You might want to consider a referral to a pelvic pain PT. They are often able to rule out and pelvic issues, muscular etc. that doctor's are not trained to look for.

My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine.
He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.
About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
If it is really a change for you, it is best to see your doctor as there are a variety of health reasons that cause frequent urination. I found that I was having frequent urination at night and had to limit liquid intake after a certain hour and that certain things cause me to have to go more such as iced tea. ?? Have no idea why but that seems to come straight back out.

urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management.

t it true that HSV-2 can cause frequent urination? and not everyone gets ulcers, lesions, and blister? correct? If this was from hsv-2 would my symptoms last this long. going past 2 weeks of frequent urination? The STD clinic said it could be from that and my heart sank. thank you for your time and i swear i did not mean to imply that i preferred the other doctor. He just knew more about me. I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise).
My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day).
I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.
I already know I have Herpes 2, but am not back in the US so I can get on medication. I have frequent nighttime urination which is caused by the Herpes 2 ( i had done a bacteria urine test and it was negative) . I just wondered, when I get on Valtrex will it take care of the frequent urination at night or do I need to get other medication for that? Anyone out there ever experience it.
I think a lot of persons come here for support, not just because they are worried they might be infected.

7 months ago i had unprotected sex, 3 and a half months later i got frequent urination and a stinging feeling in my penis, went to GP...got checked for UTIs and nothing.
anyway so on november 19th tested positive for chlamydia, had 1g of azith 4 tablets taken at once, next few hours and couple of days i felt good like i was getting back to normal, then after a few days the frequent urination started to kick in again but it wasnt as strong as before and i thought well whats going on..
Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out.
For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Frequent urination doesn't suggest STD of any kind. It is often a symptom of stress or anxiety, especially when the source of anxiety is concern about genital health. So I doubt you caught an STD, and I doubt anything is wrong except for anxiety. But if your symptoms persist, see your health care provider or your local STD clinic for examination and reassurance. You can expect that nothing abnormal will be found.
s. My only symptoms at this time was frequent urination and penile discomfort (on/off), no discharge. I had to wait to see my urologist so in the mean time I took Cipro I had on hand that my urologist gave to me incase I had any flare ups. That helped immensely but by the 10th day I experienced some horrible side effects and stopped.
i had unprotected sex on 1st sep and today i had some weird sensation on urination i think it wasnt abnormal cause i sometimes get this when i have to pee for a long time because the urine becomes too warm
but i wanted to ask if you get an std will you have pain on urination every time you pee? or most of the times
and how long does it take for symtoms to begin.
