Avatar f tn I stopped taking the nuvaring and I want to get pregnant how long after I stopped it will it take.... any body have any answers if so please tell me please.....
Avatar f tn is there a chance i'm pregnant even though I used it correctly? I also just had a baby in October and I know your chances of getting pregnant are higher right after delivering because your hormones are going crazy..
Avatar f tn I have been reading online about people using the nuvaring but still getting pregnant. Could I possibly be pregnant? I am not financially stable to support a child right now and I am in college too.
Avatar f tn It doesn't sound like pregnancy but rather your body getting used to the nuvaring. Irregular bleeding, menstrual irregularities as well as vomitting/sickness are all side effects of the nuvaring.
Avatar n tn I have been using the NuvaRing for almost 8 years. This year my husband and I desided to start trying to get pregnant. After being off of the Ring for a month, we desided to hold off a little longer due. I put in the new ring on Aug 3rd and we had unprotected sex on Aug 11th. I started feeling like I was ovulating later that night and accourding to my calender I would be right on track to ovulate. How soon should I take a test and is it possible to ovulate during the first month on birthcontrol?
Avatar f tn My sister got pregnant with nuvaring :/
Avatar n tn I put my nuva ring in on the day that i thought I was supposed to be getting my period. I had little brown spotting like I normally do when I am about to start, so I inserted the ring and the spotting stopped, I know there is no chance I should be pregnant. It has been three days and no period. So I just go with the three weeks then take it out and put back in a week later, or should I take it out immediately?
Avatar n tn I have been on Nuvaring for a year already. I took my ring out on the 14th and i had my period like normal, and put the ring back in on July 21 like I'm supposed to. I had completely stopped bleeding by then. The saturday before the 21st, so the 20th I had sex with my bf and we used a condom, but I didnt have my ring in. On Monday, the 22, I had random weird spotting which never happens..it wasn't a big deal and I didn't have any pain.
Avatar f tn I guess I should start at the beginning. I was on Nuvaring and was always regular (even when not on BC), I stopped Nuvaring Oct of 2015 due to having bad migraines, my gyn and I wanted to see if it was the cause. Still had them, so in February of 2016 I restarted it. I had a period the last week of Jan (was getting them every 2-3 weeks due to coming off of it). I had it again the week of Feb 2. I had protected sex Feb 5th and was still lightly bleeding then.
Avatar n tn Probably not what you're looking for, but getting pregnant doesn't necessary depend on what BC you used or for how long. For what it's worth, I was on BC pills for a long time and as soon as I got off (not intentionally, I messed up) I got pregnant within two months. So there was not reserve of birth control in my system. Good luck to you. Try using ovulation prediction kits (OPK) and having intercourse starting day 10 of your cycle through day 15 or 16.
4165941 tn?1353992228 What are your opinions/experiences on NuvaRing? I'm really skeptical because idk all the side effects but I know it would be best to get some form of birth control.
Avatar n tn Due to the fact that the lame pharmaceutical companies put talc or lactose in all the different bc pills I cannot have them.and he wants me to try nuvaring for treating my endometriosis. I am allergic to many things including latex. The nuvaring says it is latex free but the main ingredient ethylene vinyl acetate can be used to make latex: http://www.polysciences.com/Core/Display.aspx?
Avatar n tn It must not be in right. I used the NuvaRing before I got pregnant with this baby and I could never feel it, not even during sex. My bf never felt it either. Check with your doctor because that's not normal.
Avatar f tn There's always a chance of getting pregnant even if you're on birth control but it's highly unlikely. If you've been using your birth control correctly for 3 months you should be fine. Keep in mind it does take up to 1 to 2 months for your birth control to be in your system effectively, so during those first 2 months if you were careful you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
Avatar f tn about it recently and she told me she has been hearing about people getting pregnant while on it. So there is a very good chance you got pregnant while using it, took it out and then miscarried just like I did.
1639746 tn?1300562865 It's my second time using the nuvaring method. I was on the IUD method but my uterus rejected it two times; so the dr. suggested to take it out & use another method(on March 2nd). So i decided to go back on the nuvaring method; eventhough, I was having complications the 1st time I used this method. Thought i had just used it wrong the 1st time. On March 5, I started my period(light period) & decided to have intercourse with my partner(who i've been with for 2yrs).
Avatar f tn I misread my calendar and accidentally took out my ring 3 days before my "off week". What is the likelihood of me getting pregnant as I have been sexually active in the last 24 hours? Should I consider emergency contraceptives or just wait for my period to come as scheduled?? I have been on the ring for 7 months and have had no issues with it before.
Avatar f tn Last night and early this morning I noticed more red to itand was a little heavier than what it was but now its back to really light spotting with brown blood again. Idk if this is due to me coming off the nuvaring or if I might have gotten pregnant. I have very few slight signs but idk. I also feel like I wont be getting my regular flow at all this month. Any help, stories, and advise would be great. Im gonna see my doctor on the 18th anyways so fingers crossed.
Avatar f tn I don't have any links for you, but i stopped using my NuvaRing end of Jan 2010, its now July 2010 and not pregnant. Don't know if its NuvaRing related or if i would take longer/not be able to fall pregnant. Im waiting to go dr because i've read some stuff about delayed ovulation too. I think i'm just starting to ovulate again last couple of months so hopefully it happens soon.
Avatar f tn I told my aunt I was convinced I was pregnant and she told me that when she had come off of the Nuvaring, she experienced the exact same thing. She said it lasted about 3 weeks and then went away and to not get my hopes up. Sure enough 3 weeks after I stopped using it, my symptoms stopped.
7600327 tn?1393362485 Hi Ladies... I have been on the NuvaRing for a long time. While I had the NuvaRing in I started spotting & then the spotting turned into a regular period. I know your period isn't supposed to come on until you take the NuvaRing out, but I also know you can experience some bleeding while on birth control. Nevertheless I made a doctor's appointment & found out I was pregnant.
Avatar n tn Leave it in!! If not you chance getting pregnant. Your body will probably adjust to the nuvaring as you continue use and re-adjust your cycles so that you will get your periods during the week you take it out.
Avatar f tn I do not want to get pregnant, so is there a possibility of precum and maybe getting pregnant right away if I decide to stop using the nuvaring? Or will I be fine, I know I will have to start using condoms immediately after the 7 day break but should I be worried that all of this could cause me to become pregnant after stopping the ring? Can I go ahead and stop nuvaring, because I really want to feeling like myself again. Thank you.

Avatar f tn i know there have been alot of questions about getting pregnant after the depo shot but id figured id ask mine anyway. i started taking the shot in oct.07 and didnt go back for my shot this month (july 08) i havent gotten a period yet but i have been cramping like i should get it. my boyfiend and i want another baby so we were wondering how long its going to take. most things i read said it was going to take 6-18months we were really hoping not to wait that long.
Avatar f tn So, this has been going on for about 4-5 days now. I'm really hoping I'm not pregnant, because I got Nuvaring to avoid getting pregnant so I could get my career started in the Army. It's not looking so good if I really am pregnant. Ugh! Someboy please give me some good advise, because I'm honestly scared to death to take a pregnancy test. OH and by the way my breast hurt and I've had some weird cramping and some very bad heart burn. Maybe this is all due to stress. I really don't know.
Avatar f tn I took out my NuvaRing 3 days too early, what are my chances of getting pregnant and should I get emergency contraception or am I just wasting my money and instead should just wait for my period?
