Avatar f tn Are you having sex on your period? Or am I reading it wrong. You don't get pregnant that way you have to have sex when you ovulate most woman ovulate 14 days after period started.. some woman ovulate differently..
Avatar f tn Yes, you can get pregnant. You ovulate about 14 days before your expected period. You can get pregnant before or after a period if you are ovulating. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I need some help. If you don't get your period every month do you have to wait until you ovulate to get pregnant? And when you do ovulate does it last longer because you don't get a period every month?? When would you know if your pregnante or not??
Avatar f tn t know when you ovulate then really there is no safe time to be having sex and you should be using protection at all times.
Avatar f tn Lol I thought that was possible when I was little and I thought it was the scariest thing but no it is okay to have sex unless your doctor says otherwise
Avatar f tn Hi:-) having sex and not getting pregnant does not cause problems for a Woman's womb. You say you just removed and IUD ( I'm assuming that's what you mean by implant) that can cause delay in pregnancy because your period cycle needs to get back to "normal". Also, timing is a BIG factor. U can only get pregnant when you ovulate so try and keep track. Women usually ovulate 12-14 days after their period cycle.
Avatar n tn My boyfriend and I had sex on Dec 21,2013 and I ovalute on 12,23,2013 can I get pregnant that one time of having sex and he did c*m in me don't u have to have sex more than one time to get pregnant
Avatar n tn s possible that you could conceive from having sex when your did. Since we, nor you, know when you ovulate there is no safe time to have sex and you should then be using condoms at all times if not trying to conceive. All you can do is wait until your next period is due and test with first morning urine if it doesn't show.
Avatar f tn Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex the day before my period, I was going to take plan B the next day but I didn't want to mess up my period, I had all the symptoms of my period the day before I had sex, like cramping and tender breasts and I'm still having the symptoms today but I sill haven't gotten my period but still have period symptoms, should I take plan B or wait for my period?
Avatar f tn My boyfriend and i have been having sex. We use a condom and he pulls out before he ejaculates. We recently had sex while i was on period. My period ended earlier than it usually does. i guess im concerned about being pregnant. Is there a possibility?
Avatar f tn It all depends on when you ovulate, and whether or not he released inside you (since it can survive in the vagina for up to 5 days). I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you've been known to ovulate early in your cycle.
1339395 tn?1317263821 s only tell you there is a CHANCE that you are going to ovulate...they can not determine that you actual have or will. BBT charting can tell you that you DID in fact ovulate on a certain day. While it doesn't give you a heads up and let you know ahead of time, you will learn to see a pattern of when you ovulate. By using a combo of opk's and bbt you can predict when you might ovulate and then confirm that you in fact did. Good luck!
Avatar f tn s way too early to be having pregnancy symptoms even if you happened to ovulate within that two day period of time before you took Plan B. It takes a little over a week for the egg to implant once fertilized, which is why it definitely is not pregnancy symptoms that you are experiencing. When someone ovulates depends on that person's body.
865871 tn?1239306821 You only ovulate once a cycle- the last day of EWCM is the day you ovulate. So you won't know you've ovulated except in retro-spect. That's why it is important to have sex anytime you have cervical discharge (it helps keep the sperm alive as well) since you won't know the last day until it has passed. Good luck!
1487690 tn?1316760585 Do you ovulate before or after the egg white mucus? Im on cd 15 I had sex monday and this morning. I want a baby but my bf said hes not ready but now im like.... Oh oh.... I just had the egg white... Not the stringy its watery. Theres months I get it some months I dont. Idk. Does sperm really stay in... This morning like 1 am and just went to bed tmi but i was all wet in the am so hoes sperm really stay or what really happens? Cause im kinda cramping like if I was ovulating. Idk.
1562986 tn?1295038108 it would be way too early to tell it takes 10 days for a fertilised egg to implant. Also if you had sex a day before your period i would have thought ud have ovulated 14days before and since eggs only stay alive for 12-24hrs it seems impossible unless you had unprotected sex around ovulation or have irregular period. Rhi315 is correct by saying the more you stress the more it wont come, our bodies like to play cruel tricks.
Avatar m tn No. I'm not sure why you say you've not had sex, because you did. ANY penetration is sexual activity and you are no longer a virgin. The hymen isn't some magical form of birth control-it can break long before a female is ever sexually active and often she doesn't notice it. I encourage you to learn more about sex and conception before you have sex again to avoid unwanted surprises. Not only are you at risk of pregnancy, you are also at risk of disease as well.
790546 tn?1237050228 Ovulation occurs one time a month (rarely twice when fraternal twins are conceived). It is when the egg is released from the ovary. It can live up to 24-48 hours. You need to have sex before or during ovulation in order to conceive since the egg will die. As tarajanes said, sperm can live up to 5 days in the vagina. So if you know your "fertile window" start having sex a few days before you think you're going to ovulate.
Avatar f tn Very unlikely it all depends on when you ovulate but i cant see you concieving the day before your period it tends to be atleast ten days after but all women and there cycles vary
Avatar n tn You might have very well ovulated just before you were about to start. Also, every time you have sex you have a 25% chance of getting pregnant, especially during ovulation. Just keep an eye on it for a few days. If your period is pretty much normal, you may not have anything to worry about until next month since it was literally the day before you were supposed to start. If your period happens to be very LIGHT and is shorter than normal your body might be making the changes into pregnancy.
Avatar f tn So the chances of his sperm having survived since the 21st are slim since you said you usually have 29 day cycles. I would have sex tonight if you are wanting to get pregnant because the egg once released can survive 24-48 hrs. If you aren't wanting to get pregnant then wait about 3 days. Hope this is helpful.
8892684 tn?1403993984 You get pregnant when you ovulate. Many women ovulate on day 14 of their cycle (count the first day of bleeding with your period as day 1). But many women also have irregular cycles, and there is certainly no guarantee that day 14 is the day of ovulation. Your egg will last about 24-36 hours and if it is not fertilized, after that point it will not be viable. However, your partner's sperm can last 5 or 6 days in your system and still be viable.
Avatar f tn Sperm can stay inside of you for at least 5 days. So if you have sex a couple days before your ovulation day you can get pregnant and you can get pregnant up to about 3 days after you ovulate due to the sperm staying alive so out of a 28 day cycle you have at the most maybe 7 good days give or take of fertility. I could be totally wrong, but I've done my homework. Track your ovulation schedule, there are tools online that can help you.
Avatar f tn If your spotting goes to a period, it's just a period, so you wait until you're done and then you try again. But after you conceive it takes somewhere in the range of 8-10 days for the baby to implant and start producing the hormones that the pregnancy test measures, so that's why I say wait 2 weeks...doing it earlier would probably be a waste of your money.
Avatar n tn But if you have a much longer cycle, ovulation is around 14 days before your period. But when you ovulate is different for each woman. The average is day 14 but you may ovulate earlier or later than this. When you ovulate your egg only lives for 24 hours. So theoretically you have 24 hours in which you can get pregnant. But having said that sperm can live for up to 5 days.
Avatar f tn Ovulation time is when you want to try:) most women ovulate 14 days before their expected period hints the name "2 weeks wait" to see if you conceived.
