Gas pain management

Common Questions and Answers about Gas pain management

gas

Avatar f tn After reading about pain management during labor I have decided to not have any medication unless it is absolutely necessary. However, I am still back and forth about an epidural. What is everyone's opinions or experiences with it? Trying to weigh the pros and cons.
Avatar f tn They use and epidural because the medicine doesn't go to the baby it's strictly locale and made to numb mom only. I had one with my first baby and didn't have pain afterwards besides the minor bruising from the injection site, that healed well with no complications later. It's up to the mom whether she wants pain management or not, I don't get what ur complaint is about? I personally choose to block the pain.
Avatar n tn Hi notsosuppernana364, First, I want to welcome you to the PM (Pain Management) Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. We are all CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other with our own expertise and experiences that we have developed through our own CP Issues. I'm sorry that you are suffering this type of pain in your legs!! I don't know the answer to this but it would seem possible for that type of pressure to cause discomfort in your thighs.
Avatar n tn A complete evaluation is essential for correct diagnosis and management of your condition. This abdominal discomfort could be due to reflux disease, increased acidity. Gas movement can result in fluttering sensation in the abdomen. A complete medical history, clinical examination and work up are important for confirming the cause. Seek the opinion of a healthcare professional. Do keep me posted. Best wishes and kind regards!

Avatar f tn Hello MimiL, Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. We are more directed at Chronic Pain and the issues that accompany it. There are so many things that can cause the symptoms that you describe. I could make several "guesses" but I encourage you to consult your PCP. As suggested above it could be GI related or an inflammation of the cartilage of your ribs. I hope you will find a solution to your pain. Please feel free to let us know how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Thank you @greeneyes .. I will definetly take that into consideration. :) by gas...you are meaning the **Gas..mask...in hospital?
Avatar f tn I'm 25 and I just had a baby. There wasn't any complications and I don't have hemorrhoids. I didn't have an epidural. Besides some history with cervical cysts my health is good. I don't exercise but I work on my feet almost 8 hours a day, constantly moving. I'm not overweight, well I am a little now, like I said I just had a baby and haven't lost all the extra weight yet. Pre-baby I weighed 115, I'm 5' 3".
Avatar f tn Since this I have a pain under my left rib cage. Everyone told me that I would have gas for a while. Its been almost two months and the pain is worse. I cant afford to return to the doc. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain or get rid of it.
Avatar f tn I have had abnormal bleeding for years, since high school. I bled for about four years straight every single day in high school. I would soak my gym shorts whenever I did strenuous excercises. Now, I have low back pain. If I do something that causes my back to really start aching, I will start having pre menstrual cramps then full on bleeding with severe gas pain & bloating. I would have to take over 24000 ibuprofen tablets (200mg) in one day to get through & to slow down the bleeding.
Avatar f tn I did spinal surgery (removal of tumors om the T-12 and L-1) four weeks ago, and my stomach had been bloated with pain after any meal ever since. The pain just goes with OTC meds and some gas, but my stomach remains bloated.
Avatar m tn The pain is there all the time and only passing gas seems to relieve it, but for some reason it seems like I cant pass enough gas to clear out the trapped air or gas thats remaining in my chest area arm and leg etc. I also feel as though I'm full all the time and have developed high blood pressure to. The doctors cant diagnose the problem and it's driving me crazy because the pain is there all the time. It feels like a lighter being put to my skin daily.

Avatar f tn Do everything Jerry said. He did give you great advice and I think if you do these things everything is going to be alright. Yes, they do put all prescriptions on one or two pages now. It's not like it used to be where you would get one for every single script. Your regular pharmacist was not the one who filled them. And why in the world do these DRs think any of us would ever sell our medications?!!!

Avatar f tn I have an infertility doctor who I know is wonderful with fertility drugs and IVF, but the pain management has been poor. Vicodin helps a lot, however, I cannot find anyone to prescribe it for me on a regular basis because it is addictive. I take a half of Vicodin 2 times a day. I dont think thats a problem, and it gives me a better quality life. What is Ponstel?
Avatar f tn Today the pain is bringing me to tears and I was just hoping that I could get some ideas on other options of pain management? I need some help and the doctors around here have been pretty stumped on what I should do. Any suggestions would help!
