They prescribed me with an antibiotic (for gastroenteritis) and metoclopramide, as well as something for diarrhea (which I didn't have). I filled out the prescription for the metoclopramide, but I was kind of wary about the antibiotic, because they didn't tell me if they even found anything viral or bacterial, they just said that it "seems like gastroenteritis".
They did not find anything. Said it was gastroenteritis caused by a virus. Told me to start the BRAT diet. Four days later (6 days from the beginning), I called my pcp. Told her I was at the hospital and what they said. I told her I have no diarreah, or vomiti g. I do have a little nausea when I don't have an appetioe. I force myself to eat. She said she feels it could be gastritis or an ulcer. So it's been 4 days now taking pepcid complete.
r n they did blood work n a ultrasound which came back normal. I was think gallbladder stones idk.. So doctor diagnose me with gastroenteritis prescribe me pain killers. N next morning with the dull pain that comes n goes. Ouch! Is it normal???? Im scared im praying to god to please let it not be nothing else..
My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. I went up there and took her to the doctor and she was basically told is was a stomach virus (gastroenteritis) drink plenty of fluids and it should go away in a couple of days but when I look up Gastroenteritis it says that it's common in people with weaken immune system caused by HIV.
She took her 3 month birth control shot the morning before but I'm sure that didn't cause Gastroenteritis. My question is should I be concerned about HIV at this point.
Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?
