gas problems in infants

I feel Gerd and milk allergy are grossly overdiagnosed in infants. Lactose overload has been diagnosed in breast-fed infants now - and I believe it is also found in babies.

Already moms.. Does anybody know any gas remedies for infants other than moving their legs around. Has anyone tried gas drops ?. My 5week older has been screaming her head off, she's gassy .

I had this problem in my first trimester, I had really bad trapped gas it was so painful I would lay on my side just waiting for relief and it would take forever. I would try different positions to try and get some release but it only lasted my first trimester, by my second it went away thank god. Maybe talk to your doctor for any help, or look online for suggestions. I'm pretty sure there is stuff you can take to help relieve the gas.

I just had gas drops and baby Tylenol. Other than that if you need anything a doctor will recommend it. But, you shouldn't really need anything much more than that for the first couple months.

Honestly, in my opinion, babies are so wrapped up in this new world, all the new things going in for them, that a little cold (virus) hardly slows them down. it could be your baby is behind because she doesn't feel well all the time, and THAT is holding her back. Maybe not, but in either case I would push for them to figure it out. Chalking it all down to a virus is a lazy, sorry excuse. My point is, YOU DO know your child more than anyone.

I avoided spicy foods and food that causes gas. I took Gas-Ex from time to time when the gas pain was severe. I took Pepto Bismol when I had diarrhea and cramping. I also took over the counter acid reducers for heartburn. My recommendation is to ask for a referral right away to a gynecologist and find out what other tests should be completed to further evaluate and treat the cyst.

m home and feel the urge to poop, I kneel on my workdesk chair, I rest my elbows on the workdesk and while playing a computer game or surfing the net i fart out and then suck that gas in through the anus by contracting some *** muscles. I start getting hot and after a period of maybe 15 minutes when I start sweating I usually feel that the excrament has reached the anus and then I go poop.

I am suffering with Gas problems for 3-4 years. Excess gas forming and much odor (bad smell) and this make me upset. I consulted with many doctors and they have given me different medications during these period. There is no stomach pain and there is no indigestion problems. There is little bit problems for Piles, and motion is not normal.

Can these cause constipation in infants?? My baby girl hasn't pooped since last night and I had given those to her the night b4 and last night. Shes only a week and a half old. I know this is the pregnancy form but it helped me so much during my pregnancy so...

she cries everytime she sees anyone except me and her father.WE consulted the doctor, he said she doesnt have any helath problems, shes completely fine but he couldnt tell why she cried like that.i mean she cries horribly!..screaming and all that!!...when i was pregnant i went under loads of mental stress,family problems and other stress..is it due to that??..i had mental breakdowns too when i was pregnant.

thermometer, suction bulb (but they should give that to you in the hospital), nail clippers, gas drops. You shouldn't use infant tylenol unless a doctor recommends it and even then I think the earliest is like 3 months.

does anyone know what could cause circulation problems in feet and hands of an infant? i know this is not related to pregnacy but this is the only place that i can chat with others .my son just turned 1 on the 14 th and when i took him to see the doc for a well child visit she was concerned about how red his hands were and how purple looking his feet looked. she told me that if i didn't see any changes to make him an appt. so i didn't see a change and made him a appt. on mon.

I'm guessing gas.. Try some gas drops and do the Sun&Moon on his tummy to help pass gas if that's the problem. Has you recently switched from breast milk to formula or to plain milk?

My five month old daugther gets horrible, painful, gas everytime we try stage 1 baby food. I have tried rice cereal, peas, carrots, squash, sweet potatos, prunes and apple sauce. The only baby food she can tolerate is single grained oatmeal. I have bought all the brands and made my own. I will give her just 4 small spoonfuls once a day to test her and we are battling gas all day and night. We had a similar issue with her formula until I tried soy Similac.

It will remain in baby's system. Especially if you took them for more than 2 weeks. You need to let your OB know even if it leaves both systems because if you we're abusing them and taking them for a long period of time we can't diagnose the outcome. No judgement, but please for the sake of your innocent baby tell your Dr. You made the right decision to stop taking them. Best wishes!

t have kidney stones, but have had nine abdominal surgeries including a bowel obstruction, and an inttususception, a bowel twisting that usually happens in infants... Over the past months, I have had bad pain that lasts for hours after I had a bowel movement. I am not constipated, or have very loose stools.. I am sitting here in pain as we speak... I have no insurance, so I can't run to anyone for help!

I have had a history of digestive problems for years, mostly with loose stool, gas, acid re-flux and constant nausea. I was recently diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis, and I have changed my diet dramatically.
