I am not suggesting this person try this but my Vet and I were talking one day about gas in dogs. Kind of a funny story but one of the K-9 Officers with our local PD had a dog with a flatulance problem and you can imagine being in a car for hours with a dog with digestive issues. Officer finally brought the dog into the Vet. First suspect food and that was changed a couple of times with no improvement. Tested negative for allergies. Other tests done, all negative.

Last night i woke up with very sharp pain right below my right ribs. It hurt to breathe. It was also on kind of in my back. It hurt pretty bad. It went away after a few minutes. Then this evening i was crouching down to get the dogs dressed for Halloween and i started to get a cramp there again. Then a bit later i bent over to put on my daughters gloves and it started again. I was just bending over a bit. Anyone had this happen. I'm 11w5days.

Any sudden change of your dogs diet can cause gas as does feeding of too many table scraps. Smelly gas is normal in dogs but if its frequent then something is wrong in his/her diet. I recommend a high protein, low fiber diet. The cheaper brands of dog food are made with alot of filler and less protein, that could also cause excess gas. Back in august of last year my vet recommended the Costco brand dog food by kirklands, she stated it was a better quality than the nutro max I was feeding them. Both dogs are over weight and since the food change they have lost some weight. Their poop is normal and they drink plenty of water and the vet just did a physical. My older dog will go 2-3days without touching his food but I can hear his tummy grumble and the younger will eat half today and maybe the other half tomorrow.

Jess, I agree with LoveMaltese's advice. What has happened is, when you change a dog's diet AT ALL, even if it's just a diff kind of same brand food, you have to introduce it slowly, by, for example, mixing 1/4 of the new stuff mixed with the old stuff for a couple days, again for a couple more, until the change is complete. The lamb bones MIGHT make things clog up, and explains the yelp your dog gave out when you touched his tummy...

Over a week ago, Saturday May 12th morning, I awoke with some discomfort in my abdomen. I thought of it as cramps and I just needed to use the toilet. I tried, but I didn't/couldn't go. But I urinated just fine. About ten minutes pass, the pain got worse. "Has to be gas" I thought, "something I ate" but I couldn't even pass gas (though I could burp).

Because kidneys are sterile, Azodyl is not helpful for kidney issues despite the fact that it is continually being prescribed. You need to get him to his Vet ASAP.......Shaking is a sign of pain......Pain will lead to not wanting to eat.......Please, don't wait any longer......He needs to have treatment.......
