Avatar n tn Hi Burning during urination could be due a urinary tract infection which is the infection of the urinary system consisting of kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate (in men), urethra. It is caused by a pathogen, typically bacteria which can cause infection along the urinary tract. Diagnosis is usually by clinical features, microscopic examination or by culture of the urine. Treatment is by antibiotics which can eradicate the causative pathogen.

Avatar f tn Im 90% sure that I have a urinary tract infection but I have additional symptoms that I dont usually have. Avatar f tn My doc/midwife just diagnosed me with a urinary tract infection :( and now I'm a little worried about pre-term labor, i guess my question would be has anyone been diagnosed with same thing, if so what was your experience?
Avatar f tn Blood in urine and painful urination (and needing to go to the toilet alot) can be caused by an infection in your bladder or urinary tract infection. Now this is not necessarily caused by having sex - it can just happen out of the blue (and some women are more prone to them) so if you go to the doctor your parents need not know about your sexual activities.

Avatar n tn You may not even have to bring your dog in for an exam if the urine is positive for a simple urinary tract infection (an infection without crystals). The vet can simply give appropriate antibiotics. If your dog has crystals in his urine, the crystals would need to be identified and treatment instituted. Crystals can be dangerous in male dogs because if they become large enough they can become lodged in the urethra and cause blockage (even in dogs, though more common in male cats).
Avatar n tn You may have a urinary tract infection if you're having burning during urination. Another possible cause might be that you got a tear during sex. I would recommend seeing your Dr for a urine test to see if it is a UTI. If not then have the Dr check you for any tears.
Avatar n tn Urinary tract infections are a very common outcome of rough sex without enough lubrication. I'm assuming you're using some sort of risk reduction and birth control? If not, you're leaving yourself vulnerable to disease and/or pregnancy. Always urinate after any sexual activity. This clears out the urethra of any potential irritants. Cranberry juice is also helpful in keeping your urinary tract healthy. Now get yourself to a clinic for antibiotics. And get tested. Again. Dr.
Avatar f tn It could be a urinary tract infection, meaning infection of the bladder or kidneys. Ask your parents to take you to the doctor for a urine test, they will be able to tell for sure. I have had UTI's before and they are very easy to treat. Hope you feel better soon.
