The way I understand it is they take all your eggs out when they retreive them. So there aren't any left for you to try with on your own.... I think it's great that ya'll are still having sex and not just quiting it because you're doing IVF, but at the same time, if you want to try naturally, I think that you will have to take a break from IVF because they take all the eggs....I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong.

it is very safe to have sex during early pregnancy when u get pregnant naturaly. i cannot say about IVF. i think there should be safe too. u can ask ur docotr.

My GP has refered my dh and I to see a fertility clinic next week, i have be diagnosed during a scan for fibriods as having a 4cm fibriod and possible PCOS and my dh was also diagnosed as having low sperm motility, i have been reading up on information about this and from what i can gather IVF seems to be the only option,IUI which is another option has been said to not work in cases where there is low sperm motility.... is this true?

Hi there, I am having my first go at IVF treatment at the moment, I am day 6 of the stimulation drugs (by injection) and I am a bit concerned as today I have had loads and loads of cervical mucus, it is very stretchy and is very similar to the egg white cervical mucus I usually get when I ovulate - however what I am having is not clear, it is cloudy and a whitish grey colour. I am bit concerned as there is so much of it I have had to put a panty liner on.

Hi - My husband and I are being treated for infertility. I'll be 41 in May and my husband has a low sperm count and low morphology. I saw one RE in September who thought there might be some immune system factor in me related to our troubles getting pregnant over the previous year. He told me to stop getting allergy shots, which I did. Then we changed doctors and started getting IUI. We are currently on our 5th IUI and find out Sunday, but chances are not great this month.

Hi all, I had an IVF a few weeks ago, the doctor told us no sex during the two weeks after the ET, then after the tww I got a BFP (Thank God), blood tests confirmed I was pregnant, I'm now 5 wks / 4days, my question is can we have sex now? or should we still wait a while just till the pregnancy is stable or safe or something!! Anyone here doing IVF/ICSI? When we tried for our son we ended up having to do ICSI but got pregnant pretty quickly after starting the treatment. Now we are trying for a second child, have had 3 embryo transfers so far. Fourth one coming up in a few days. I get worried that we won't succed this time and that we will not be able to give our son a sibling. Docter is satisfied of the treatment results so far given our circumstances. The answer to that is...yes. The only reason you're not supposed to have sex during treatment of an STD is that you still have a possibility of infecting your partner. I'm positive you're not going to infect your hand with chlamydia.

I have started IVF treatment and am taking Lucrin injections, I am about to go back to my clinic on Monday (31/10/11) to get my next lot of injections to start stimulating my ovaries.
