Avatar n tn Hi Vanessa and thank you for replying to my question. No I have not had any injuries. I was very silly for not having much of a warm-up or stretch before playing sports. And then after this I thought going to aerobics would help stretch me out. My neck, back and shoulders are still so sore and it has been 3 days. About two weeks ago was when I first started playing fastball again and that is when my headaches started around.
Avatar n tn On tuesday I went to the gym for the first time in a while, and for the past few days my shoulder muscles have been sore. I saw on the instructions with my medicine that there's a risk of tendonitis while taking Ciprofloxacin, is this something I should be worried about? I wouldn't have exercised that much if I had known. The soreness has been getting steadily better.
Avatar n tn Yes this is likely to be a rash caused by friction or dryness. The best thing to do is refrain from sex until it is fully healed. You can speed up healing by using a very gentle lubricant like Vaseline or a topical steroid cream which will help heal the damaged tissues. It won't take long. That part of the body heals very quickly.
Avatar f tn My muscles and joints have been really sore the past couple of days and I haven't done anything for them to have reason to be sore? Especially in my left leg, foot and shoulder! I hate it bc I'm 26 years old and should be able to run and play with my kids and just can't!
Avatar n tn My muscles are so sore & They feel so heavy, like when I lift them to get in the car. I also have so much trouble with my feet I can't exercise. I have diabetes & I really need to excercise What do you think it could be?
Avatar f tn The first day may be.... (ive had three) but no. You heal alot quicker I think. Ive had woman who have had natural births that cant believe im up and walking around so much and doing things. Walking is key though. If you lay down or sit for too long your muscles get stiff and sore. Obviously take it easy, but I think your on your feet quicker.

Avatar f tn I also get very sore left shoulder muscles (as if they are knotted) and a slight pain on the left side of my neck. Other things I get on the odd occasion are twitches to my neck, twitches to my bicept and a feeling of blood rushing to the sole of my foot if I've been standing on it for a while and then pick it up.
Avatar n tn The best treatment for exterior, is mild hot soaks, try three soaks a day if possible, the reason they take so long to heal is because the muscle tissue in that area keeps blood from flowing to it, this retards healing, when you sit in a hot tub,it relaxes the muscle and allows better blood flow and it tends to heal much quicker. You should soak for a minimum of twenty minutes. three times a day, or at least twice per day one morning and one at night, but three is best.
Avatar m tn When injury to the muscle is involved should you stretch or allow to heal with out stretching. Stretching is definitely sore to the point where I can't push it. I don't want to increase my recovery time, but don't want to heal up tight. Thanks.
3106887 tn?1341519272 As to how much worse it can get you can lose the feeling in your legs and the ability to control your muscles. Nerve damage is not always permanent but they do heal very, very slow. Complex B 12 vitamins help with the healing process and the quicker you take them after the damage starts the better your chances are of reversing the damage. It can become painful if there is something pressing on the nerves however. Best of luck to you, Sissie.
8924846 tn?1410572901 The past few weeks my muscles have been sore and stiff. Sometimes right when I wake up. I'm a pole dancer and even though I haven't been dancing as much as usual lately I still do my normal stretching routine. I'm not really sure why I'm so sore and stiff. Has this happened with anyone else? I'm 13 weeks 4 days.
Avatar f tn I get cramps in my calves in my sleep which causes sore calf muscles. Try eating more potassium enriched foods such as bananas, spinach, or kale. It will help a little. But from what my doc tells me it's pretty common.
Avatar f tn ve had, the nerve and muscles are once again awakening so everything little thing such as a bump, cold ,over worked muscles is going to be felt! My gosh, thing of all the days nothing was felt! No matter the length of several months or several years the body will start becoming alive again and will heal itself faster "physically" within a couple weeks than its been tortured for months or years! The recovery is quicker then the path it took to turn around! Don't forget that!!!
Avatar n tn Even though i stupidly got on a treadmill to try and open up the muscles and allow me to ge back in the saddle quicker. (before i knew i had a fracture). However the docs advised me not to worry and just not to put to much weight on my sore side and use the crutches where possible. They also advised that exercise can help in small doses. I have been walking with one crutch when I can and to the bathroom without them if I can. (maybe 10 paces) alothought it does cause a little pain.
Avatar f tn I'm 4 weeks post partum and the area around my incision is still really sore and it feels like I pulled a muscle. Getting out of bed and sitting up hurts worse now than it did a week ago. My next doctor appt. Isn't for 2 weeks. Is this normal or should I make an earlier appt?
Avatar n tn Yes, the calf muscles tense up during something like this and I know from experience that it will take a couple of days for the soreness to go away. The feeling is very much like the kind of sore muscles you get from overuse. Hot baths will help the muscles feel better. As for his tongue -- ouch! He must have bit it as you say. He may want to see his doctor to make sure that nothing needs to be treated, depending on how severe the cuts are on his tongue.
