Anytime I have sex and remove my Nuva ring right before, I end up having fresh, bright red, blood during sex. It’s so frustrating. However, the past time we had sex I decided to not use the nuva ring for the past two weeks and everything was perfectly fine. No blood. It also isn’t painful when there is blood. I don’t know if the nuva ring is irritating my cervix or what.
I am experiencing the same on the nuva ring and really wanting to tell my husband I don't want to use it anymore. I thought I may be the only one experiencing that. I also had yeast. Sex was good before the nuvaring and there is no way it's not the nuvaring as your doctor may try and tell you so. I am scared to have sex because of how it may feel. My boyfriend and I were just having sex and when he came we noticed some traces of blood on his penis. After figuring out it was coming from me, I took out my NuvaRing (which I am going to officially remove tomorrow-the end of the three week cycle) and rinsed the blood off then fished for any blood. There is just light bleeding but I believe it is mildly consistent. We were going kind of rough, but I'm not really in any pain.
my doctor told me I was suppose to wait 7 days before the nuvaring can take effect after I inserted the nuvaring on the 4th day of my period.. I had sex with my boyfriend on two of the days before the 7 days were up.. but we did the pull out method. I have an ovulation calender on my phone and it said that I would ovulate a couple days after the 7th day was up.. do I have anything to worry about still if I didnt ovulate during the time I had sex?
Theres always a possibility of being pregnant when having unprotected sex, even if you're on birth control. You're supposed to start Nuvaring during the first 5 days of your period for it to be effective immediately otherwise you aren't protected for around 7 days. The best thing to do is not stress and get a test done.

I took the ring i had in out, and went back to work for four hours until i could pick up my new nuvaring at the pharmacy after work. I put it in as soon as i got home, thinking i was putting it in on the first day of my period so i would be immediately protected. I woke up the next morning and now there is no blood, so i must not be having a period. Should I take my new nuvaring out and try to have a period or just keep it in and wait seven days to have intercourse?
Same happened to me. Swollen right side of the penis after having sex two times with my wife, without removing the nuvaring. It doesn't hurt and it isn't irritated, just size increased, like irritated ganglions. Now I'm worried about cancer and if it doesn't go away in 5 days, I'll go check it ...
even if the sperm is still there, there's no egg to be fertilized, because you shouldn't be ovulating... it takes some time after you stop hormonal birth control methods to be fertile again.

I have a question my first time using the nuvaring and I took it out that 2nd week so onJune 29 I took my nuvaring out and never put it back in had sex the next day and we had sex 3 times that day ... I am 38 years old. I have never been pregnant. On the Nuva Ring for 2 years. About 3 years ago I started having these "episodes" after an orgasm. I was not on any birth control at the time or for 10 years prior to these events happening. I feel intense cramping and the need to have a bowel movement. It can last up to 30 minutes sometimes. Cramping, sweating, a bowel movement or a few and then relief. It is exhausting and very painful.
The cramps could be because of the Nuvaring. Remember that you're putting a foreign object in to your body so your body could react to that by cramping. Since it's so close to your period the cramps might be because you're getting ready to start.
I recommend you see your gynecologist to tell him/her what happened. They might want to do a blood test to see if you're pregnant. Blood tests can detect very early pregnancies.
I just started NuvaRing on the 5th day after my period ended (December 30th). I know that you must use a back-up method for a minimum of 7 days. My fiance and I had unprotected sex on December 31st and again on January 1st. I read that it would be too soon for me to be ovulating (January 5th through the 10th is what I researched through an ovluation calendar).I have had cramping in my left side, but I believe that it is absolutely too early to have any signs of pregnancy.

if it was the NuvaRing you would've gotten symptoms right away. If you're having rashes and it hurts down in your lower regions you need to get to a gyno asap it could be anything from a severe yeast infection to an STD. GL and I certainly hope it's nothing serious.
Well , I started the Nuvaring as soon as my period came on last Wednesday , as I was told by my doctor to do so . And it made my period light , but made me cramp for 4 days straight . So I took it out on the fourth day because I thought the cramps would stop . On the 5th day , my period went off as it should ; but came back on later that night . It was weird because it was brown at first . But the next day it was bright red and heavy and has been that way since .
i started Nuvaring 3 weeks ago yesterday when i was supposed to ive had sex w/o protection quite a few times since. I was supposed to start my period yesterday Im NEVER late early if anything I took a pregnancy test last night and it came back negative. Is it possible that I am pregnant and that its just not showing up positive yet?
