Avatar n tn I'm a 49 year old male in excellent health (competitive cyclist). About a month ago my son noticed that one of my eyes was larger than the other. I did some research, contacted my internest, and then went to have my T3, TSH, and T4 levels checked. The results came back with the following values... T3 3.4 TSH 1.1 T4 1.2 I guess the good news is that my values are within the range of being "normal".
Avatar n tn What can the doctor do for you if your TSH is ok, but you're having a Hashi's episode? I'm on .88 mcg Synthroid, labs are fine, but still exhausted and foggy. Can' function this way, but don't know what to do or what to ask for. ???
Avatar n tn Since December of 2007, I have been trying to find out what is going on with me. I have a nodule on my right thyroid gland...they did ultrasound, normal, a biopsy, normal, and a thyroid uptake scan, normal, but I still have the nodule, and they can't figure out what is going on. Both blood tests I have recieved, my Free T4 has come back normal, but my TSH levels are very very low, almost non-existant. The one taken in December my Free T4 was 0.98NG/DL and my TSH was <0.06L mIU/L.
Avatar n tn 0 on your TSH level - you could be considered as normal. Symptomatically- you feel bad - so your physician should be helping you feel better.
Avatar f tn I have been having difficulties quite sometime now and labs show normal but I feel terrible and eye doctor suspects graves disease (I never mentioned anything to him regarding thyroid issues). I also have insulin resistance and arthritis. Fatigue, bone pain, irritability and extreme stiffness after doing physical housework, walking and other activity are everyday symptoms I have learned to live with. Lab results were as follows: TPO AB 7 TSH 0.93 T3 Uptake 24 antithyroglobulin AB <1.
Avatar m tn I received my labs in the mail today. Here are the numbers: T4, FREE - 2.1 H reference range .5 - 1.7 T3 - 2.1 H reference range 0.0 1.8 TSI - 535 H reference range 0 - 139 Anti Thyroglobulin - 94 H reference range 0 - 40 Thyroid Microsomal Antibody - 90H reference range 0 -34 So I guess all are high. Do I start taking the Tapazole even if I have no symptoms?
Avatar f tn In some cases you can have both autoimmune diseases at the same time which is called Hashitoxicosis. Sometimes the labs can be normal as both diseases can mess with the labs. In my case I had subclinical hypo labs with major hyper symptoms due to Graves antibodies. The term Hashitoxicosis is also used for the leakage symptoms of active Hashimoto's thyroiditis (in other words hyper symptoms show up on and off usually in the early stages of the disease).
Avatar m tn Just because your thyroid labs are in the normal range, doesn't mean they are good for you... In the June 5 labs, your FT4 was actually above range, and so your thyroid was over producing, at that time, even though your FT3 was only at 51% of range. In the June 21 labs, your FT3 was at 3.9, which is 92% of its range; that's pretty high even though it's still in range and it took quite a jump in the 16 days between the 2 labs.
Avatar f tn m wondering if anyone know about tsi levels, mine is 156 now after a battle with graves disease for the last year. My thyroid t4 and T3 are normal now, but my TSH is still 00.01. I'm only on 5mg methimazola, but if I don't have dairy I only have to take 2.5 of atd.
1518151 tn?1320448947 Well, I realized that unfortunately, the lab skipped the TSI, which was ordered in November. But I had them do with my last labs. I thought it was odd that my endo didn't do as she suspected graves. 12/20- thyrogl Ab 95.5 H Ref (0-40.
1039061 tn?1257878294 No I haven't gotten the last tests yet. Endo said not til January. I have been thinking about taking the order to my PCP and seeing if she will order the tests so that I can find out for sure. What is your opinion?
558632 tn?1303471125 Want to start getting some of the weight put on my this terrible but affective med. So anyone feel normal when levels are normal like doc says i should? hello, don't i still have graves and doesn't the normal only mean that the ptu is ineffect tricking my thyroid to think it is normal, this all baffles me.
Avatar f tn We increased my Synthroid once just when we transferred the embryos, and then again when I was still feeling bad (to 150 mg), but that was right before we got a negative test result. My T3 is on the lower side and I am getting feedback from thyroid forums that this was causing me to feel so bad all through my IVF cycle, but my doc does not test for T3 (not sure why!) so at the start of my cycle it was at 2.02 and at the end was at 2.30 (range being 2.0-4.4). Could a low T3 cause the loss?
Avatar n tn the author Elaine Moore, who wrote books on Graves says that normal people have no tsi or 2 percent, I think. Mine was 109 at diagnosis, even though the normal goes up to 125, that's bull! Some just don't feel symptoms till they reach that. I had an uptake scan too, which was normal but on the high side. I have heard the TRab test or the TBII is supposed to show remission. My doc argues this, he says it's just for diagnosing Graves. What was your TSI? What are your labs?
Avatar n tn I have a normal t3 and t4, but my tsh is undetectable. Could is be something more than Graves? My dr is treating it as graves and increased my medication for the third time. But I'm tired of feeling crappy all the time.
Avatar f tn also in the past 3 weeks I stopped taking my propranolol due to i wanted to know how i feel, and since then i have been feeling very good, my palpitations slowed down, and i have normal heart rate, no shaking, no hair loss, all in all i feel so normal....when we go back to JAX Florida this coming Next week I have been reffered to an ENDO for treatment. My question is Can i just not take any treatments right now, since I been feeling well...
8437409 tn?1403677096 Initially when I was diagnosed 9 years ago I had gone thru 6 months of diarrhea after having my first born son and went from 160 to 118 lbs. I was diagnosed hyperthyroid and graves disease. I was the worst case that had ever seen and TSH was 0.. to sure on others.
Avatar f tn I really thought I was losing my mind, I have had this for about 4 yrs and just now was diagnosed with Graves disease. My Dr put me on Methimazole and after 3 weeks had a severe reaction and was covered head to toe with a horrible insanely itchy rash. Mr Endo told me I have a couple options radio active iodine or somthing else which he did not tell me what. My question is how has the radio active iodine worked for others?
Avatar f tn Dear Dr Lupo, I am hoping you can can shed some light on my Thyroid situation as I feel so terrible emotionally and pshychologically and at times am just holding on. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease in 1999 ( I think I had had it for years). I had a small goiter at the time and a "hot" thyroid. No nodules I dont think. Had all classic symptoms; hair loss, fast pulse (160bpm resting), extremely hot, tremors, bulging eyes, headaches, illness, hyper but then fatigued.
Avatar f tn I am now diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroiditis and still waiting to feel better. My Free T3 and T3 seem to be in the normal high and my FT4 is on the low side of normal. Is this a false conversion problem (TBG is normal)? Or if not could you give me suggestions on how to proceed forward? I know that my normal is not being met just because the labs show "normal limit". I am having symptoms of both hypothyroid and hyperthyroid. I am on no medications at this time.
11305174 tn?1417062755 I have also started gaining weight and I got my TSH, T3 and T4 tested last week which were normal now but doctor has advised me to get them tested agagin after a month. This disease is very rare. and confusing because of its vague symptoms.
