Avatar f tn Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.
Avatar f tn Call your health plan provider. It's different with each state, I believe.
Avatar n tn Hi, I just found out I do not have health insurance. We thought it would be until the end of the month but it's already done. I wad still under my moms plan and she was laid off last month. Well I had medical assistance through the state my last pregnancy but they dropped me when she was a month old because of my fiance's income. My daughter still has medical assistance.
Avatar f tn What health insurance coverage/plan do you have? How much do you pay deductible and premium? Im so confuse about that. I'm 35 and planning family soon, but I'm so confused about this. thank ;you Just trying to get an idea.
387294 tn?1207620185 My son and daughter may be looking for health insurance after they leave college and are no longer dependents. My daughter has been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. She has a healthy heart and it is working well. With this impact her chances to get health insurance on her own? Will it impact our ability to continue her insurance after the cobra period is over on our insurance?
Avatar f tn I am going to lose my health insurance soon. I was wondering if anyone knows of any government programs I can participate in in order to afford doctors appointments and delivery.

Avatar m tn Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a health insurance question? About a year ago Anthem Covered two separate visits to the doctors office that I had gone to. So initially they paid and I thought I was all set. Now, almost a year later, they retracted payment due to my coverage ending within days of the visits. I understand if I wasn't covered, but I am wondering how they can pay for it and then decide they were wrong and bill me a year later?

Avatar f tn Hi Frrecks, I'm sorry that I don't know anything about the insurance, since we still have private insurance. It has to be so difficult to set aside the financial worries and concentrate on feeling better. I do know a lot of the DMD companies have programs to assist anyone without insurance. As for my private insurance cost, my employer just finished the open enrollment for next year and here is what I will be paying for my health insurance - $238.00 a month for me and my spouse.
Avatar n tn What are the best health insurance sites/companies/agents? When you search health insurance you get ehealthinsurance.com, and healthinsurance.org, and http://www.HealthPlanOne.com as the top 3 but I want to know if you have found better ones than these ones.
Avatar n tn Alright, so I'm on my dad's health insurance through his work. It's upmc. Well, my boyfriend & I are getting our own place & my dad told me I can't change my address & stay on his health insurance. How true is this? Because I just looked it up & it said that a child under 26 can remain on a parents plan even if they don't live with them. I just want to know for sure because I can't afford it on my own. Especially not with the baby coming.
Avatar f tn If you're in the USA than I believe by law, health insurance must cover pregnancy appointments and delivery. It doesn't matter if your on your parents insurance or not. Now, how much they pay could be iffy so you're best bet is to call or ask your mom to call. One thing to think about, grandchildren cannot be extended on to the grandparents health insurance most of the time.
6927110 tn?1393318669 Hi everyone, Im 18 years old and currently 29 weeks pregnant. Im due in February but am going to be under different medical insurance as of January 12, 2014. Avatar f tn So due to congress i no longer have health insurance, and my checkup to re-test my thyroid and renew my pescription for 75mcg levothyroxine is up and i can't go in, since no insurance for visit and for prescription, Worried about what will happen when my meds run out next week! Money is very very low as we live off an income of $900 for a family of 5 one member being only 1yrs old.
Avatar m tn A friend's 23-year old son was just diagnosed with Hep C and is anxious to start treating it ASAP. Unfortunately, his health insurance won't cover the treatment, and he can't afford these expensive meds. Is there a federal or state (Utah) program that he can turn to, or does anyone know how to locate clinical trials or research projects tracking the success of the new treatments (i.e. teleprevir)? If so, pls share. Thanks!

Avatar f tn I was barely diagnosed with chiari and I have been suffering with severe neck shoulder and back pain for months. I do not have insurance and am trying to figure out how to see a pain specialist to get treatment for the pain without insurance? My pcp only will give me a small amount of loretab and it is NOT covering it. Also if anyone has been able to get on medicaid for this? I need all the info I can get.
490443 tn?1236648256 I agree with Utah - Get in that office for the second opinion and treated better and then fight like he// with that insurance company after you get treated right! You'll be healthy again after a compatent surgeon like the one Utah has takes care of you to fight back with these insurance idiots. Just go.
522926 tn?1212498745 I moved to Utah 2.5 years ago after failing treatment through the Cleveland Clinic. When I left I was on a maintainence program of interferon. I have seen 2 gastro doctors in Utah, both told me there was nothing they could do for me. My insurance refuses to approve to see Dr. Gish is Las Vegas. I am experiencing symptoms more each day and am asking for advice as to what options are open.
8489354 tn?1405627762 That's before my insurance, total bill. Each state varies, but it will be pretty close for most. I live in Utah which has a pretty standard cost of living.
