Do you take any supplements such at Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM? They work great for me. As long as I take them every single day. My bones/joints would get so back I could barely walk, and I could tell if it was going to rain anytime soon because they would hurt even more! The Glucosamine really helped! Glucosamine and chondroitin are very good for joint health...even better if you can find a combination with MSM in it. I have never heard any negative things about it or interactions with any meds. Always check with your local pharmacist if concerned about any interactions with supplements, herbs and meds.

Use the combination Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin. You can usually find it sold combined in that way. I use it for arthritis of knees and it helps. Glucosamine by itself didn't do anything for me.

I haven't tried it, but found chondroitin and glucosamine and/or MSM to be very helpful if you're looking at non-prescription remedies. You won't see an immediate difference and I understand these products are more for prevention than curative. If your dog has severe arthritis, you really need to get a prescription anti-inflammatory like rimadyl or deramaxx. I had two dogs who took those medications for years with absolutely no trouble.
