242516 tn?1368223905 The flu has passed epidemic rates in much of the country, and if you don't have a cold, I'm sure you have a friend who has the sniffles, fever, chills, aches and pains of a viral upper respiratory infection. This is different from a bacterial infection such as sinusitis, bronchitis, or pneumonia. A viral infection doesn't improve with antibiotics as these infections do. A virus hijacks your own body's healthy cells and uses it to reproduce and spread.

Avatar f tn things happen like this discharge you describe while pregnant. Generally, green or yellowish discharge is a sign of infection. Avatar m tn I discovered today that a very boldly green discharge comes out of both nipples when my breasts are squeezed. If I look closely, some parts are much darker green than others. I looked for info in different places and all I could come up with was mammary duct ectasia, but I'm 22 years old and everyone says that is for women over 40. There is no extra pain or abnormalities in my breasts, though one or the other will just suddenly sting intensely on a random day.
