9088869 tn?1401643539 This is a group of doctors that are all Endocrinologist-that's their specialty. My family doctor knew my problem but wasn't a specialist in that field so, she sent me to this doctor. He did, according to the paper work given, a "Hepatic Panel" to include Protein, Albumin ALT, AST, and a Total, Direct and Indirect Bilirubin. I have no idea what that is and why they checked it. I'm to go back in about three more weeks for more blood work to see how the meds given have worked.
Avatar m tn The released stem cells then follow the concentration gradient of these compounds and leave the blood circulation to migrate to the organ where they proliferate and differentiate into cells of this organ, supporting the natural process of renewal
251922 tn?1193786078 I injected my arm today it wasn't bad. My thighs are actually getting black and blue. I have always had trouble with giving blood or getting shots. So I think I may need to find a few more places to poke for a while.
359389 tn?1289793384 My doctor is perplexed by the high PSA numbers, but for now we proceed with the normal routine of blood tests every three months. John Piper's short treatise on "Not Wasting Your Cancer" with addendums by David Powlinson has been a great resource for me. I had a pretty good handle on the cancer, but I gained a new (better) perspective and an appreciation of what was happening to me, through me, and in me after reading it. 1916673 tn?1420236870 I couldn't leave it ... so here I am. Firstly, the good news is that most of the blood levels are absolutely normal. It's a bit tricky sometimes, because the normal v abnormal levels are slightly different in the US to the UK, because labs do the work in a slightly different way - so it all took a little double-checking on my part. There are some very interesting results, however, which need attention.

710547 tn?1295449630 I did have a lot of deterioration and strange things happening in my spine, but the big news was my brain. I've been havine right sided muscle loss and weakness and pain, and more concerning - aphasia. I was getting so bad that on the phone I'd have to apologize - also just talking to friends. Word finding and fluidity were going.
Avatar n tn If I had contracted Hep C, would they have noticed something wrong with my blood and known that I had it then, or is Hep C the type of thing they need to be speifically looking for to find? The reason I'm asking is because my last treatment was Dec. 20th and since then, not only have I not had sex with my girfriend very often (maybe 3 or 4 times because we split up for a couple weeks), but we haven't had anything but normal, vaginal sex since then.
Avatar n tn I also am having blood in my spit. I've been to an ENT, a gastroentorologist, and my primary care. I've been scoped every which way. No sinus bleeding, no stomach or ulcer bleeding, clean chest xray and semi clean CT scan. The CT scan came back with enlarged nasal walls, which are symptomatic of a person with constant allergies and sinus problems, which is me. The ENT put me on a nasal spray as well, to hopefully reduce that and I'm going for another CT scan in 6 weeks.

Avatar f tn 5 million (I have the actual number in my lab report but am too afraid to actually look at it again. I'm so darn afraid and am still in a state of shock. Thought maybe joining this group could help me to face this reality better than I have been. I feel so hopeless and am so scared! Even as I am typing this, I can't believe I'm revealing this to people that I don't even know.
Avatar n tn all fruit, juices and tomatoes, green and colored peppers, it will spike your blood pressure starting about a half hour after eating and lasting for 4 to 5 hours. Here are some links that I found to be most helpful. www.phionbalance.com, www.ayushveda.com and www.adrenalfatigue.org Hope this helps. I'm finding that these conditions usually involve more than one physical problem. All involve stress and food.
Avatar f tn Ever since my second month on my period, I haven't been really leaking blood. It was always the same clear stuff. Can anyone help me with the problem??
Avatar n tn My wife said lets get a second opinion from a reputable liver specialist. I went a gave 11 tubes of blood. The blood was used for 25 liver tests. Some tests had mutiple tests within. I also had a CT scan of my abdomen area. The results came back: antibody to HCV, virus undetectably by PCR.
Avatar n tn Simple question here, has anyone ever had a negative blood test and negative urine test and went on with their daily routine and a month or so later found out you were in fact pregnant while having ultrasound done. If this has happened to anyone or perhaps someone you know, please respond, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks.
Avatar m tn If the Hemopurifier being tested by AEMD in India is able to reduce viral loads in blood of HCV infected subjects, then how could this not be anything but helpful? I am sure that it is not cure because not every copy of the virus is in the blood. There are likely only a small percentage that in the blood. But from the virus''s point of view , is it not a numbers game. Because the reason that a person's own immune system can not rid the body of the virus is because the virus keeps mutating?

Avatar m tn After 5 months, alot of blood work, and hard work by my doctor the only thing that has turned up is an active thyroid. Hypothyroidism is what we "think" is the concern. It has been checked 3 times, and twice it was off. My doctor proscribed some medicine(Levothyroxine, lowest dose possible for now- .25 or 25) for 2 months. In 6 weeks we'll do blood work again and see if I still have the inner cold feeling.
Avatar n tn Since you have all your doctors' blessings and the green light, I think this is wonderful news. Take very good care of yourself and I'll say a prayer for you and the baby!
Avatar m tn And get this, all that protein and fiber—in conjunction with a handful of healthy fats and a comparatively small dose of carbohydrates—help insure a low impact on your blood sugar. That’s great news for pre-diabetics and anyone watching their weight. So what’s the trade off? There is none. Quinoa’s soft and nutty taste is easy to handle for even picky eaters and it cooks just like rice, ready in about 15 minutes.
315996 tn?1429057829 Go for the green! I learned a new word this week, 'catechin', from HR's old posts. 1301089 tn?1290670171 fox news The British-based Reuters news agency has been stung for the second time by charges that it edited politically sensitive photos in a way that casts Israel in a bad light. But this time Reuters claims it wasn’t at fault. The news agency reacted to questions raised by an American blogger who showed that Reuters' photo service edited out knives and blood traces from pictures taken aboard the activist ship Mavi Marmara during a clash with Israeli commandos last week.

Avatar m tn Women who do not have enough vitamin B12 in their blood before and after conception have a greater chance of having a baby with brain or spinal cord defects, a new study says. Most at risk may be vegans and vegetarians, since B12 is far more common in meat and animal-based foods, noted an American and Irish research team whose findings were published in the March issue of Pediatrics.. According to the study, women with low levels of B12 had at least 2.
