I'm a ftm and I'm still really early at 8w2d. Last Friday I had my first appointment and had a lot of blood work done which is normal but I'm getting the tests back with not a lot of explanation. Its making me a little nervous. The thing that worries me the most is that the glucose test came out about 5 points high and I have to go in for the 3 hour glucose test. Has anyone had this happen and ended up not having anything wrong? I'm fearing the worst and hoping for the best.

My doctor gave me the paper work at my last appointment when I was 24 weeks to get it done. I'm now 26 weeks. She said go before my next appointment which is on Oct 10th so they have the results. I also have to get blood work done while I'm there I guess to confirm I'm rh negative because I will be getting the shot on Oct 10th. Will tomorrow be to early to go take the glucose test & blood work done or should I wait another week.

also found articles about oral glucose tolerance test they say not to eat low carb before the test because can make test result higher. not sure how it works some say insulin resistance get worse if you eat low carb other say insulin response get worse. seem like nobody know exactly.

I would think if it was just a cpl minutes then it would be pretty accurate but if they tested like 10 minutes early or something it could give you wrong results. I failed my 1 hr but passed the 2 hr test (they give an option of a 2 or 3 hr glucose test where I live).

Hello, I am 39 Female. For the past 2 years I have been randomly woken up by sharp pains in my lower abdomen. It causes me to faint and the time I am passed out is getting more frequent & longer (my husband tells me how long I stayed out) I have depression, anxiety (within last year), heart palpations, restless legs, nearsighted decreased drastic in last 12 months, tired, insomia, moody, irratiable, hair loss, gerd (within last year), secondary PTSD (husbands war trauma).

m going to give birth, so therefore I can look at my own test results. Well I had my Glucose challenge this morning and the test came as 138mg/dl (without having nothing to eat prior to the test). I called my doctor right away, but I left him a message.... From doing some research online, I see my number is too high!!! What do you guys think??? Please help, I don't want to have GD!!
