Avatar m tn In 2011 I noticed a flesh colored growth like papilloma on my gum between my teeth which at the time it didnt dawn on me that it could be HPV so I actually removed the growth well since then the growth has returned and slightly bigger I do not experience any pain or bleeding unless I floss the area I cant afford to receive medical attention is there anything I can do?
Avatar m tn I do see some gum recession and swelling. It could be from the filling. I take it they did an impression for the new crown? Did that hurt when it was done? You can always call your dentist and ask if you can stop by to have it looked at. It does look like irritation, but you want to make sure there is no infection going on.
Avatar m tn On the 17th day, I woke up with two oral ulcers (one in the central lower gum, the other in the upper right gum). At late afternoon, I noticed small rashes on both my palm. The next day, day 18th, I had 2 watery bowel movements, liquid stools. And I also have slight feeling of dizziness. I had an oral swab hiv test on the 19th day, it was negative. But I am still very worried. I took several oral body temp and it ranges from 36.6-37.1 celsius, armpit temp is 35.8-36.3 celsius.
Avatar m tn The infection forms at the root, and then eats away at the gum tissue, eventually creating a channel that leads to the gum surface. Once the channel reaches the gum surface, it appears to be a pimple or raised, white growth. Gumboils often (though not always) hurt, and sometimes the tooth feels raised or displaced.
Avatar f tn I saw a photo board of a couple and in the first photo it was of themselves sitting cross legged, he had a piece of blue gum in his hand and she had a piece of pink gum. The next frame they were both blowing bubbles with their gum. The next frame she had popped his bubble so only her bubble remained, showing it was a girl. that was pretty cute.
Avatar n tn I had a gum infection about a month ago and the dentist put me on antibiotics and i took the full course. I thought that had got rid of the infection because i didn't have the vile taste in my mouth that i had. I worrying today because i can taste the taste i had when i had the infection. The other day i kissed and was intimate with a man and i thought it had cleared so i didn't worry about the infection that day.
Avatar f tn Hello beautiful people of medhelp! I got my Wisdom teeth removed 4 days ago and I have had good recovery no dry sockets or infections. The only problem I have is that near my back left molar I have a piece of inflamed gum that keeps bleeding because its sitting on to of my teeth so when I bite down I can't bide down all the way because i'm crushing the inflamed gum. I have a photo that shows it clearly but don't know how to post it here in the forums.
Avatar n tn Hi, a few weeks ago I noticed that one of my teeth was swollen and then saw that it looks like another tooth is coming up behind it (see photo). So I went out and got one of those dental mirrors, and I also noticed that there is a hole in the lower backside of my gums where you can see the teeth... hard to explain, english isn't my native language. But, I pointed an arrow to it where it's in the photo.
Avatar m tn Hi friends, I need some help identifying this - https://www.dropbox.com/s/pgblnmdgkhuj2s4/2019-01-28_20-16-46.png?dl=0 (photo of my gum) it's really painful and sensitive. But it wont last for more than 2-3 days. After 2-3 days the pain and sensitiveness will go off, but the swelling will be there. Last month I had this sharp pain for like 2-3 days.. anyone had similar issues? is this a dental abscess? if so, any home remedy?
Avatar f tn My enamel has been gone for 2-3 years and I have a few pretty bad teeth including 4 front upper teeth with gum line erosion. But I have the very last upper molar on the left that is "blown out" and yesterday morning it felt different than usual. The outside of my gum touching my cheek was swollen instead of the inside like usual. I got curious and looked and it looks like a huge pimple is in between the molar and my gum.
Avatar f tn I had a root canal in one of my lower molars some years ago, and recently the gum around it became inflamed. I went for my normal check-up and the dentist said that it was infected and prescribed antibiotics (I finished the prescribed course). She also told me to brush three times a day. I went back the next week, as the filling fell out of it, and she said that it was looking better, re-filled the tooth and recommended Corsodyl for a couple of weeks.
Avatar f tn She has x-rayed the tooth (it had a root canal years ago) and says that the root canal is intact, and that the infection is in a pocket between the tooth and the gum. She advised increased dental hygiene in order to shift the infection, and said that there was nothing else she could do beyond extracting the tooth. Since then I have been beyond meticulous in trying to keep my teeth clean.
Avatar m tn For the last 3 days i have had a mouth ulcer located on the bottom left of my lip most likely caused by biting this part of my gum excessively while eating. almost everytime i chew a sharp tooth accidentally bites into the ulcer 8/10 times it will bleed for a very short period of time. Today i was eating a apple and i yet again bit into my gum it bled for a few seconds and stopped.
Avatar n tn Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me I had my Upper left Wisdom Tooth out almost 3 Weeks ago, just by normal extraction & I am still suffering with pain. I get earache in my left ear & pain behind my left eye, and when the pain comes on my teeth feel weird like I need to bite down, it's a bit hard to explain!
Avatar n tn One prostitute hold my hands strongly after when I noticed my hand red in colour after 3 weeks I had a suddenly flu fever bleeding in my gum high blood pressure bad taste in my salaiva mouth ulcer still I got ulcer weight loss Unexplained tirdness and some black spots in my hand after some weeks I was normal still I got bad taste in my gum and mouth ulcer my weight remain same .when I concent with doctor they said cos of this HIV won't spread.
Avatar n tn Over the next two days I noticed that one or two of the spots appeared to have ulcerated and I went to a private GUM clinic the next day. The doctor who examined me (Doctor A) said that the lesions looked quite small, but that the most likely cause was HSV. He then took a PCR swab (from within the urethra - ow! And he says, he also took a swab from the lesions). He gave me Aciclovir, which I took (5 per day for 5 days) and the sores cleared up after a further three days.
Avatar n tn Hi megs222726, I just read your comments. First of all I wouldn't push on the outside of your gum. If you think there is a possible infection, I think I would get yourself an appointment with your dentist as soon as possible. Infections in the mouth can get quite serious. You should be seen by your dentist asap, i.e. some time within the next 2 - 3 days if not sooner. An acquaintance of our family passed away as a result of a tooth infection. He was faily elderly and had other issues.
Avatar f tn I recently notice my right side of my face around the gum area sowllen and I have a big red bumb were the tooth is .. What should I do?
Avatar n tn Several months ago I got a new crown. While looking at one of the x-rays (Photo No.1 in my album) taken right after the procedure, I noticed a darker than usual area near the margin of the crown. On another x-ray that was taken during the same visit (Photo No. 2 in my album) and a third x-ray taken three months later (Photo No. 3 in my album), the dark area is not as obvious, though. My question is: Is the dark shadow in the first photo indicating an open margin?
Avatar n tn Hi Sevina, from what i have heard, a gum abscess is an infection and the puss coming out is evidence. You really should see your dentist about this and get some antibiotics to clear it up.
Avatar n tn I viewed the photo. Thanks for posting it! The problem with outer ear infections in Chinchilla's is that they can lead to middle and inner ear infections if not treated. The ear infection could be due to an infestation of ear mites, a bacterial or fungal infection or a combination. I can't tell from the photo what kind of infection it is but I am leaning toward a bacterial infection.
Avatar m tn So I guess - 5 weeks of these burning sensations and this week the rash developed - are these indicative of a fungal infection (this is quite common?) - and should I start believeing the things the GUM and Dr are telling me.
Avatar n tn Lymph nodes filter infection and swell when infection is normally present. They can take a long time to reduce in size once the infection is gone though. Was this node swollen before you saw your dentist? If so, it may just be residual. If not, a call to your dentist would be in order. Hope this helps. Try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water, too.
Avatar f tn Interesting that you had a test for Ureaplasma; most STD experts recommend against such testing, since Ureaplasma is generally considered a normal bacteria in the genital tract and most experts are not certain it ever causes disease. We never test for it in my STD clinic. However, this is a somewhat controversial area. In any case, since your test became negative after treatment, I see no reason for continued concern about it.
Avatar n tn About 3 months ago I had some cosmetic dental work done on my top four front teeth to close a gap tha I had. I had four temporary crowns for about 2 weeks, and I developed a gum infection around the crowns. My dentist explained that this was because temporaries don't fit snuggly at the gum line, which can cause bacteria to develop. He decided to remove the temporaries and cement in the permanents. He gave me a perscription mouthwash and oral antibiotics.
