Avatar n tn The intense thirst and frequent urination ABSOLUTELY sound like juvenile diabetes, and the exhaustion is highly suspicious. I have never heard of scabs being a symptom. Have they checked her blood sugar level and done a urine test? Make sure they do!

Avatar f tn Fatigue and/or drowsiness is a classic symptom of Hyperglycemia (t2 diabetes). Others are Dry mouth, Thirst, Frequent Urination, Blurry vision, Weight loss, and Increased appetite. You need to see a doctor and get tested for diabetes: an OGTT (oral glucose tolerance test), a fasting glucose test, or an A1c test. If diabetes runs in the family your chance of getting it is higher than most.
Avatar m tn I cant hold urine for long experience frequent urination. It statrted when i was sick and given lots of drips, Test shoen i dont have diabetes and every thing is normal .
Avatar n tn It's a flag for diabetes. The term diabetes insipidus comes from the Greek word for "fountain". As thyroidian suggested it could also be prostate, but he is a bit young. He needs an hba1c test.
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar f tn I already know I have Herpes 2, but am not back in the US so I can get on medication. I have frequent nighttime urination which is caused by the Herpes 2 ( i had done a bacteria urine test and it was negative) . I just wondered, when I get on Valtrex will it take care of the frequent urination at night or do I need to get other medication for that? Anyone out there ever experience it. I think a lot of persons come here for support, not just because they are worried they might be infected.

Avatar n tn Go see a doctor and get tested. Frequent urination is one sign of type 2 diabetes. It also could be a sign of a disease you do not feel until more severe such as bladder or urinary tract infection, an enlarged prostrate if male, vaginitis if female, or possibly a tumor. Also comes to mind is from drinking excessive amounts of fluids.
Avatar f tn Is this your ONLY symptom? Frequent urination can be caused by anything from drinking a lot of water, to diabetes to uterine fibroids. If you are concerned, talk to your doctor.
Avatar m tn I suffer from frequent urination between 2am and 6 in the morning. This happens every half hour, lots of urine, no burning, no pain.I have had blood tests, cystoscopy and an IVP done, all came back negative. I don;t drink a lot since i never get thirsty, a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of water for my blood pressure tablets. I'm not swollen but 2yrs ago i had a back op for a pinched nerve, could this be the cause? Please help!
Avatar n tn I know that frequent urination is a sign of diabetes so I am concerned. Are there any other signs of diabetes I should look for? Any other possible explanations? I would love to put my mind at ease.
Avatar n tn So we cannot assume that you are. Numbness is NOT a symptom of diabetes, but is more a symptom of long-time poor control of diabetes for many years, which can eventually cause nerve damage. So the real question to ask yourself is whether you have any other symptoms of diabetes, the more typical symptoms such as constant thirst, lethargy, frequent urination, hunger even though you are eating more than usual, etc.
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing frequent urination for 5 years now (I have to pee every 30mins or so). Its absolutely awful and sometimes I have a burning sensation after I pee. I've noticed though that when I'm ovulating and I have lots of discharge the frequency is slightly less. I've gone for several tests over the years; it's not uti, cysts or diabetes and I don't think it's an STD since I am a virgin.
Avatar n tn He visits the dentist regularly, brushes and gargles and everything else under the sun, but the odor still comes and goes. He is very self concious about the frequent urination. It is not until recently that I started thinking that maybe the two are related and maybe a symptom of diabetes? I always thought juvenile diabetes came on quickly and not slowly ( as he has been suffering the symptoms for an extended period of time.) He is quite physically fit and an athlete.
Avatar f tn I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise). My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day). I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.
Avatar m tn re posting here because you think your thirst and frequent urination symptom is related to diabetes. This is true but the urination part also can be related to prostrate problems, urinary tract infection, and/or a bladder a infection. You need to see a doctor for a complete evaluation and necessary treatment. It won't go away on its own, it will only get worse to the point of hospitalization. Get off the computer and go see a doctor.
