I was on the pill for 11 years and came off of it about 6 months ago. It took me a few months to get intuned with my body and I relyed on this site heaverly for some wonderful informaiton. I used the ovulation tracker on here. Then I payed attention to my CM. I followed up by using ovulation prodictor kit from the dollor store and made sure when I got a positive that we bd every other day.

How soon after getting off the pill can you get pregnant or how long after getting off of it does your cycle return to normal?

When I got to where I was staying I ran out of the pill the first day I was there. Over the two weeks being there without being on the pill we had unprotected sex 4 or 5 times. How soon can you get pregnant after not taking the pill? I was supposed to have my period last week, it never came. I took a test on Saturday, but it was negative. Does it take awhile for my period to get back on track after not taking the pill? I haven't taken BC since I ran out.

Any one have an tips to help me get pregnant? I have stopped the pill on the last tablet. This is my first cycle. I have started monitoring my cycle by an iPhone app, I realize it may take a while for me to cycle normally again. So if you have anything to help me along I would love for you to share it.

I have a friend who is on Merina and is getting it removed the 24th I think so her and her husband can start trying for number 2. Are there any tips or tricks you have that helped you concieve besides "not trying"? Also if any of you have been on Merina about how long it took you to concieve?

Iv heard that once your off the pill your more fertile but idk how true it is. You can only get pregnant around the time you ovulate which is normally 12-14 days after the first day of your period. If you have irregular periods its a little harder to track. Some women don't get on a regular cycle til they've been off the pill for 2-3 months. Really the best advice is to have sex regularly unless you want to track it then wait til you know your cycle.

I just thought I would post the following information. It may or may not be usefull but it can't hurt. I am originally from Denmark and my mother called me a few months ago telling me about a book called: Eat yourself pregnant, which is about lowering the insulin in your body as this is a direct cause of infertility for some women. I am following this diet and if it doesn't help me get pregnant than all it can do is make me a little more healthy.

first count 14 days from the first day of your period that is your peek ovulation time and also have sex in a position that him penis goes in the furthers into your vagina because then the sperm has to travel less. also if you can prop yourself up at the hips after having sex to help the sperm a bit. also if you can help it don't go to the bathroom right after having sex. (as long as you know you wont get an infecting which some women do). other then that have fun.

The same as they would be any other time. I'm assuming (based on your previous posts and such) that you're trying to get yourself pregnant. IF NOT you need to start using proper protection. Based on other previous posts, I would advise you to NOT get pregnant if you are, because you aren't in a proper situation to care for another child.

my boyfriend and i have discussed conceiving, so i went off my pill for the past month and just got my period. the thing is, we're in the middle of a long distance relationship atm and we won't be able to try to conceive until approx this time next month. should i go back on to my pill to attempt to push my period back a little? please help!!

i know there have been alot of questions about getting pregnant after the depo shot but id figured id ask mine anyway. i started taking the shot in oct.07 and didnt go back for my shot this month (july 08) i havent gotten a period yet but i have been cramping like i should get it. my boyfiend and i want another baby so we were wondering how long its going to take. most things i read said it was going to take 6-18months we were really hoping not to wait that long.

I would buy the ovulation kits from the store and then have sex right before and during ovulation. I would also start taking prenatal vitamins. Good luck and Keep us posted!

Hi I was wondering if anyone on here has any tips on getting pregnant. My and my boyfriend have began trying and were wondering if there was anything that could boost our chances of conceiving? Positions? Foods? Timing? Vitamins or fertility boosting tablets? Also, my fertile window this month (according to my App) was from the 10th - 15th. We had sex on the 9th, 12th, 13th and 15th and basically every day after (we sometimes had sex more than once on these days).

I will be soon removing my mirena coil to go back on the pill since my mirena has caused me lots of unnecessary issues. Now my question is if it is true that if you have sex with nothing other than the pill in the first month if you really can get pregnant. I wasn't going to have sex for a week anyway because my partner and I don't like condoms, but a month is a long time.

I disgaree that OPKs are the most accurate way to determine ovulation. These tests detect your LH surge (lutein hormone). If you test in the morning and you don't get a surge until the evening you're going to miss that you even had the surge. I find more women confused and frustrated with them, plus they cost money. But you definitely do need to figure out when you ovulate. You can try the OPKs and see how you like them for yourself.

I honestly don't know when I ovulate. The first time I had unprotected sex the week after my period me & my partner decided to get the plan B pill. I took the first pill in the package 2 days after that incident. The instructions told me to wait 12 hours until taking the 2nd pill. The problem is in between that 12 hours of waiting, me and my partner had unprotected sex twice..I still took the 2nd pill when I was scheduled too but now I'm worried...

Hello there, I've heard from more than one source that the bc pill Yaz also sold as Yasmin, same stuff, is dangerous. If Yaz is causing you to be depressed, with panic attacks and anxiety, I would suggest getting of Yaz altogether, with the help of your family doctor. Wouldn't even finish the end of the package of Yaz. I've heard it can cause blood clots. Seeing as you had unprotected sex with your boyfriend, this would be a good time for a doctor's visit. And he ejaculated quite a bit more than normal. We went to the store and got a plan b pill! Could I still be pregnant? The intercourse occured on my "fertile day."
