I did eat a caesar salad about twenty-four hours before the onset of the illness, so I guess it could conceivably be salmonella poisoning. Do you agree that gastroenteritis is more likely than ARS?

i was the diagnosed with salmonella at the end of january and given antibiotics. i gave another bowel sample last week and results today show i still have salmonella. i have been prescribed ciproflaxacino and sulfintestin now for 10 days.
r n they did blood work n a ultrasound which came back normal. I was think gallbladder stones idk.. So doctor diagnose me with gastroenteritis prescribe me pain killers. N next morning with the dull pain that comes n goes. Ouch! Is it normal???? Im scared im praying to god to please let it not be nothing else..

You need to listen to your daughter's doctor and seek some professional help for yourself to help you move on. It sounds like she has a stomach flu, which is in NO way related to HIV.
Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?

My girlfriend has experienced chronic stomach and digestive issues for the past year and a half. Her symptoms have evolved over time and they are really intermittent.
She started by getting diarrhea every few days and always had an upset stomach. She got blood and stool samples, I believe it was the blood sample that showed up salmonella (although it might have been the stool). They put her on antibiotics, and it didn’t go away.

It could be a case of gastroenteritis (gut infection) which has led to diarrhea and vomiting. The main symptoms of gastroenteritis are diarrhea and vomiting although one or the other symptom may predominate.
If the symptoms persist (>1 day), worsen or lead to other complications you should consult your doctor who could order some tests such as stool examination etc.
In the meanwhile take rest and drink lots of fluids to avoid dehydration.
around 2 months ago i started having cold/flu symptoms i tried to treat them herbally with umka cold care wich i found at wholefoods echinacea and emergen-c. they had no effect i then left for madrid,spain for about a week when i returned and went to the emergency room i was vomitingdown to bile and allthough i had been constipated for the whole trip in spain i suddenly started having water like bowel movements.
I ate them ALL two night ago and then I saw on the news that they are being recalled for salmonella! I checked the UPC code and of coarse it matches. What a payback for eating all those eggs.... I feel fine so I don't believe that I have salmonella but no more choc. eggs!!!
