Avatar f tn I certainly have found no diet that helps with periods. Food isn't going to regulate your hormone levels, so I doubt there is one. If you notice you break out after eating a certain food (i.e., chocolate, etc.), then just avoid it around times you're especially prone to breaking out.
Avatar n tn Have you talked to your doctor about a weight loss plan? Not only can your doctor make sure that you're healthy enough for regular physical activity, but she/he can also suggest nutrition options and workouts that suit your lifestyle and level of fitness. Talking with your doctor gives you an outline and someone to report your success to in order to stay motivated. Plan long and short term goals to help you stay motivated and see results.
Avatar f tn I am making a statement rather than a question. In 2008 I started doing the HCG diet. I lost weight but in June of 2008 I was diagnosed with hormone positve invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. I had my annual mammogram in June of 07 and in June of 08 I felt a lump. I can't help but thinking it caused the hormone pos. breast cancer to grow quite fast. It was probably already there. They say cancer can be in our bodies up to 7 years. Since they use HCG for infertility it makes sense.
Avatar f tn http://www.elanaspantry.com/paleo-diet-recipes/ http://thepaleodiet.com/paleo-diet-recipes/ The Peak 8 routine it will quickly raise your heart rate 8 times for very short bursts, with a cooling down period in between. Ideally you’ll be sprinting or cycling full throttle for 30 seconds with a 90 second cool down in between each outburst.  This is the fastest way to lose fat and build muscle in the body. Peak 8 actually stimulates the growth hormone in the body.
1363590 tn?1277807077 But I thought it was called the HCG diet, IDK. For me it was always hard to gain weight during pregnancy and I was always lossing it unless I ate all day long. , lol. I would ask the clinic about side effect and what not. Good luck!!
Avatar f tn I'm going to guess that you are right. There's a very strict diet that goes along with hcg diet, which I don't believe is good under any circumstances, but with your lupus the diet could have serious effects. My daughter has lupus - I'd rather see her a bit over weight.
Avatar f tn About a year and a half ago I took a hormone called hcg sublingually for weight loss purposes. After wards I began to suffer terrible symptoms such as bone pain, pain everywhere, tingling, numbness, and loss if sensation through out my body. The diet also suggests that you eat less than 800 calories a day. I should also add that I was a vegetarian for 3 years before then, but began eating fish around the time of the diet.
Avatar f tn Hi I am currently 28 weeks pregnant and found out I have gallstones. They have told me to eat a fat free and dairy freediet for the next 12 weeks when iI will be checked again as surgery whilst I'm pregnant is risky. I am having a really hard time coming up with recipes and options to fill myself up, so far nothing I make had any flavour and it is putting me off eating. Does anyone have any recipes they could share?
Avatar f tn Hi! As you may already know, HCG is the "pregnancy hormone". It hasn't been thoroughly studied in breastfeeding moms, and therefore can't be considered "safe". Also, generally it is not considered to be a good idea to lose weight too quickly while breastfeeding. Your best bet is to discuss the medication with your doctor. Good luck!
425962 tn?1285086458 So I know tons of people in my area that are losing tons of weight(I'm talkin TONS) on this "HcG Diet"... What are your thoughts on this? Do you think its dangerous? If you do know anything about it, or about someone who has done it, please share. Thx!
Avatar n tn Has any one else been placed on a low sodium diet by their baby doctor? I was told I have high blood pressure and just as a caution I should go on a low sodium diet. So I've been Googling recipes and things but I'm not finding to many. Does any one has some advice about the diet or some amazing recipes? That would be amazing!!
Avatar m tn This doesn't sound like a very healthy diet to me. I'm a bit wary of the HCG injections, and a 500 calorie diet is restrictive to the point of being dangerous. Why would you want to do this type of diet when there are so many better ways to lose weight and keep it off? Eating healthy should be a way of life, not some unhealthy crash diet that is impossible to maintain.
1560848 tn?1329487433 I'm new to the stie and see a lot about this HCG. Also see it can be bought from many places and appears to be injections!!!! Is that right? What is it and how many are using this? Is this safe? Sounds scary, or illegal!!!!
Avatar n tn Taking HCG for diet reasons is a cheat and easy way out. The only true way to lose weight is to diet right and healthy and to work out.
Avatar n tn Can anyone give me tips on a good diet plan or food to eat to lose fat and weight?
Avatar n tn is it possible that you are further in to your pregnancy than 8 weeks? I ask this because HCG levels during the first trimester will peak sometime around 9 to 12 weeks of pregnancy, at somewhere around 25,700 to 288,000 mIU/ml. By the final weeks of the first trimester week 13 and 14, hCG levels are finally on the decline, and will be at around 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml. From there, hCG levels tend to continue the downward change into the second trimester.
Avatar f tn My non professional opinion HCG diet probably not a good idea and could be dangerous.. With hepatitis C you need to be under the care of a hepatoligist or an gastroenterologist experienced in HCV, hepatology and Cirrhosis. Patients with decompensated cirrhosis (moderate or severe hepatic impairment; CTP class B or C) should be referred to a medical practitioner with expertise in that condition (ideally in a liver transplant center).
Avatar f tn i need to stop eating bread and sugar. i gained 13 lbs after finishing hcg diet in feb.
1936698 tn?1333915193 At 31 weeks your hormone levels are not being looked at anymore. By hormone levels I think you mean HCG. In early pregnancy if a Dr. is trying to tell if you are pregnant or if they are unsure if you are having a miscarriage or not they will look at your HCG levels. These levels should double every 48-72 hours, if they do not it is usually a bad sign. After they can see baby on the Ultrasound and get a strong Heartbeat they will stop taking these HCG levels.
1156486 tn?1262394803 THANK YOU for the information. I was able to find the cookbook and that made me feel a LOT better about the "diet" thing. I also finally realized that it's a LOW idodine not a NO idodine diet. Yesterday (Monday) was my grocery shopping day and today (Tuesday) is going to be my "cooking and freezing" day because Wednesday will be the day I go off my meds. I have received wonderful advice on this site and I am very thankful for people taking the time to write to me.
Avatar m tn She is involved with HCG diet which is not good for thyroid, so no wander that her goiter is getting bigger and bigger, it soon may look like a kangaroo pouch
