Avatar n tn Is there chances of getting pregnant while drinking the placebo week and not being on your period? This is my first month on birth control, and I took all my active pills throughout the month, even during my menstrual cycle. Now I'm at the end of the pack on the placebos, but I'm not on my cycle. We decided to have unprotected sex, but I wanted to make sure what the possibilities cab be.

Avatar f tn When I was a teenager, my period was always on a Sunday. I've been on birth control for 18 years and it gradually changed days. I suggest take the pill asap, go get the morning after pill if you had sex within the last few days. Buy an early detection pregnancy test.
Avatar f tn your not being paranoid your missing pills and relying on birth control that is not 100% and plenty of women have gotten pregnant while on the pill. if you dont want to be pregnant you need to use condoms and you should understand how birth control works and understand that you dont take your birth control that your using as EC pill thats not what its for nor will it be effective and also if your taking a bunch of pills or whatever it is your doing.....
384896 tn?1335297931 I'm wondering what kind of restrictions on birth control come with breast feeding. I REALLY wanna get on birth control after I have this baby because I REALLY don't want another just yet! And I've already proven the fact with this pregnancy, that condoms don't always do what they're supposed to. lolol I plan to breast feed for the first year of my daughter's life, and then pump my breast milk after that and bottle feed it to her until she's just too old for it.
1527510 tn?1392304944 Since DF and I decided to wait another couple of years before trying again, I went back on birth control. I started the pill again last April. It was the same one I was on for about 4 years when I was younger (Microgynon), and although I didn't have any problems with it back then, when I started it this time around I had nothing but trouble with it. It gave me acne, and after a month or 2 I started to randomly spot on it.
Avatar f tn I use to get depo before i got pregnant and hated it gained soo much weight and i had a period for like 6 months everbody is different I hate birth control and I do not plan on getting on it ever again i rather bleed once a month but that's just me
Avatar n tn If you had a period, you are def. not pregnant. even if you had sex during that pregnant. but you do need to start your next month's pack of pills on time to be fully protected. sounds like you were in the clear from the missed pills, don't stop taking it!!!
639543 tn?1297031234 I had my son on July 14th, and now that I know how CHAOTIC being a mommy is (JUST KIDDING!) I want to get on birth control. Avatar m tn My period has always come on time and it has never been late before I was on birth control or during. Now my period is two weeks late. I took two pregnancy test a week after and both were negative, I'm really concerned I could be pregnant. Avatar f tn Please do think about getting on birth control until you get married. I would feel so bad for you if you got pregnant before you were ready and your boyfriend ended up leaving.
Avatar n tn I've suffered for years with horrible stomach issues, and have seen so many specialists who put me through horrific tests and then said it was IBS...all the while being on the birth control pill. My life has been so affected by this, I've even had a job loss due to being out sick too often (with constant diarrhea) I've also missed out on activities and life events due to the sheer pain and exhaustion of my symptoms.
Avatar m tn my girlfriend wants me to have sex with her unprotected while she is on her period and doesn't want me to pull out, she just started birthcontrol and has been on it for a month, how much of a chance if i don't pull out does she of getting pregnant?
Avatar f tn Most likely if you never miss your birth control pills and you always take them at about the exact same time everyday then you don't have to worry about getting pregnant. That is what birth control is for after all. So as long as you are committed to taking it properly you have very little to worry about. If you are still worried, tracking your cycle and using a "back up" method during your most fertile time will give you the added peace of mind that your require.
Avatar f tn I know semen can live inside you for a while (and therefore get pregnant even when your on your period) so how does it work if you have sex the day before you start the placebo? Or have sex on the placebo pills? Since your abruptly withdrawing the medication for that week, how does it differ from missing a pill? (If your on the 21 day pack + 7 placebos.) Also, what is the exact time frame that it starts getting iffy if you miss it?
Avatar f tn There haven't been any birth defects associated with taking oral contraceptive pills while pregnant, although it is not recommended, of course. IF you are at risk for pregnancy you should be taking a prenatal vitamin or other supplement with folic acid to prevent the risk of birth defects such as spina bifida. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Is it normal to feel and see a vein in both breasts without being pregnant? And while on birth control pills does the body still have symptoms of a period thats on the way before the placebo week and i m really confused about how the pill effects ovulation and all that. Also is the risk of pregnancy high with no ejaculation, only pre-***? Thanks in advance.
