The do sell over the counter things like emetrol which is supposed to help with vomiting and also things like pepto bismal. I know that I keep tums close by when sick like this too. ve had chronic diarrhea, nausea, severe belching (no bloating though), nausea and vomiting off and on, low grade fevers, and my stomach makes horrible, loud watery gurgling noises all day. It all started with an "intestinal flu" that EVERYONE in my workplace contracted last March, (right after a co-worker's dog suffered an "intestinal infection" which cleared with metronidazole.).
In October of last year, I had a COMPLETE abdominal checkout. Upper and Lower Ultrasound..and then both a colonoscopy and endoscopy...and all were normal...so the chances of it being anything "major" are about non existant.
The last time I had this was about 2 months ago.
Now today I wake up feeling nauseaous again..some belching, and just feel...drained.
Ive read that people try Pepto bismol....? Anybody have this same problem?
I went up there and took her to the doctor and she was basically told is was a stomach virus (gastroenteritis) drink plenty of fluids and it should go away in a couple of days but when I look up Gastroenteritis it says that it's common in people with weaken immune system caused by HIV.
She took her 3 month birth control shot the morning before but I'm sure that didn't cause Gastroenteritis. My question is should I be concerned about HIV at this point.
My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. When she was born she was perfectly healthy, but once I had to return to work I began to give her formula and that's when she began to have these complications. Hello! I seem to have unfortunately caught gastroenteritis. I was given Ondansentron and it helped immensely. However, I can't sleep. I'm so wired and my stomach still hurts but luckily, no side effects. Is this normal? Is it the gastroenteritis or the drug?

ve been treated multiple times for h pylori bacteria with Tetracycline or Flagyl and Pepto Bismol tablets. I also take probiotics and I believe the first time I took the probiotics that it helped digestive problems. Try taking the Pepto Bismol tablets (four tablets every six hours) and see if it helps. When I feel like I'm having a flare up, I take the tablets for a couple of days, and it seems to help. Oddly enough, it's the Pepto that kills the h phlori not the antibiotics.
So, tums wasn't working well for me and my doc said it was OK for me to take pepto. Now, I'm reading from some others that its not OK. I took it once yesterday. Has anyone else taken pepto ? I'm 27w and 4d.
Ah, I only take it when I absoululy need to! But thank you ladies.! I had to take one today becuase I'm with my brother and father and they don't know also with my mom and cousin and they do know and we are out in Texas. 21 hours away from home.
Pepto is fine. I've heard pickle juice works too. You can also try zantac 150.

I went to the doc after 5 days. He said its just viral gastroenteritis. I looked up the condition and it says you have vomiting and/or diarrhea, but i have neither. I am worried it is appendicitis, but the appendix is on the right side, not left. I am really in pain but i am taking my meds as described. Does this sound like viral gastroenteritis to you?
I am in such severe pain just laying here typing this and barely moving.. Please help. Thank you.
