6927110 tn?1393318669 I was 34 weeks when my job had insurance policy changes. I also had Kaiser. The first thing you do is start looking for a dr with the new insurance. Once you have your dr picked out ask for your medical records that way on your first visit new dr is on the same page and has a plan for you and baby boy. Register to a hospital that corresponds to new insurance as with Kaiser we didn't have to do that. If you have any questions feel free to message me.

This whole "Affordable Healthcare Act" isn't very affordable. I went to the healthcare.gov website and for about $400/month I have to pay a $3000 deductible and get 50% coverage.

Avatar m tn I am thinking of accepting a new job and I am curious if I have an obligation to inform them of my past medical history? I have as I posted before the symptoms of MS, but nothing has been diagnosed yet. I am also concerned about the insurance change from one company to the next. Does anyone know if the new insurance company would have a right to classify this as a pre-existing condition, leaving me with no insurance? Anyone advice is welcome.

290867 tn?1333569278 Something I learned from our insurance agent is that if you currently have health ins. MOST ins companies will pick you up if you choose to go with them. We were worried about not being able to switch because of pre-existing conditions, but she said we don't have to worry about that.

Avatar n tn Our healthcare costs have been rising at a rate much faster than any other cost of living in this nation as well as compared to other industrialized nations. Yet we have millions of people who cannot get health insurance coverage for a multitude of excuses by these insurance companies. People know that all it takes is an illness or giving birth, getting labwork, Xray, ER, mental illnesses to name just the top of the iceberg, can all lead these uninsured people to financial ruin.
Avatar f tn I'm just curious. I have insurance thank God, but want to move out of state hopefully when this is all over. Knowing that I won't have ins. through a job and can't take what I have out of my state and will definitely still need health ins. Was wondering if anyone on this site had applied and was able to get into a high risk pool in their state? I don't qualify for medicare or medicaid, so that would be my only hope.
Avatar f tn I'm still working. I want to quit but I'm not sure what the proper procedure is. Do I still need to put in a two week notice? My body really can't handle the physical parts of my job anymore. I unload trucks and put product on shelves at an arts and crafts store. Some of that stuff is heavy. I always come home with a ton of back pain and my legs, like the joints where they meet the pelvic bone, hurt so bad I can't even walk for the rest of the day.
Avatar f tn My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 years. We finally got pregnant (our miracle baby) I'm about 6 weeks and NO insurance. Deadline for coverage was Feb 15th. Any recommendations for insurance or ideas Thank you.
927707 tn?1244133034 I live in New Jersey and my husband and I need affordable health insurance. He owns his own business and we are paying close to $900 dollars a month for doctor visits, hospital, prescriptions, laboratory, diagnostics etc. We currently have United Health Care/ Oxford. We did have Cobra when I left my job, but that was too expensive $1300.00/ month. With our Cobra we didn't need referrals, but with Oxford we need referrals. Our copay is $30.00 for doctor visits and $50.00 for specialist.
Avatar f tn Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.
Avatar f tn Call your health plan provider. It's different with each state, I believe.
