7801868 tn?1395885718 Is there much difference between the way ultrasounds and appointments work in canada, usa, and europe? I live in canada but i see a lot of posts about only having two or three ultrasounds throughout the whole pregnancy.. I have had one appointment and ultrasound at least every 4 weeks till 28 weeks, then every two weeks until 35 weeks (im 33 weeks atm) then every week. Just curious on how other peoples experiences are going. I wish i could see my baby everyday!!
Avatar f tn Does anyone have any names of docs in Canada who deal with AD. We were vacationing in Australia, both got bit by jellyfish. I had AD for 3 months and it went away. He still has it after 2 years. He was healthy, young 35 yr old with no health issues. It's crazy, I could make a movie out of our experience. Any help is appreciated.
Avatar f tn Also, when a treatment gets approved in the States, it takes some time for it to be approved in Canada as we are behind the U.S.
401095 tn?1351391770 i wish there were an index for the journals like the health pages cos it is hard to know which journals to read..some recount the wd experience day by day that people experienced and can help new people know what to expect.....this is a great site with alot of knowledge buried in it and some wonderful people ..
Avatar f tn Thank you for responding so quickly, yeah, dumb me too, so you are not alone, no more writing personal stuff in these journals or any other sites. It is a pity that nothing really is very private these days, even therapists cannot be trusted as they sometimes use our personal cases for furthering their research. I say this from my own experience with one therapist in the past. Thank you again and have a good day.
Avatar m tn From little I found so far it appears that at least few years ago it was not performed anywhere in the US. A search for it in my health insurer directory came up with nothing. Is it currently performed in the US? What about Canada, Europe, or elsewhere in the world? Google search found two places in Moscow, Russia, where it is performed, and one reference in Ukraine, but very little details on their websites. Anybody had it done there?
186166 tn?1385259382 I disagree. Journals aren't the problem. It's how they are used. Used right and they can be a helpful resource. (please check my earlier journals about autism and my dad's (MJthewriterdad) journals). But true, some journals and notes are better off as personal messages, espcially some of the comments.
Avatar m tn I'm having a similar issue— I can write a new journal entry, but I can no longer add or associate a journal entry to my mood tracker. What happens when I try to add a journal is: nothing. I click the little "click to add data" square in the mood tracker where I used to be able to put a journal entry, and there is no response at all.
7677085 tn?1395374075 Does anyone actually use the journal on this app? I do a bit but every time I glance at someone else's profile there's nothing in that section. I have my birth story and advice in mine and so I can tell people to look there rather than having to type it out again and again. Anyone else? If not, we should start using them! Birth stories, advice, pregnancy questions and answers for our appointments, etc!
121828 tn?1333464491 Does everyone see every little thing I post in my ovulation tracker journal? If so, I don't want to alert everyone every time I start spotting, yada yada. That would get real annoying for people really fast!
410281 tn?1254229064 I had a really good friend tell me once that "you have to be your own health advocate." I think of that everytime I procrastinate making a doctors appointment because I'm sure that I can't handle being told "stress can do strange things to your body..." or "if the chemicals aren't balanced..." or "suck it up!" again. Thus the question: How are you your own health advocate? How do you get through "limbo land" without snapping?
Avatar f tn my nephew is living in canada,he is almost 2 years old....he has elevated ck level which is approximately 3000 u/l....can u please tell me whats the main reason for such a high creatinine kinase level in a small child???

1244257 tn?1270537562 Hola, desde la última actualización, no puedo acceder a mis "journals", ni escribir en ellos. ¿Cómo puedo abrirlos?
Avatar f tn Thank god for the national health service in England don't think I'd be able to afford to have a baby if I lived in America!
Avatar n tn I have called planned parenthood and several free community health clinics in the buffalo erie county area and all rapid tests cover HIV 1 and HIV 2 in the state of NY. Is it possible for HIV-1 essay's to catch HIV-2 antibodies? I have read that its possible but dont know much about it.
338416 tn?1420045702 I have lived in three provinces (two in Atlantic Canada and one in the Prairies). I know that Manitoba has great MS support (one of the highest places for MS per cap) but high provincial tax. As for jobs, I know that jobbank.gc.ca; workopolis.ca; and monster.ca post jobs across the country. If you are looking to move out east, the most popular site for professional jobs is careerbeacon.com. Unfortunately, I can’t say anything about immigration but hope the rest helps.
Avatar f tn I tested positive to HCV antibodies but further testing with PCR RNA Quantative testing was negative. I live in Canada and wonder if it will be a problem down the road with travel insurance or joining an extended health plan. Anyone have any experiences with this, Canadian or American? Thank you.
Avatar m tn Dementia is one of the largest health problems in the developed world. If the data/studies on citicoline were on solid grounds it would be widely recommended and used. I just did a literature search on the subject and most of the favorable results are published in minor journals, non-peer reviewed journals, "predatory" journals. So the answer is we don't know at this time. In ophthalmology in the USA we do not recommend it for optic nerve disease or health.
Avatar m tn January 20, 2011 Additionally, Vertex today announced the completion of a New Drug Submission (NDS) to the Therapeutic Product Directorate (TPD) of Health Canada seeking approval for telaprevir in Canada. Telaprevir was also granted Priority Review in Canada, which allows for faster review for promising medicines that address life-threatening or severely debilitating conditions and for which there are few effective therapies already available.
Avatar m tn We do have a list, but it is small in comparison to the USA one....but there is one for Canada....keep in mind, u may not find a Dr in ur area and have to travel as we do here in the USA as well....and u need to research each Dr on the list as the lists are not referrals nor endorsements....the list is compiled by the members here of Drs they have been to, treated by and liked. Use the Main list in the Health pages as it has a link to the list for Canada. http://www.medhelp.
