Avatar n tn Hello Doc, I get sometimes this feeling in my chest area that seems related with my heart but i don't know if it's a PVC or something else. The feeling is like gas or a that the muscle moved but i know that's not in the muscle. It seems that my heart beats fasten for like a second. I have a Holter last year and it turned out with 5 extra-systole, but in the day of the holter i didn't felt anything. I also did an EKG an Echo and a Stress Test and they all turn good.

Avatar n tn I am a 25 yr old female, 110 Ibs 5'7". I have been experiencing some scary symptoms. My heart will start pounding all the sudden for no reason and then i have a hot flash with dizziness. My blood pressure feels low. Last night i woke up from sleep because the palpitations and weird feeling kept me up all night. I have suffered these symptoms for 3 yrs but they went away mostly for a while and then came back.
Avatar m tn From what you say it seem possible to me that the digestive/gas problems may be the root cause of your heart symptoms. It may be best to try to get the digestive problems under control first to see if that helps/cures the heart problems. It is good that your are under the care of a doctor.
Avatar n tn Eating regularly will help prevent gas. Skipping meals to avoid gas or output is not smart. Some people find it best to eat smaller amounts of food 4 to 5 times a day.” Refer: http://www.cancer.org/docroot/CRI/content/CRI_2_6x_Colostomy.asp Talk to a dietician and plan out his meals. Talk to his doctor regarding the pain. In all probability the gas and bloating is causing the pain. Take medication for acidity etc under supervision. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.
Avatar f tn I have went to the ER twice and both times they gave me meds to lower my BP but said the EKG was negative for a heart attack. Am I creating this in my mind, is it gas that Ive always had but not noticed? I am scared to death.... Anyone with any advice would be appreciated. I am a 34 yr old male. Thanks.
Avatar n tn There's anecdotal evidence that GI trouble can irritate the vagus nerve which in turn can affect heart rate or cause other types of benign arrhythmia. What you've described is a linear increase and linear decrease in rate. This points in the direction of plain 'ol Sinus Tachycardia, which isn't troubling on the surface. Your panic/anxiety is exacerbating this symptom.
Avatar f tn s nothing, than to wait and die of a heart attack! None of your symptoms point to gas, they all point to your heart, and at your age it very possible that it is relater to your heart.
Avatar m tn An alternative cardiologist listened to me describe my gas and burping and passing wind and said the gas was connected to the afib...that gas was pressing on the vagus nerve and causing the heart to misfire and beat too fast and out of rhythm. I took gas X and eventually the symptoms and the heart problems went away. This was six years ago. Now, the problem is back. I have had a cardioversion to get the heart back to sinus rhythm, but it didn't work.
Avatar n tn After(sometimes during) almost any meal my blood pressure will rise and my heart will start pounding and increase speed. I've been to GI, cardio, and neurology. Our best guess so far is roemheld syndrome. So far I've had hiatus hernia repair(laparoscopic nissan fundoplication) and my gallbladder removed. Im in the hospital now possibly having the hiatus hernia repair reversed and a vagotomy in a few days.

Hope that helps someone. I am going to book in for some tests first thing tomorrow.
Avatar m tn Diagnosed with MVP and had a stent in LAD for a 90-95% blockage in September. Some things that exacerbate the condition are gas or oil fumes or chemical fumes. Also if I move furniture. These symptoms were all present prior to the stent. Was on a beta blocker which helped some but my body didn't lime the beta blocker. BP got too low and other complications. On Isosorbide which helps also. Still have pain.
Avatar n tn Over the past couple months I've been experiencing some strange symptoms. They're not easy to talk about, but why not. I've been having a lot of flatulence, and the feeling of having to use the restroom throughout the day. There is no pain involved, but as I said a lot of gas, and using the restroom many times throughout the day. In addition, I no longer urinate standing up due to the flatulence. if I start to urinate, I will also start to pass gas.
Avatar f tn This leads to difficulty in breathing and tightening of chest wall, which eventually results in the pain in chest. If the symptoms of heart attack such as palpitations, rapid heart rate, sweating, pale skin are not experienced with a left chest pain, it is often an indication that the person is suffering from acidity or gas or heartburn. Left side chest pain, often generates the ripples of panic in the individual and his relatives.
Avatar m tn yesterday on my way to the hospital while I was driving i felt like I had a stroke or heart attack. sweating hot light headed fast heart. lasted about 3 min. when I got to the hospital I told them what happen. BP was 155/82. put me on ECG checked good. now since then I feel like crap, less urine and has become concentrated again even when I drink water. I have to drink LOTS of it to go and to make it clear. now I feel weak sore almost flu like but no fever.
268911 tn?1213744781 I posted this about a week ago. If you could share your withdrawal symptoms it would help me. I seem to be having bad lower abdominal cramps, gas, constipation and weight loss. Anyone else have the same problems?
Avatar f tn org/wiki/Roemheld_syndrome A typical feature of this is worsening upon rising, because the gas pushes upward more. Often, symptoms can be relieved by prolonged, repeated burping. If one has Roemheld syndrome, which, according to the article bel;ow, is fairly common, training oneself to breathe abdominally - where you push the diaphragm into the abdomen, i.e. away from the heart - rather then breathing predominantly into the chest, can also bring major relief. http://www.xn--dpmartinjunghfer-ywb.
Avatar n tn You mention some symptoms such as frequent urination and fluttery heart that might be sympathetic nervous system symptoms. Do you have any anxiety symptoms? Other symptoms such as tremor, sweating, flushing? Finally you talk about a gloomy mood - how long does that last, how and when does it begin, are there other mood symptoms?
Avatar n tn After endless reading for almost a year I still am having episodes of gas and bowel related heart palpitations. I did figure out that gas fighting products with simithicone such as gas x help very much when I go into a-fib. The palps always stop if I have a bowel movement also. I dont know what I ever did to deserve this but I just deal with it the best I can. Its very scary when it happens but I have to accept this and not panic as I did in the past.
