Avatar f tn It consists of 24 active pills and 4 inactive pills. I have never missed a pill. I had unprotected sex on Wednesday night, drank my pill on Thursday evening and forgot my pill on Friday. The pill I was meant to take on Friday is the last active pill before the inactive pills. I only realised on Sunday and drank the pill I was meant to drink on Friday, exactly 48 hours after I should have. I didn't drink any pills Saturday or Sunday since those days are inactive pill days.
Avatar f tn I have just had my period by taking the inactive pills in my packet of the pill. I didnt have anything on my tampon/pad for the past 4 days. I took my first active pill yesterday however today I have gotten my periods again and they are fairly heavy. Why would I have them now after not having anything? I have also recently had thrush could this have something to do with it?
Avatar m tn I'm on my second month of lutera bc pill and I have started having slight cramps and sore breasts for the last couple of days. I had sex on Feb 9 during my first month of pills, I'm just not sure if this is a side effect of the bc pill because I don't believe that I am pregnant.
Avatar f tn On september I finished taking my pill but it took me 4 day to start a new pack so on October 22 I got my menstruation and I had unprotected sex on the first day of my period only to realuze I missed my 4th inactive pill. The next day I bought a new pack and started with the 1st pill only to find out I was only supposed to disregard my missed inactive pill and finish the other inactive pille before I could start a new one.
Avatar f tn I got my period as usual on the third day of the inactive pills. On the last day of my inactive pills, I had sex. I started a new pack the next day as usual, and three weeks later should have gotten my period earlier today. I have not had sex since starting this month's pack of pills. However, I missed one day's pill this month and took another several hours late. Could this make my period late? Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Avatar f tn I always end the pills on a Wednesday, get my period on Friday through Sunday, and that same Sunday I start the pills again. Having said that, I ended the pills for the month on Wednesday March 31, 2010. I got my period on Saturday April 3, 2010, which was normal for me. However, I had unprotected sex a day before, Friday April 2, 2010. My question is if I could be pregnant? Did I get my period because I didnt get pregnant from that day?
Avatar f tn (your not even that late at all) or the stress im guessing you took pregnancy test because you have been having unprotected sex only relying on your pills...
Avatar n tn 9/8 - 9/13 -- Took more inactive pills by accident. Had unprotected sex on 13th, took morning after pill the next day (plan B) Haven't taken any BC since, and now trying to decide when to start back up. Starting today, the 29th, would in theory be the first day of my period. But I know after coming off BC you frequently don't have a period, a noticeable one anyway, for a month or two. So I'm thinking of just starting the active pills again today.
Avatar f tn now with part of your post you said you took 1 inactive pill then the next day 2 regular pills. did you skip the entire week of the inactive pills and then double the dose of the normal b/c? if that's what you did it could be screwing with your body.
Avatar f tn That night, I decided to start my new pack of pills because of a trip I had that week. On the 29, I took two pills instead of one, and everything seemed fine. On the 2nd and 3rd of April, I noticed a light pinkish color when I wiped, I ignored it, and the next day I started my period. It has now been 8 days with my period, some days are light and some are heavy. Could I be having my period because I took one inactive pill and it started my cycle?
Avatar n tn Can she still get pregnant from me doing that and her being on her inactive pills? Even though she is on the inactive pills at the time she has not yet started her period, can that effect things? Please help!
Avatar n tn when i was on birth control i did not take the inactive pills, i just started a new pack the Sunday that i was suppsoed to. those pills are just to make sure you stay in track with taking a pill daily but i never forgot to start my new pack. If you just recently had sex, like within the past week, you would not know yet if you are pregnant. i would wait a little while longer and take a pregnancy test. or you could wait til your next period is due and if you don;t get it then take a test.
Avatar n tn I had sex with a sex worker about a day and a half ago. She performed oral sex on me with a condom and intercourse was with a condom as well. We also kissed quite a lot.. I did finger her with my bare hands and noticed my fingers were quite wet. I also sucked on her breasts after playing with them with my hands having been in her vagina. Am i at any type of risk for HIV? I'm having insane anxiety since this happened and literally wish i had not made such a stupid drunken mistake.
Avatar n tn My period usually came on Wednesday, sometimes Thursday...so on the 4th or 5th day of inactive pills. I took them for 3 years and only 3 times did I get my period on Tuesday (day 3 of inactive pills). Every other time it was Wednesday or Thursday.
Avatar f tn ) so I have been on the combination pill Femodene ed for about 5 years and have always taken it properly then last week I completely forgot to take the last active pill before the withdrawal bleeding but continued taking the active pills as per usual after the inactive pills finished.
Avatar f tn Wait....what? You started you pill pack on April 6 and had sex on April 15 and suspected your period on April 15? That makes no sence. Birth control pills are normally 21 days of active pills and 7 days inactive pills. If I'm reading this wrong, please clear it up.
Avatar f tn However, I ended up starting the new pack 8 days after I took my last active pill (so I dropped my pill on a Sunday and started the new pack on the second Monday). I had protected sex for a week after I started my new pack before having unprotected sex for the rest of the month. What are my risks of getting pregnant here?

Avatar f tn By "skip my inactive pills," do you mean avoid having a period by continuing straight through to the next month's active pills without a break?
Avatar f tn Im just kinda stressing out cuz this is the first time having sex while on the pill and then i missed taking one and idk of ill get pregnant cuz of it but i just had a baby 6 months ago and idk what id do if i got pregnant again so soon
Avatar m tn Hi. So Im on ortho triclycen low right now. On a website it says that u can stop ur period for 3 cycles if you chose to do so by continuing to take 4 packs continuously and then taking ur one week break for your period. I'm 7 days before the end of my second pack. Meaning I missed one course. I've been having a very light brown discharge for 2 days so far now. I do have sex without a condom with my bf. The pill if taken correctly is 99% effective. I take it everyday at the same time.
Avatar n tn Did you take your inactive pills? Because thats probably why if you dint.
Avatar f tn the rest 7 are inactive pills and when they are taken bleeding occurs. When you do not take these pills then menses get delayed. The other method is by taking progesterone only pills like Norethisterone. It is usually started two- three days before a period is due and then taken for the next seven days and then stopped, when normal vaginal bleeding will take place. You can talk to your gynecologist and get it prescribed as it is better to take it under medical supervision.
