They gave me meds when sewing me up that made me soooo out of it. I barely remember that first day after the hour recovery. (Except that I was absolutely starving all day, couldn't get out of bed because I had these inflating bag things on my legs, and I was catheterized until the next day!!!) I didn't know anything about birth plans or that I could have possibly had a say in anything, so definitely talk to your doctor about anything you wish to happen.

I didn't wait the 6 weeks, My doctor told me 4 weeks with a C section and I think I had sex after 2 weeks or so. Don't do a position that will have pressure on the incision.

Well I had sex 4 weeks after my c section after my 1st post partum visit to doctors and it did hurt so we had to use lube and that helped a lot and made it more enjoyable

I've had 5 m/c's. All lasted like a normal period for me 5-6 day.

Um yeah, you shouldn't be having sex that soon after a c-section especially...I had one with my first and bled heavy for six weeks. You shouldn't be doing any abdominal exercise/using your abs at all right now unless your dr oks it!!!

With my first I had sex a week and a half afterwards. My situation was a lil diff tho cuz I had an emergency c section at 25 wks. I'm having a planned c section around 37 wks this time so I'm sure I will wait a lil longer cuz I will need more recovery time. When I did have sex I do not recall any pain or anything tho. They did advise that I wait 6 wks.... But i couldn't wait that long.

had my first 2 vaginal and tore so bad on both and could barely sit after that..its alot of stitches with c section but different.

I had bleeding after sex. In my 2nd trimester. . Doc said it was just that my cervix was sensitive and the add blood flow to that area.. he explained that sometimes small blood vessels break during sex and it's what causes the bleeding. But that it was nothing to do with the baby. Mine was alot of bleeding. Dripped down my leg. Now your 37 weeks. I doubt it's something to worry abt. I'm 38 and my doc said to go to the hospital if I experienced alot of bleeding.

Anyone had a c-section, appendix removal, cyst removal, or anything else? I had keyhole kidney surgery 2 years ago and I was so.worried that it would affect my pregnancy. Anyone have troubles with scar tissue? I'm almost 20 weeks. I was thinking as I got bigger it would affect the area. My doctor said i should be fine. But my scar is right through the muscle. Also, I am planning on giving birth naturally. Will contractions and pushing hurt more because of the surgery I had?

I personally had sex 2 weeks after my c section. I know it was way earlier than what the docs said. They said to wait for the clear at my 6week post check up. I didn't wait. I didn't have any problems having sex that early. I don't recommend it though since everybody is different especially healing wise.

I had an emergency csection with my now 2 year old, and my doctor wont do vaginal after csection...so he said when we find out the sex of baby #2 we will schedule my csection...itll be about 5-7 days before my due date. (May19) anyone else have to have a csection?
