. 3 episodes in the past 5 months.
Avatar f tn That was my reaction. My GP was not too familiar with the diagnosis but decided to refer me to a neurosurgeon. So I went on line and this is what I found out. A Syrinx is a Fluid filled Cyst in the centre of the spinal chord that as it expands crushes the chord leading to severe pain and muscle weakness. With the health services in chaos but having private health insurance I asked for a private referral. My appointment has come this morning and I get to see my neurosurgeon in 2 weeks.
Avatar m tn This psychiatrist is advising me to OCD medication- Cloamparime- to help with my health concerns or poor health because nothing is wrong medically, and he says will help with sleep, anxiety, worries and thus more energy to do things. I am just tired of this; going to doctors, and specialists feels like waste of my time, nothing happens, and then I feel dumb why I went there in the first place.
Avatar n tn I started taking vicoden about 4 years ago, then went to both percoset and vicoden, until, eventually i got into Oxy contin about a year ago, it started at 20mg's then to 40 and for the last 9 months or so I have been taking up to 120-160mg a day. I am lost with out them, my bank account is gone. I have ruined my life. I stopped about 5 days ago and started taking about 10mg of Methadone a day.
12052179 tn?1423160204 and make up symptoms. If this is how doctors view pain journals, then I'm simply not going to bother with writing one. That doctor didn't even look at my paper, so I don't see the point here. 8)Have you tried icing the area the first two days after treatment? -- lol. I've had pain in this location before -- not this severe, mind you, but it comes on about twice a year. Ice, heat, massage, steroids -- none of that crap works.
1405544 tn?1331922301 I chose to go the NA/CA route, because I don't have the health insurance to cover behaviour modification counseling, with a therapist...which would ideally be what I want to do to get better and change my thought patterns. NA/CA is a great group of people. Admittedly, I don't think the group is for me, 100%. I don't know that I agree with the whole package...for myself. HOWEVER, and this is a big but, I still go to meetings, once a week, and listen to shares and share.
1316708 tn?1310919782 Teaching Ourselves To Have Healthy Reactions General, Healing, Health & Wellness | January 15th, 2009 “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.” Of all the laws of Physics I learned way back in school, Newton’s third law remains etched in my memory. (All the others are too complicated!) However, its implications go out the window when it comes to the not so physical aspects of life, like emotions and feelings. We often take our actions very seriously.
Avatar f tn How come most US dermatologists and other health practitioners aren't aware of the skin whitening side effect from Glutathione supplementation? It has been used for decades and even administered to people with low immune and people of neurodegenerative disorder. It seems they are a few science journals and studies that suggest the relation between Glutathione and Tyrosinase Enzyme. Here are some of the journals:
685623 tn?1283485207 But, this cat brings a whole new focus on the virus and our relationship with pets. For many of us, we love to sleep with our pets and cuddle up close to them when we are feeling poorly. We often say that our pets “know” when we are sick and will come close to be our quiet support. It’s probably this type of behavior that made it possible for the virus to infect the cat. So far, we don’t have a lot of details.
177275 tn?1511758844 Trial lawyers would be everywhere soliciting lawsuits against the manufacturer. The toxic drug is marijuana (cannabis) and this nightmare health scenario has occurred in other states. It might occur in Missouri or Kansas if ill-informed and misleading groups like John Payne’s Show-Me Cannabis (As I See It, 10/20/2013) have their way. There is already a considerable amount of medical research showing marijuana to be harmful that is never mentioned by advocates of legal marijuana.
883151 tn?1245518109 Well the doctor called with the results from Aries tests. I knew there would be nothing with the rash on his arms. I already knew it was an allergic reaction from laying in the grass. He's had eczema since he was a baby. Anything he touches, he gets a rash from. The dry scalp is something different. He's had a dry scalp and dandruf for a long time. Then he started with this patch that won't grow, actually now it's two patches that won't grow.

572651 tn?1531002957 It's fashionable in health care to talk about the importance of being a knowledgeable, assertive patient and of forging a working partnership with a doctor, a relationship that will speed healing or improve the process of living with a chronic, even life-threatening, illness. But as Michelle Mayer, a nurse with a doctorate in public health, discovered, the path to achieving such an alliance often is not an easy one.
Avatar n tn My daughter law has anaphalytic shock reaction and yes I agree with what both Myproblem and Starqueen is saying . You should stay well away from things that bring this response. Nuts are not such a big deal are they? My daughter law has this response to latex and a few other things so shes lucky with the identified ones but new ones have posed real problems for her. She never goes anywhere without epipens .
1396867 tn?1520813858 He said you know Digi loves you and is looking out for you 100% he said we've walked a fine line with you and pushed the envelope as far as I feel comforable pushing. He knows when he himself isnt enough for you anymore.
Avatar n tn Very small series of vitrectomies to remove a annoying floater or Weiss ring have appeared in the ophthalmology medical journals. The reaction of almost all ophthalmologists is to condemn the procedure in all but the most extenuating circumstances. Very, very, very few retina surgeons would approve doing a vitrectomy for someone that is annoyed by floaters or a Weiss ring. Perhaps losing his name and number was a good thing.
