If you are still not able to find a solution, try alternative medicine route, but it will take longer time and require strict control of food intake to get a complete, cure if it is an yeast infection.

So i am sure there isnt much mositure in the air... So are their any shampoos I can get to help clear this up for a cat like at petsmart??? Also he is on strict dry food diet because his tummy cant handle can food and he makes a very unpleasant mess.. So I am thinking of adding a tablespoon of olive oil to help to.. Maybe that will keep him from drying out during these winter months.. Okay let me know I will ck in later because I know replies here are not so fast..

I believe you're overthinking it. Greasy hair has nothing to do with patm. I can greasy hair as well if I don't shower in 2 or 3 days. And I used to have dandruff (if you call that film) like crazy way before I developed patm. To have greasy hair and dandruff is normal.

What are the humidity levels in your place? If your hands feel very dry, then your cat might be experiencing this as well. Check her for parasites, fleas, mites etc. Is she indoors or outdoors? Most over the counter products don't work but perhaps there is something out there that can help her, depending on what the cause for her dandruff is. I personally don't know of any good products to get rid of dandruff. Hopefully, somebody here can help you out on that.

Don't wash your hair more than needed, over washing can dry out your scalp. Try a coconut oil mask and concentrate it at your scalp/ roots then leave it in for 30 minutes or overnight. You can also buy masks from beauty stores as well.

Advice i have received for that is to crush up a prenatal vitamin and add it to your conditioner when you shower. The vitamins a healthy for your hair and scalp. Its a home remedy even when not pregnant.

And when the bottle says lather rinse repeat actually repeat. Lol. For dry scalp dandruff you canuse mayo on your hair coat scalp and hhair leave on for 15 min rinse off. Or 3tbsp olive oil one egg and I think it was a tbsp of vinegar and put that on your hair leave on for 15 and rinse. These are easy recipes you can find online.

She came in wet and I ot a towel to dry her, I noticed many white bits on her fur, got the wire brush and brushed her, it looks like dandruff do, cats get that ,its not flea eggs as when I looked through the magnifying glass you can se its like of flaky bits.. What can I do about it, are there dandruff shampoos .She's not been bathed as she hates water .Any ideas .

The tx itself may make your skin drier; up your water intake especially during tx and transfer to a natural shampoo with no harsh chemicals. Speak to your nurse about the problems you're having... she is old and beautiful and sweet but she seems to have a bit of dandruff. does anyone know what causes this and how to stop it?

I had it most of preg, it just started to get better aftee I turned 36 wks....

t seem to have made much of a dent in the dandruff. Like I said, the dandruff is minimal on some days and heavier on other days with seemingly no rhyme or reason. I've tried adding some olive oil to his food, and even rubbing some on him because I read it might help, but really when I massaged some olive oil into his skin it almost seemed to make the dandruff worse. What do you all think? I have read they sell dog balm and dog moisturizers, which I'd never even heard of before.

A late comment; but, I do bathe my cats. No more than twice a year. I have four cats two of which are black. One of the black cats will get dandruff very bad if I don't bathe him. I use a good, vet approved cat shampoo and conditioner. I rinse him very, very well. He shines for months after a good bath.

I have been suffering from dandruff for more than 10 years. I have tried Nizoral, coal tar, head and shoulder, selsum blue etc but nothing seems to help. Especially in 3 area in my head near the centre, I big circle of dandruff forming. They can be almost the size of dime. Its thicken , raised flaky transparent skin layer with dots. I have been noticing this for atleast 4 years now. I scratch and take it out but it rebuilds in just couple of day in the excact location.

What can I do to get rid of persistent dandruff? Medicated shampoos just make it worse. Also have itchy head sometimes.

I went through that phase. I had dandruff so bad it was nothing but scabs, but it eventually cleared up on its own.
