I would suggest going back to your doctor and discuss your worries with him in full,it could be you have a viral infection that needs some meds to clear properly,that said unprotected sex always runs he risk of contracting an STD ..... Go back to your doctor and also your local GUM Clinic to be tested that is the only way you can rule out an STD.
Hi theres no tablet for virus so must have been bacterial.
I had a gum infection about a month ago and the dentist put me on antibiotics and i took the full course. I thought that had got rid of the infection because i didn't have the vile taste in my mouth that i had.
I worrying today because i can taste the taste i had when i had the infection. The other day i kissed and was intimate with a man and i thought it had cleared so i didn't worry about the infection that day.
The lymphocytes were merely 14 values above the upper range and my GP said this was simply a viral infection like the flu or similar. However, since I know that I have this gum problem, I'd like to ask a dentist whether it is also possible that bacteria in a gum pocket may slightly increase the lymphocytes.
My dentist cleaned the gum using a syringe directly on the gum pocket. It was not a regular dental plaque removal, since I have an otherwise healthy gum.

On the same day crown was fitted pt was diagnosed by primary care physician w viral infection (cold) and bacterial (sinus) infection. Also on same day crown was fitted pt had two moles removed w subsequent skin infection at removal sites (swelling, redness, pus) resolved after about 1-2 wks. Antibiotic was RX by primary care physician for sinus infection only; also during this time both of the pain medications listed above were RX (along w OTC ibuprofen).

ve been noticing these tiny red pin pricks all over my arms, thighs and stomach. I do not have any other symptoms such as nose bleeds, bleeding gum, fever or a viral infection. I had a root canal in one of my lower molars some years ago, and recently the gum around it became inflamed. I went for my normal check-up and the dentist said that it was infected and prescribed antibiotics (I finished the prescribed course). She also told me to brush three times a day. I went back the next week, as the filling fell out of it, and she said that it was looking better, re-filled the tooth and recommended Corsodyl for a couple of weeks.
hello to all , and i hope my post finds u all in better health and spirit , could any of u pleaseeee advice or tell me if nicotine gum ( nicorette ) can elevate liver enzimes , my alt is 340 and ast 110 . i have been chewing the gum for over 6 months ( about 7-8 / 2mg gums ) a day , i do have hcv but have never had such high enzyimes for such a long period , i got infected 3 years ago .... i dont drink and am trying to quit smoking with the help of the gum .
She has x-rayed the tooth (it had a root canal years ago) and says that the root canal is intact, and that the infection is in a pocket between the tooth and the gum. She advised increased dental hygiene in order to shift the infection, and said that there was nothing else she could do beyond extracting the tooth. Since then I have been beyond meticulous in trying to keep my teeth clean.
