Having young children at home makes it difficult to get out to a gym or aerobics class, but I really want to start exercising more. Are there any videos out there that offer a good cardio workout, are easy to follow, and fun? Thanks for any suggestions.

Avatar f tn Plus, I would like to look semi-decent to be able to even show up at a gym. (Yea, I've let myself go that bad.) I have a mini stair stepper, a treadmill, dumbells, 2 exercise balls (one is medium sized and prickly, and the other is slightly bigger and smooth), and an adjustable exercise bench. I really don't know where to start between the stretching, lifting, cardio, yoga, etc; along with diet and nutrition. Oh and I have a yoga mat. I think I may still have my stretchy resistance bands.
Avatar n tn but you didn't state what the diet menu is and the calories. at the gym do weights first and cardio last. Doing cardio first you become tired and then it's harder to do proper weight training. Try the following routine! The Peak 8 routine it will quickly raise your heart rate 8 times for very short bursts, with a cooling down period in between. Ideally you’ll be sprinting or cycling full throttle for 30 seconds with a 90 second cool down in between each outburst.
773214 tn?1295138669 I walk for 30 minutes 4 times a week at least. I have a treadmmill at home, so I use that if it's raining and I do some stretches. I really need to do some light workouts for my arms, but I figure lifting the baby when he/she comes will get them right back into shape.

Day 1, Legs. Day 2, Chest and tri's. 3) back 4) back 5) Delts. So my question is this....what do you think would be a great way to get my workouts showing quicker and better results? Thanks again.

I chose a gym that is close to my trainstation that I get out of from work (so I would be more inclined into going after work) and also this gym is good because it's well over 20 blocks from house. I plan to walk going and coming home so that will burn more calories too! I'm so excited!!!!
900662 tn?1469393905 you don't risk injuring yourself with a fall as long as you don't drown. You have minimal impact on your joints. you can get in a really good cardio workout in the pool. You don't have to just swim laps - try some other exercises and jogging is very good. Keep it up - anything you do to move, including yelling about NFL games, is better than nothing.

I will be 9 weeks tomorrow and I want to start going and do light work out,any advice on working out during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I also thought maybe I wasn't eating enough close to gym time, so I have been making it a point to eat a good snack (tuna and crackers, banana, yogurt with granola, etc.) at least 30 minutes before my workout. Although the episodes aren't as frequent as when I wasn't eating anything before the gym, I am still experiencing these "near pass out" episodes about once a month. The only thing that helps when an episode occurs is laying flat on the ground for about 5-10 minutes.

Avatar n tn One of the guys there at the gym said there is no way I should be doing ANY weights for at least 6-8 weeks... he was suprized the Dr's ok-d me to go for it. I way overdid on Monday and so I just went easy today (Wed) and am still sore (in my neck) but I am just going slow. As far as the hypo part.... just stay on your meds and get them regulated and there should be no problems.

There are things you can do to reduce DOMS: --Decrease inflammation. You can do this by drinking plenty of water and green tea, sticking to a healthy diet with plenty of colorful fruits and vegetables, and taking an anti-inflammatory OTC if pain is very bad.

I did 15 on the bike, and didn't go very fast, and 15 on the elyptacal (sp?) which is just like running or walking, and I did a fast walk. Now my abdomen hurts....any clue? Could it be a sign of pregnancy? I'm due for AF from two days to two weeks from now, depending on when I ovulated. I think I ovulated 10-11 days ago, since I was having cramps.
Avatar f tn So I'm on week 10, 1st pregnancy and nausea is somewhat controllable, at least enough to get back on the workout wagon. I'm wondering if anyone else has any desire to workout. I soooo badly need motivation and I really miss working out. Also Just found out that I've added 6lbs already and I'm not yet even done with my 1st trimester yet. Well, anyways just want to see if anyone else is looking for similar motivation, we can check in every once in a while to encourage each other.
Avatar n tn It was not accompanied by a ringing sound or anything like that, it simply became more and more muffled over the course of about 15 to 30 seconds until I could barely hear anything at all. My body felt slightly numb but not overly so while this was happening. The whole event lasted about 5 minutes and then my hearing returned. Suffice it to say I suspended my workout routine, I spent the rest of the day feeling somewhat groggy and I had a mild headache.

So every day I'm doing machines for one area plus the cardio (jogging or eliptical).
