glimepiride solosa 2mg

the drug glimepiride, is not making my blood sugar level lower; instead is higher 250! I am taking 2mg twice a day. My doctor says all is OK.

Is solosa 2mg combined with glucophage plain 500mg enough dosage for an adult having a 400+count of sugar?

My new doctor changed my prescriptions from regular Met to Met XR and added 2mg of Glimepiride. My BG's have been above 300 for last few months and nothing seems to get them down. Doc thinks this change should do it. I've only taken it twice now but since taking it I've been dizzy. Quite enough I need to lay down. I know it says this may be a side affect but does it go away? It brought my BG's down as I said from over 300 3 hrs after eating to 180 just now.

He takes 2 tablets Glycomet Trio 1 (Metformin HCL Sustained Release, Glimepiride & Voglibose Tablets) - 1 before taking lunch and before taking dinner.

After this happened a couple of times I quit taking the Metformin. About a year later I was then diagnosed with T2 and am now on Glimepiride and have since began having these episodes again. They begin in the jaw area primarily the glands just below my jaws, with a sting/tingling that intensifies and radiates out all around my ears, neck throat and surface of my chest, and my upper torso goes ice cold. This takes place any where from a 30 second to a 3 minute cycle.

The main concern I would have about the addition to Lantus 20 units daily would be the risk of low blood sugar, especially in combination with glimepiride. Both Lantus and glimepiride can cause low blood sugar or hypoglycemia. Just make sure you're watching for the signs of low blood sugar, which are, sudden headache, feeling shaky, and weakness. There are many more signs of hypoglycemia and I encourage you to research it more yourself.

Please do not put off calling your doc today. I looked up Amaryl (glimepiride) and it is used by type 2 diabetics to lower glucose levels. There's a discussion going on in this forum about type 2, after long periods of time (how long is unk), reversing into type 1 diabetics. In your case it seems you are combating low glucose levels and may have a flipped 180º. Let us know what your docs says. You will help a lot of readers by posting your history if you did turn into a type 1.

I'm on 2mg of Ativan a night for sleep, I think I'm starting to see a pattern that if I miss a dose 1 night my body starts to have flu like symptoms, skin feels like it's burning, body is shaking anxiety is off the charts. Am I sick or going through withdrawal? From 1 night??

How are you doing with monitoring your diet? Do you get regular exercise and drink plenty of water? Sometimes the medications that are helpful and keep things under control for a while, stop working or just need adjusted.

Clonidine, Glimepiride, Byetta, Metformin, Amlodipine, Crestor, and Losartan HCT. Is it possible that it could be these meds? Please help!! I'm working by tail off and still have a GUT. Thank you in advance.

I currently take glimepiride 4mg twice daily and actos 15mg once daily. What is the sucess of these two meds. I continue to have high blood sugar levels.

Hey Scrappy - has your doctor suggested adding GLIMEPIRIDE to your Metformin? I am type 2, have been for 10 years - also only have 1/2 a Pancreas, as I had to have the other half removed due to a tumor in the head of my Pancreas - 8 hour surgery, and 8 days in the hospital, which is where the Insulin shots started. Initially, I came home from the hospital on both types of Insulin.

He has put me on Carvedilol 25mg 2x a day, Nifedipine (Procardia XL) 60mg 1x day, Glimepiride 4mg 1x day, and continued me on Phenytoin EX 300mg @ night (had 3 seizures in 20yrs -age 24, 34, & 46)& Ecotrin 325mg 1 @ night. Have major problems with diaherra, and diverticular disease. I used the taper off method and working with my doctor .........just finished last dose of Cipralex 20 mg on August 22 and am now off Clonazapam 2mg. t give you specifics as to a particular schedule as it not permitted here. 2mg/day is considered to be roughly the 1/2 point. It gets a bit harder from 2mg down. I jumped from .25mg/day. Try to get the 2mg strips. They are much easier to cut up when you get to the low doses. Can you jump from 2mg and be successful? Yes! I think Motye51 jumped from something like 24mg/day. I had moderate WDs for about a week and then the 'no energy' syndrome for a month.

I went to an endocrinologist who put me on Vicotza and glimepiride. M numbers have dropped drastically. I am never over 150 now. Have been on it for maybe a month. So insulin is an option but there are other medications that help too. Problem with insulin is it cause weight gain which can perpetuate the over -weight high blood sugar issues! Vicotza can work as a weight loss aide as well. Call an endo soon!!

I take 2mg at bed...I want to stop it because i see no benifit with my neck pain....I called my pharmisist and he said i could just stop because it was such a low dose. any thoughts?

Thanks for the advise,I normally take 5mg in the morning and 5mg at night,so I was thinking of changing to the 2mg tablets and doing 2mg in the morning and 2mg at night,then taper to 1mg each time.
