Avatar n tn But can find no source for it in the Philippines. Not in Cebu, not in Manila. I have a pharmacy in Canada that can provide it, but it has to be shipped in ice and can take 5 days to arrive. Fed Ex won't take it. Neither will UPS. Have to use Canada Post which "promises" 4 days. But if it gets stalled in customs, it will lose its potency. Can't find in Hong Kong or Singapore either. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
Avatar m tn You should look at all the past threads in Tagalog and English, which I noticed are the two predominant languages in this forum. Many carriers in the Philippines are rejected for jobs both in the Philippines and especially the ones trying to go abroad to work in other countries. China also discriminates against its own population trying to get jobs. Some multinational companies who have set up shop (e.g. IBM) doesn't test for hbv. http://www.hc2d.co.uk/content.php?
Avatar f tn Would anyone know a dysautonomia specialist in the Philippines or in Asia? I've been confined twice and have had 6 doctors ordering tests for me (cardio, neuro, endo, gastro, pulmo and obgyne) but no one can give me any conclusive diagnosis as to why I've been feeling extremely weak and out of breath with episodes of elevated BP and tachycardia for the last 3 months.

Avatar n tn Hi there, Ondansetron is used for treating vomiting. Constipation, dizziness and headache are the most commonly reported side effects associated with its use. These symptoms will ware off once you have stopped using the medication. This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. I hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!
Avatar m tn Good morning! My sister Maruja was diagnosed to have a scar on the brain caused by an EGG of an SCHISTOSOMIASIS bacteria as per MRI result of the DIVINE WORD HOSPITAL in Tacloban City, Philippines. Maruja is 35 years old, and had a seizure for the first time two months ago. She is now in Hongkong working as a domestic helper to find a living for her family. She is taking anti- seizure medicine 3 times a day so that she could escape from seizure attack.
Avatar m tn Of course, you can. The Chinese government used to ban people with Hepatitis B working in the food industry. It has since been lifted, no scientific evidence and plain wrong.
Avatar f tn Hi It could be a case of gastroenteritis (gut infection) which has led to diarrhea and vomiting. The main symptoms of gastroenteritis are diarrhea and vomiting although one or the other symptom may predominate. If the symptoms persist (>1 day), worsen or lead to other complications you should consult your doctor who could order some tests such as stool examination etc. In the meanwhile take rest and drink lots of fluids to avoid dehydration.
Avatar f tn I do frequent the Philippines around 4 to 8 times per year. Chancroid was what i was diagnosed with by a doctor in the Phil and was treated with medication. The pain from the Chancroid blisters i am led to believe is more painful than the herpes blisters. I have an outbreak now and they have popped and they are extremely painful.Tomorrow i plan to have my blisters swabbed again.
Avatar m tn Had roughly 20 secs of unprotected sex with a sex worker in the philippines. I was drunk and stopped after I realized the severity of the situation. The next morning I was very scared and freaking out. I went to a nearby clinic and told the doctor that a condom broke during sex with a local sex worker. He mentioned a prophylaxis and antibiotics. I was worried about HIV and thought that this prophylaxis was for aids. He gave me a shot and a 10 day supply of doxicycline (antibiotic).
Avatar m tn You not answer my question, the test happens in philippines not in japan. It just so happen the person is bound to work in japan but got tested in philippines for pre-departure medical test.
Avatar n tn I have a couple questions about herpes. My husband has type 1 herpes and rarely gets an outbreak on his lip. I haven't got one yet, but is it possible that I won't contract the virus mouth to mouth if I stay away from kissing my husband while he has the outbreak, or can I still contract it? We've been together for 4 years now and I haven't got anything on my mouth like he does.
Avatar n tn Gastroenteritis can be produced from viral, bacterial and parasitic infections, contaminated food or water or change in bacteria that normally live in the intestinal tract.Chest pain that you are having is due to radiation of pain. Take adequate fluids throughout the day. The BRAT diet (ie, bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) or soft easily digestible semisolid diet can also be taken. You also need a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin or metronidazole. Hope it helps.
Avatar f tn The pain is specifically on my left side, below the ribs, between the last rib and the hip bone. Right there in the fleshy area of the lower abdomen and going downwards towards the hip. But its specifically on my side, not my back or tummy. Its been a week since symptoms started. Symptoms include a constant achy feeling in the area, sharp pains in the area when i lay down or move positions or laugh or cough. I went to the doc after 5 days. He said its just viral gastroenteritis.
Avatar n tn Hello, Diarrhea and vomitings can be provoked either by an intestinal infection or by illness somewhere else in the body. When they begin suddenly, the problem is usually gastroenteritis (or stomach flu), most often caused by a virus and sometimes by bacteria and parasites. Gastroenteritis is an irritation and infection of the digestive tract. It can often cause sudden and sometimes violent upsets and may be confused with spastic colitis.
Avatar n tn I recently bought some reagent strips to measure the blood in my urine and it showed trace amounts of hemolyzed blood. I am currently fighting a case of gastroenteritis, is there any connection and should I go back to the Dr?
