i have a lump (the size of a fat lima bean, maybe slightly bigger) under the left side of my tongue. prior to my dr.

I went up there and took her to the doctor and she was basically told is was a stomach virus (gastroenteritis) drink plenty of fluids and it should go away in a couple of days but when I look up Gastroenteritis it says that it's common in people with weaken immune system caused by HIV. She took her 3 month birth control shot the morning before but I'm sure that didn't cause Gastroenteritis. My question is should I be concerned about HIV at this point.

My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. When she was born she was perfectly healthy, but once I had to return to work I began to give her formula and that's when she began to have these complications. Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?

I live in NC and work at a hospital our maternity leave allows us 6 weeks paid time off however insurance doesnt start paying you until after the first week and I only receive 60% of my regular wages during my leave. You can technically take up to 12 weeks if you wish however the weeks after the first 6 will be unpaid. You can supplement your pay with paid time off hours if you have enough available.

Take adequate fluids throughout the day. The BRAT diet (ie, bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) or soft easily digestible semisolid diet can also be taken.You also need a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin or metronidazole. Well certain viral infections can cause hemolyzed blood in urine. Check again in a day or two. If this persists then go back to your doctor. UTI and stone are the commonest cause.
