624074 tn?1263877407 Just wondering. Is the Chiari awareness ribbon color a lavener or a royal purple color? I've seen them both. The one with the zipper on it that says Chiari is lavender, so I'm assuming that the "official" awareness ribbon for Chiari is lavender. Just wondering. I would like to start raising awareness in my area and make some bracelets, but don't know what color charms to buy. Also, sorry to flood the board with my questions.

Avatar f tn I made my story as short as possible, but I left out that I too have a good friend whose wife died at age 30 of breast cancer. She appeared healthy and happy and then she felt something and proceeded to wither away. That made me realize how fragile our lives are. When I was in my deep suicidal depression I went to a therapist and wound up getting antideppresents to get me through. You're right, every little bump and pain throws me into a downward spiral.
1517452 tn?1290752817 I will say, though, that the weight gain, abdominal pain, and neck pain are my three biggest concerns; I'm adding the neck pain to my list of concerns because I'm beginning to think that this is all coming back to my thyroid. * epigastric pain - not consistently localized, but it is more constant on the right. The pain has pretty much become constant now, and will go around to my back (center) and up underneath my shoulder blades when a severe "attack" or episode is occurring.

Avatar n tn I also have chronic forehead/neck/back/arm clamminess and cold skin sensations, and I am much more prone to goosebumps (piloerection) than I ever used to be. I assume this to be tied to my sympathetic nervous system/eccrine gland systems. I have bouts of extreme fatigue, and some localized wrist joint arthralgia which has accompanied this myriad of symptoms since 'day-one'.

Avatar f tn I have tried most of the prophylactic drugs out there and I get Botox every 3 months in my scalp and neck (works well but expensive). I tried topamax for 2 weeks and had headaches every day. I was also on wellbutrin, lyrica and lamictal for migraines. I am off all of the meds now so I decided to try topamax again. (The Botox works well but I still have a few migraines) I would be willing to actually shave my head if the topamax works.
1013194 tn?1296463081 At present I am listening to SoapNetwork in back. The person below me has lost a child to cancer and just can't get over it. He passed 11 years ago this past January. Just want to talk to someone about it, bu everyone says I just have to forget and go on with my life. Hope this is worded as it should be as a question.
Avatar f tn And the mother had thyroid cancer. The house was beautiful and was completely deaf and blind friendly. It was great for her and her family. But anyway...my MIL had it on tonight and they built a house for this woman who is a photographer, and takes pictures of premature babies with their families, feet pictures...all sorts of pictures of these babies, which a lot of them don't make it, and the amiles have these memories of these babies, so they are not forgotten.
Avatar m tn This research paper explains more about why some people handle the virus and others don't and most important why viral load means nothen. With cell to cell transfer there is no way that TX is going to work. I suggest you all read this. It explains why the virus moves so slow in most and can replicate so fast in others. As I always thought and the numbers bear me out, you are more likely to die with the virus than because of it.
