Avatar f tn I was on the pill for 11 years and came off of it about 6 months ago. It took me a few months to get intuned with my body and I relyed on this site heaverly for some wonderful informaiton. I used the ovulation tracker on here. Then I payed attention to my CM. I followed up by using ovulation prodictor kit from the dollor store and made sure when I got a positive that we bd every other day.
Avatar f tn I had advert sex "a quick 3 minute fumble during the break," bathed before bed an hour later, whilst on the pill and STILL fell pregnant. Dont think there is any set way, these things either happen or they dont!
Avatar f tn But not good enough apparently because i just could not BEAR the pain of a migraine - and the frequency I was getting them. Over the past years, I've had MRI;s, CT Scans, and been on TONS of different meds to see what would work - and then 4 years ago, I was prescribed Tramadol...and it WORKED! I would take 800mg of Motrin first, then the Tramadol if the headache began to develop into a migraine. Before I knew it, I was exceeding the maximum dosage and taking more than 8-10 tabs per day!!!
Avatar f tn I agree with Nellyzz, get a free app. I was using the mydays app to track my periods after getting off the pill in anticipation of trying for a baby. The app also estimates when you are ovulating. I made sure we had sex around then and we got pregnant right away. Best of luck!
Avatar n tn Getting pregnant right away IS getting pregnant june or july. That's only 2 months away. I also agree w/ above post about the fact that it may take couple of months just to regulate your cycle to concieve becaue you just got off BCP. BUT you can also fall pregnant quickly, in some cases. I hear of some women who conceive right after coming off BCP. So I guess it all varys. Also, start taking a prenantal vitamin and folic acid.
664341 tn?1282119550 He is not a neurologist, but after looking at the results of all of my tests (esp. the comparison b/t the two MRI's) and reviewing my history, he said that he had not a doubt in his mind that I have MS. He put me on several medications to treat symptoms, and told me that I needed to apply for medicaid and disability, and then get in to see an MS specialist as soon as possible. This was on Tuesday. Needless to say, I'm having a very rough week.
337111 tn?1266950223 I have read that the chances of conceiving within the first 3 months after a HSG are increased by 30%! Last time I had one I was pregnant by the 3rd month so I feel there is some truth to this, good luck to you!!!

Avatar n tn Then after a year of no period, I got on the pill to regulate myself and had regular periods on the pill for 7 years. I then went off the pill (Nov8, 2006) b/c my husband and I want to get pregnant. After 3 months of no period, my doctor gave me 5 days of provera. After 1 week I have no period which I expected. I know I am not pregnant. I have an appnt to see my doctor next week.
Avatar n tn I developed the numb and wrinkled finger tips after being sick with a fever after reacting to a pneumonia injection. I also have joint paint in my finger. I went to a hand specialist and was tested for carpal tunnel. Tests came back posititive showing nerve restriction in all finger tips. Doctor said it was carpal tunnel. Surgery is scheduled in four weeks. For the last couple of weeks I have also had joint pain in my toes.
280418 tn?1306329510 I was on the pill for ten years, and everytime I tried getting off, I'd get horrible cystic acne and I ended up getting back on the pill because I just couldn't take the cystic acne. It was painful and made me feel so ugly. Well I did alot of research and found that brewers yeast is a natural cure because of the chromium. I was willing to try anything. PLEASE research brewers yeast online. I started taking BY tabs about a month before my most recent attempt to stop taking BCP.
Avatar f tn I'm wondering how long it took you guys to get pregnant after being on the pill. I've heard 6 months plus but my aunt got pregnant right away. Also, any tips or advice? Thanks so much!!
Avatar n tn I have taken a home pregnancy test and it came back negative. Now, I'm going to the doctor. What's the odds of being pregnant after so long? In the back of my mind I'm hoping I am, but I know in my heart there's no way. I am going to the bathroom more often, eating a little more than usual and getting a sick feeling from time to time. But I also know that these symptoms can come along with wishful thinking. Any info would be great!
Avatar n tn I stopped getting the depo shot three weeks ago after being on it for 13 years. After reading all of the horror stories, I am extremely apprehensive about what is/will happen to my body. I was fortunate to not have the weight gain while on it, but did suffer with bouts of depression and severe anxiety issues over the last 10 years. I assumed that there was something wrong with me, but after reading up on the side effects, I'm wondering how much the depo had to do with these issues.
Avatar n tn My reason for wanting to quit then being pregnant. I had a complications and wasn't able to carry the baby and didn't quit. It wasn't until recently that my daughter opened my eyes to reality. She said "mommy... you sleep all the time, you don't ever play with me anymore" that made me finally decide to quit.
Avatar f tn Anyone out there take ultram/tramadol? This drug has turned me into a tramadol prisoner. I am having a hard time stopping and I know I need to . I have taken this for a long time. First, I was prescribed this med and then I found other ways to get it. Knowbody knows I take it as much as I do. Anyone....have some advice?
936133 tn?1244832491 Regular exercise helps reduce headaches. Exercise stimulates the release of endorphins in the brain. These are chemicals that actually suppress pain. I encourage people to aim for at least 20 minutes of aerobic exercise (like walking or swimming) five days a week if not daily. In addition to helping reduce headaches, this also will prolong your life because of the beneficial effects on your heart. 3. Stress reduction is a definite benefit in reducing headache frequency and severity.
Avatar n tn some women don't b/c they don't ovulate until after their first period. For the women that do ovulate...they have a higher chance of getting pregnant b/c of your hormones and your body is more accepting of getting pregnant again. I'm bleeding a little bit more this morning...I hope it stops and I got lucky and it is implantation bleeding. Or I could be an unlucky one who didn't ovulate!
511488 tn?1214624096 I never ever abused these--they never made me high and I only took them when I flew on a plane or before I started taking the Norco's. After I started the regular dose of Norco's my anxiety went away. (duh--imagine that!--that should have been my first clue something was up!). Anyway, I use to take Xanax just for anxiety. After reading here about having trouble sleeping while detoxing, I took a half to a whole .25mg at night so I could rest. And I haven't taken any more than one .
Avatar m tn Is it true that while on the pill your period is a withdrawal period and no egg is actually released? 2. Was starting the new pack the next day sufficient to act as a contraceptive? (i did not buy plan b) 3. When should I take a pregnancy test - just in case!
Avatar n tn When you take the typical hard-shelled vitamins, the metabolic action required to break down the pill destroys most of the minerals/vitamins it contains. Believe it or not, the hot ticket seems to be Flintstone chewables! I haven't checked any of this out, but it is thought provoking in a paranoid sort of way.
1216742 tn?1334155711 I had my 6 months of medically induced menopause after my surgery and am just to take the pill every day now until I want to have kids. I was given the option to have another laparoscopy to see where I'm at 1 year after my surgery. But I've heard that more surgery won't really help, and it makes sense. I've also heard more surgery might actually encourage more growth etc.
Avatar n tn I had my period on January 30 and stopped on the 4 of February and then i had sex on Sunday the 6 and i took the morning after pill....after having sex yesterday the 13 of february i started bleeding could this be because im pregnanto or because of the morning after pill???i am so worried can any one help?
Avatar n tn I started back the pill again after my seven day break but i missed my 4th pill took the 5th really late took the 6th on time and i stopped on the 7th which was the 6th of sep. They say i should have completed the back, so my body wouldnt get confused and i wouldnt have a withdrawal bleeding, boy if i knew that before!!
Avatar f tn Some women can get pregnant right after getting off of the pill and for some women it just takes longer. I think that your bleeding could have been your period (was it like your normal period?
Avatar n tn I know I'm probably not lucky enough to be pregnant this soon, so I figure it's the side effects of getting off the pill. After reading some of the postings I realized that I have put on a couple of pounds (nothing dramatic though) and I also have noticed an increase in my sex drive...I don't mind this side effect!!!
Avatar n tn I want to the doctor today, he took my HCG and told me as long as it comes back on Monday at zero, then he said we are good to try again and that some people can get pregnant two to three weeks after a D&C. I am concerned about getting pregnant again, I don't know if I could handle a third miscarriage. But then again I remind myself that it will happen, when it's meant to be. Does anyone have any suggestion on what my husband and I can do to get pregnant?
387183 tn?1200276900 I was told that I could ovulate right after the DNC, but to wait a couple of months, before getting pregnant again, so the lining in the uterus is thick again, and able to sustain a pregnancy. I've accepted that I would never get over it (for now, I guess), but that I would just have to learn to live with it. I've started going back to the gym a little over 2 weeks ago and I'm feeling much better....less anxiety...less depression.... I can't imagine your situation....for eight months....
230262 tn?1316649534 Having to slog outside whenever I wanted to have a nico shot just wasn't worth it. I'm trying the same method getting off the pills--well, at least as far as tapering goes. The caviat here is when I started the addiction to the pain pills, it seemed like all my good judgements went outta the window, and I picked the butts up again back in '05. I guess like all addictions, you are never safe from going back to it, but I'm only going to try to tackle one addiction at a time...
