Avatar f tn I have acid reflux. My doc. Saying it anxy.i need some answer.can gas in your chest cause.
Avatar m tn ve had an endoscopy and a barium esophogram also all normal. It seems to me that all the symptoms are related to gas in the chest cavity. The symptoms now include "gurgling" feelings in multiple areas of the chest and back and what feel like especially strong heartbeats that I can feel easily, but the pulse rate remains normal. Burping sometimes helps but is difficult to induce.

That is cool, but i just don't understand how a pain in the chest under your nipple area can be from gas. But hey i'll confess im not a guienes. Its not as bad today at all, even had a good night sleep. I really would like to tell the difrence tho.
Avatar f tn It is difficult to determine what your symptoms may be caused by, but cardiac chest pain is not typically relieved with belching. Moreover, significant atherosclerotic heart disease in a 27 yo with no significant family history is rare. I would seek attention from your local physician to determine the need for further evaluation.
Avatar f tn so ive been having chest pains for a week now. I looked up all my symptoms online and concluded that it was probably just trapped gas. I have been belching and passing gas a lot. i notice that when i do so, it eases my chest pains some but never all the way. i ended up going to the dr because im also experienceing shortness of breath. he took a chest xray, and all my vitals and said everything looked good. so all he ended up doing was prescribing me ibuprofen to ease my chest pains.
Avatar n tn Are you sure your not just having trapped gas pain? When I am sick and have to lay in bed for days on end, I will get tapped gas between my shoulder blades and under my breasts. Try rocking in a rocking chair or taking "Gasx" a over the counter med that helps get the gas out. Trapped Gas is very painful. And it can move arround on you . Hope I helpped. After Having Pnemonia it takes days to stop the shortness of breath..It's scarry to not be able to take a deep breath!
Avatar n tn I am 18 an year old female and for the past week or two, I have been having chest pains in both the left and right sides of my chest. Along with the pain, there is a tightness and pressure within my chest and it is very uncomfortable. Yesterday, my heart began beating very fast and very hard. Avatar m tn I get a lot of trapped gas in the middle of chest under my breast bone. To relieve it I use my three major fingers from the index to the one before my pinky .I push down and keep pushing all the way down and out until I feel all the gas go away following down through into my stomach then I just gas it out.Note I have to keep doing this a few times to relieve it all. Is there a natural remedy with no chemicals that can relieve it other than say like Gas X ?

Avatar f tn t had coffee in days, and am trying to elevate my head and chest area to make sure no reflux hits me in the night again. Time will tell. So far I've heard far worse from a lot of people here.
Avatar m tn Two weeks later, I started experiencing mild aching in the upper chest/esophogus area--a mild form of my heart attack/angina symptoms. I switched back to Aciphex at that time, but remained on Lipitor. At the six month after surgery point, I underwent a stress radionuclide test and another heart catheterization (required by my job). Both tests showed no problems. However, the aching remains and is intensifying somewhat.
Avatar n tn Hello Doc, I get sometimes this feeling in my chest area that seems related with my heart but i don't know if it's a PVC or something else. The feeling is like gas or a that the muscle moved but i know that's not in the muscle. It seems that my heart beats fasten for like a second. I have a Holter last year and it turned out with 5 extra-systole, but in the day of the holter i didn't felt anything. I also did an EKG an Echo and a Stress Test and they all turn good.
Avatar f tn If it's a contraction, it hasn't stopped in at least 30 minutes, but I'm having a very sharp pain in my upper abdomen that won't stop. It's not gas and the baby isn't in my ribs, but the pain is right under my ribs. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn The gas that is generated in the stomach and the intestine, moves upward and presses against the wall of the chest. This leads to difficulty in breathing and tightening of chest wall, which eventually results in the pain in chest. If the symptoms of heart attack such as palpitations, rapid heart rate, sweating, pale skin are not experienced with a left chest pain, it is often an indication that the person is suffering from acidity or gas or heartburn.
Avatar m tn All these symptoms came to a climax one day, I was driving home from work and was feeling these symptoms then all of a sudden it was as if someone punched me in the chest five times fast. (I wish I was exaggerating) I only live twelve minutes from work. I instantly pulled over and called an ambulance. I thought I was having a heart attack, I have never felt anything like this before.

737752 tn?1238253672 Kevin, Build up of gas is not a pleasant feeling and puts pressure inside your chest. However, gas can build up from a variety of reasons one of which is stress itself. When we are anxious we tend to swallow air far more that we would normally do and this increases the gas inside us. Also, have you been eating differently, perhaps too fast because you've been feeling stressed, or perhaps foods that give you gas?
Avatar n tn I would get it checked out anyway , make you feel better .it could be Gerd /acid reflux can be very painful.was it towards the right ,under the ribcage and up into back , could be gall bladder attack.
Avatar f tn You note upper GI discomfort (burning in the chest area) radiating to the back, bloating, gas, as well as hyperthyroidism. The pain is brought on by eating. The GI symptoms are known as dyspepsia - simply defined as upper GI discomfort. Causes can include an ulcer, inflammation of the stomach and esophagus, GERD, or cancer. Other potential causes include gall bladder diseases or pancreatitis. You stated you are interested in non-invasive tests.
