i felt a kick or something high up by my ribs and at the same time I felt a sharp pain in my vagina really close to the outside, I've also been getting these gas like feelings in my lower abdomen anyone get these sharp pains?

Having some pain in my upper abdomen right under my ribs. How can you tell if it's gas pain or something serious? I'm burping a lot and have been slightly constipated for the past 2 days, sorry for the over share, so I'm thinking it's gas pain. I just don't want to write it off if it could be something to be concerned about.

For the last probably 2 weeks I have had this sharp but sometimes dull pain under my ribs on the back side. Mainly my left side but it is both at times. It is quite painful and I have had kidney stones before and it doesn't feel like it is that and I've had UTI's and Bladder infections and it doesn't feel like that either. Does anyone have any ideas on what this may be?

Sometimes they slip out of place. I have 5 ribs out cause of hypermobility and pneumonia from last year. It causes sharp pain in my ribs and a dull sometimes really painful pain in between my shoulders blades. Slipped rib syndrome is common during pregnancy. Especially if Ur already flexible.

just below ribs can be a liver pain if the pain is on and off.also can be gas if u fell bloated.it all depends of the type of pain and how long persits.try tu push just below u ribs on the liver side and relese fast the presure.after relese if u feel pain its the liver.

5 days before while walking a sharp pain started in my left side under ribs maybe in lungs. while inhaleing a sharp pain starts. pain only happen only in deep breathing . i feel like safocation sometime.

m pregnant with my first baby I have been having a pain just under my ribs right in the middle for about a week now and down near my appendix has a ultrasound to make sure it wasn't serious but they didn't check the top of my belly just under my ribs and I'm still having this pain I'm only 6 weeks anyone know what It could be ?

Are you sure its gas? I have had a stabbing pain in my ribs here and there and we're about the same time along. They were just short stabs though. Maybe try something to reduce gas/ bloat?

Does it hurt when you breath in? If so it could be inflammation in between the ribs like pleurasy. You would get checked by a doctor so they can listen for fluid in between the ribs. They can give you an antibiotic for it. A hot water bottle or heat pack will help. If it is sharp and goes away off and on maybe it is just gas. if this is the case try GasX and walk around and it will eventually go away. Let me know if the pain is different than this.

If it's a contraction, it hasn't stopped in at least 30 minutes, but I'm having a very sharp pain in my upper abdomen that won't stop. It's not gas and the baby isn't in my ribs, but the pain is right under my ribs. Any thoughts?

What just happend??? I am laying in bed and all of a sudden I got this pain on my right side felt like it was somthing going inbetween my ribs on the side!!!! And it kiterly took my breath away it felt like whatever was in my rob was in my throat pushing my breath back down so I couldent breath it!!!! What just happend???

Last night i woke up with very sharp pain right below my right ribs. It hurt to breathe. It was also on kind of in my back. It hurt pretty bad. It went away after a few minutes. I have a pain in my left side, below my ribs. It seems to be focused at different areas all the time. It will be around where my pelvic bone is, or it will be just below the ribs. No its not the baby, i know what that feels like, this was a sharp pain in my abdomen first that just shot all the way up to my ribs....and my baby is head up so he kicks me in the *** not the ribs....

You might try taking simethicone as the bottle directs and see if it helps, in case it is gas pockets getting caught (I had this problem upper right abdomen as a teen). The gall bladder is also on the right side.

I woke this morning and i have really bad pain under my left ribs and down my left side im almost 14 weeks pregnant and not sure what i can take for gas pain.

My boyfriend has had stomach pain and cramping in lower right side of his stomach for the past 3 days the pain moves around and lessens but it keeps coming back. we thought it was gas at first but weve tried gaviscon and other antiacids ad its not helping. any ideas?

It may be gas- it can be pretty bad but especially up in your rib cage. But definitely if it gets worse go get it checked out.

Also, as the uterus gets bigger everything is all moved around in there, so gas can reach up in your chest. And your ribs could possibly be moving to accommodate the uterus. That can cause a lot of soreness in your rib cage. Try some gas x to relieve it and if that doesn't work try wearing a looser bra or one without wiring to help with rib pain! If it gets really bad ask your doctor about it.

So my little man insists on putting tons of pressure on my left side/ribs. I try pushing him down but he wont budge lol. I heard that normally boys sit lower in the belly. But I guess not in this case. He causes me so much pain. I can't sit or lay down without being in pain. And on top of that the heart burn and acid reflux doesn't make any of this better. Any advice on what to do.. or do I just stick out the pain?

Hi. Recently I've been having pain in my ribs, on both sides. No pain in my back, really. They hurt to press on them, especially the lower ones, and especially their tips. I also have slight discomfort just below my sternum. Pressure there makes me uncomfortable. Sometimes it makes me lose my appetite, but other than that, no symptoms. No fever, no nausea, etc. When I lay down, I have to lay on my back. The rib pain makes laying on my side or chest very uncomfortable.
