1487612 tn?1288120383 It's sort of what some kids do in this day and age so they won't have to hassle with birth control, but it doesn't protect against STDs, and is a kind of weird way to get introduced to sex -- no real natural rhythm or way for your body to get adjusted to sex. If you're going to do it, be sure it is reciprocal, and if you don't get pleasure from your partner giving you oral sex, there is no reason you should do it.
Avatar n tn The best to reach one is for the woman to go on top, where she is able to take control and also the rhythm is good on your clitoris. It is also good for him to use his fingers on it during sex as most woman need this to reach an orgasm during sex too.

Avatar n tn If your heart is out of rhythm or is beating too fast or too slow, a pace maker will be programmed to override your body when necessary. This will of course make you feel a lot better because your heart will constantly work as it should. I will never forget an old man who was in the bed next to me in hospital last year. He could hardly walk, hardly talk and was always falling asleep. He was taken to a different hospital in the morning and returned the following day.
716924 tn?1235869479 m laying down, I can watch my shirt bob up and down just for my regular rhythm. My heart has rolled pencils off my chest. Sometimes if I'm laying on my side a certain way and it's really quiet, I can see that my entire body is gently rocking to the beat of my heart. And since it's always been that way, I've never associated it with any problems. Don't know if that's good or bad.
Avatar n tn any comment on my problem
Avatar f tn I am looking for a good adrenal supplement. I don't want to take anything with bovine adrenal. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn While the rhythm method can work better than nothing, it's pretty complicated and takes a lot of work. Even with someone who has extremely regular periods, you still need to do a lot of temperature checking to figure out when she's ovulating. Having sex when she's on her period will NOT prevent pregnancy, and condoms are still a good idea to prevent STIs. TL/DR: Just use condoms.
Avatar m tn Hello everyone! I'm happy to be on the forum and hoping my first post will be a good one. First the problem, then a little about me, to reflect. Issue: I haven't gotten a "good night's rest" in years. I can fall asleep easily and quickly. However, I wake up every night, multiple times. At night I wake up less (than average), I still don't wake up feeling refreshed. I also don't stretch when I wake up.
Avatar f tn Use lots of lube !
Avatar f tn I'm 55 an have in the last few months have had skipping heart beats. That have landed me in the Er . It was found out I have an extra beat . I had a stress test that said my heart looks good . But I'm now unable to do much , as soon as I get out of bed my heart starts to pound . if I stay up to long it starts to skip . My Dr put on halter monator . That showed the extra beat. I wake in the night with the feeling of falling when it skips a beat .
Avatar f tn This is a good Echo. An EF of 55 or over is considered good. You have some slight irregularities but no disease. I'm no doctor so take this with a grain of salt but I work for a cardiologist and have looked at a ton of Echo reports and wish I had an EF as good as yours. A 50% stenosis at 62 isn't terrible according to my doc, we all get it with age, but really if you have questions or concerns with your results, ask your doc.
Avatar m tn I have been taking aspirin for 40 years. My dad told me it was good for my health. The doctor said this may go away, but if it does not, when I hit 75 years of age I will have to be put on another blood thinner. The other doctor wanted to give me an electrical cardioversion. I read about this cardioversion and it was not all that good. Its success rate is less than 50%. What do I do? When I check my pulse, I do feel that it is off sometimes. But that’s no big deal.
Avatar m tn If you suspect that you suffer from another arrhythmia, you should try to get it diagnosed and treated. It is often a good idea to visit the emergency room right when you have the problem, and get an EKG done. That way, you know what is bothering you and your doctor can consider treatment.
Avatar n tn ve had investigations done at Kings College Hospital in London, England and they found I had a idioventricular rhythm and I intermittently went into ajunctional rhythm with left bundle-branch block conduction pattern. I also had/have an ejection fraction at 49%. I haven't done much more about trying to solve the problem since I moved countries but I have found now when I perform short intense exercise (such as a really short sprint) I have considerable chest pain and shortness of breath.
Avatar n tn The doctor who prescribed it said If I started on it I would have to keep taking it to prevent the irregular heartbeat. It has worked pretty good so far. The episode of a fast heartbeat startled me because it had never happened before. Someone told me it could have been an anxiety attack, but I wouldn't think it would last 3 hours.
Avatar f tn I wonder why my doctors keep telling me not to take magnesium supplements. They've tested the level of magnesium in my blood and found it to be normal. I've read that taking too much magnesium can be dangerous. But I've heard so much good stuff about taking mag supplements. This is all so confusing!
Avatar n tn We can have such long periods feeling really good that anytime the skips start up again it is like starting over. The same rush of emotions and fear come right back. It is amazing and quite a downer, to have to in a sense "start over' just to get the reassurance we need for everything to settle down. (until the next time lol) Don't worry too much. If it is couplets, I'm told it still isn't life threatening if you have a normal heart.
Avatar m tn m not saying I think you should be on a hard anticoagulant, like coumadin, but an aspirin a day might be a good idea to lower the risk of blood clot formation due to the driver of your irregularity...sounds suspiciously like atrial fibrillation, an aliment that comes and goes in many people. I have it full-time, or permanent, myself.
Avatar m tn It sounds like you could be experiencing some sort of supraventricular tachycardia or SVT event. It's just a guess, but I use to experience the same phenomenon if I landed flat footed or did something that suddenly jarred my body to its core. The key to finding out what it is would be to capture it on an EKG. But once every three months is going to be hard to catch even with a long term monitor.
Avatar f tn I went to the EP and he said I was going in and out junctional rhythm. He wants to wait 2-3 more months before doing another surgery. My heart may need more time to heal . Did anyone have junctional rhythm disappear a month or two after ablation. ??? Ablation did correct the SVT's I was having..
Avatar m tn I believe most afibs reoccur in the first year if they are likely to, so MAYBE your consultant will be satisfied after that time and take you off the medication. If your sinus rhythm is stable and has been for that year, and your atriums are in good shape, I personally don't see why you would need to continue it but you can discuss this with your consultant.
Avatar f tn I've been told I have PVCs and am two years post-menopause. Could these palpitations be related to menopause? I've had echocardiograms, ekgs, stress tests, blood work and all come back good. I'm 55. My gyn told me I should have no more symptoms due to menopause...is she correct? I would feel better if i knew the PVCs were menopause related, at least there would be a reason for them then. Thx.
Avatar m tn The term "Triplets" usually refers to 3 consecutive Premature Vebtricular Contractions or PVC's. In rare occasions they may report weakness, dizziness, or fainting. This is because frequent premature ventricular contractions can diminish the ability of the heart to pump blood to the other organs, resulting in low blood pressure. Patients with three or more consecutive premature ventricular contractions in a row have ventricular tachycardia.
Avatar f tn On Friday the 7th I had a heart cath. I felt strange in a few minutes, in chest..and felt I was falling. I was awake for the procedure, however, I opened my eyes, and a nurse was on each side of me, feeling for pulses in each side of my neck. The one on the left, asked, "Are you OK?" I said, "Why?" They had to shock my heart back into rhythm. Is this normal? I asked why my chest was burning, they said they I blacked out, and they had to shock my heart back into rhythm.
