My anecdotal story is this. I was married for about 25 years before I found out I had HCV and had contracted it before I got married. We have 5 children together. My wife has not been exposed to the virus during all of this, including sharing razors (my pet complaint!).

She received her cervical cancer (HPV I think it was) shots (1 month before we start having sex and her final shot was about 6 months into us having sex). A womans vaginal opening is somewhat protected by a tissue called a "hymen", that is usually torned during sexual activity. At most if it isn't, It is removed during durning childbirth by an obstetrician during delivery.
