Avatar n tn A viral infection may be very likely, given that this is associated with the diarrhea. This may also be a bacterial infection such as impetigo caused by Staphylococcus aureus or Strep pyogenes. Although at this point, impetigo may not be likely given that this usually affects children. Other differentials will be a dermatitis or an eczematous disease. I suggest that you discuss with your physician if a gram stain of the discharge may be done to help identify the organism which causes this.
Avatar n tn Aside from exposure to a cold environment, viral and bacterial infections such as bacterial gastroenteritis, infectious mononucleosis, pneumonia, strep throat and urinary tract infections such as pyelonephritis may be the underlying cause. If it persists, it is best that you have this evaluated further for proper diagnosis. You may benefit from a referral to an infectious disease specialist also. Take care and do keep us posted.

Avatar f tn Hello, Without examination it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis, but some of the possibilities for your symptoms are gastroenteritis and dehydration. Drink plenty of water as dehydration can lead to electrolyte imbalance which in turn can lead to low BP and hence dizziness. Hypoglycemia, anemia, infections, endocrine disorders like thyroid, adrenal glands, and pituitary gland disorders can also lead to dizziness and nausea. What about your last menstrual periods.
Avatar n tn In this condition, mesenteric (lymph)adenitis, the lymph nodes in a membrane that attaches her intestine to her abdominal wall have become inflamed. The inflammation is usually the result of an intestinal infection. The condition typically occurs mainly in children and teens and can often mimic the signs and symptoms of appendicitis. Unlike appendicitis, however, mesenteric adenitis is seldom serious and clears on its own in a few days or weeks.
