I'm stay at home Mom and 34 weeks pregnant, my husband might be out of job before the baby is born and I'm trying to figure out what are my options for health insurance. Has anyone had to go through this situation before ? Any suggestions would be helpful.

I am so far a healthy 43 year old/m in pa. I am trying to decide which health insurance plan will be good for my situation and I am looking for some opinions here. This Month my group plan ends and I can take cobra but there is no financial benefit to taking my same PPO plan which gives me to price break for being unemployed.
So I am trying to look at this at a meaningful way. Since my PPO was $475/m plue $29 dental I just cant be paying that on my own now.

Since when has prenatal care not been preventative care? My new insurance will not pay for anything until my huge deductible is met. All my prenatal visits wont add up to it and i am due in the new year. So technically I will have to pay double deductible for this one pregnancy. I hate Obama and his not care.

In case of a qualifying event such as death or divorce, Federal COBRA can be extended from the original 18 months to as long as 36 months (18 + 18 = 36 months); however it doesn't seem like you have had a qualifying event (as described by COBRA law).
The good news is that after exhausting your COBRA you are HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) eligible, which means you will qualify for some type of coverage depending on your State of resident.
He will hold a job for about a year than he has some type of episode that causes him to loose his job. Because of this, it causes him to loose his health insurance and he needs medication. Is there any type of Disibility compensation that he can apply for. Without a job he cannot get his medications, which causes the condition to get worse. Please help!

I have thought maybe diabetes or MS but I have no other symptoms of either. I do not have health insurance as I have been unemployed now for over a year so I cannot go to the doctor. Any adeas what could be going on?
Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.
Hi, I just found out I do not have health insurance. We thought it would be until the end of the month but it's already done. I wad still under my moms plan and she was laid off last month. Well I had medical assistance through the state my last pregnancy but they dropped me when she was a month old because of my fiance's income. My daughter still has medical assistance.
Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a health insurance question? About a year ago Anthem Covered two separate visits to the doctors office that I had gone to. So initially they paid and I thought I was all set. Now, almost a year later, they retracted payment due to my coverage ending within days of the visits. I understand if I wasn't covered, but I am wondering how they can pay for it and then decide they were wrong and bill me a year later?
