Most woman don't ovulate during their periods. Its usually about 10-14 days after the first day of their period. However she could have an irregular cycle and sperm in perfect conditions can last up to 5 days. Also, birth control if taken every day at the same time is very effective however if she even misses one pill the rate of protection drops. If you don't want children at this moment in your life I would suggest not doing it.
I read somewhere on here on a different post tgat having sex right after your period can actually restart your cycle or make your period restart or come back or something like that. How true is this? Or is it true at all, and when is tge best time to be intimate if planning for a baby? My cycles have been out of whack lately, so pinpointing ovulation day has been really difficult. no one can tell you if your pregnant. you did not even mention having sex. if your pregnant then simply take a test.

Well, you can get pregnant at any point in your cycle when you have unprotected sex. Sperm can also live for several days so the last day of your period could be close enough to when you ovulate to impregnate you.

My boyfriend and I had sex (supidly) without a condom on the last day of my period. I told him to pull out but it was too late. I figured that because I still had my period there was no way i could get pregnant but now I'm reading that it may actually be a possibilty. Could I be pregnant? And if so when will I be able to know for sure because the home pregnancy tests say 5 days before your missed period, and for me the won't be for another 23-24 days! ah help.
