Frequent urination causes in women

Common Questions and Answers about Frequent urination causes in women

Avatar f tn Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Avatar m tn It is a common condition in men and women. Urinary urgency is the cardinal symptom. Urgency to void causes frequency, often getting up at night to urinate, and maybe incontinence on the way to the bathroom. Your urine shows no infection, and your kidneys and bladder are normal by ultrasound. Your Urologist needs to check to see that you empty your bladder after you urinate, then he can safely start a medication for overactive bladder and see how you respond.
Avatar n tn It causes very dry mouth. It is more common in women, but men can get it too. The frequent urination could be just because you're drinking so much trying to compensate for not having enough saliva. There are a few treatments available.
Avatar n tn anyway, with this decline, you will lose the all important effects of Estradiol in this area, thus causing atrophy which in turn causes the uereter to, shall we say, get out of alignment! I have had times since the surgery, especially times when I have messed around with my hormones when I have been in trouble again in this area. I saw an OB/GYN Urologist in the area and after a dreadful first appointment I did not go back.
Avatar f tn Can Lexapro cause frequent urination? because I've been taking it for about 2 years and I go 20 plus times a day. Would a doctor please let me know.
Avatar f tn It can also be due to sleep related disorders. In women it can be due to hormonal disturbances related to PCOD/menopause 9quite possible at your age so please consult a gynecologist and get a hormonal assessment—hormone replacement therapy may help). Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
Avatar n tn I have bloating, I look like I am pregnant, frequent urination, pressure in my abdomen, lower back pain, extreme fatigue and pain during intercourse. What could this be. My doctor kept giving me medication for urinary tract infection.
Avatar f tn I don't know what is going on, but I have frequent urination with no burning at all. This time my Dr. placed me on ampicillin, and it has been 3 days and I am still have the urgency to go to the rest room too often.. I am drinking surgar free canberry juice from time to time while on the antibiotics and I take a thyroid pill as well as a diurectic pill all prescribed by the same doctor.. What is it that I am doing wrong. This is not a good feeling at all , very irritating.
154765 tn?1237251544 that means you recently ovulated and spilled some follicular fluid (the fluid surrounding the egg while it is devleoping in the ovary) into the pelvis. Entirely normal, and does not cause bloating. Frequent urination does not cause abdominal bloating. Many women report bloating in the second half of the cycle (i.e., the 2 weeks before your period). This may be related to the progesterone which your ovary makes during this period.
Avatar dr m tn A new study confirms these findings again, but points out that the presence of frequent trips to the bathroom is as sensitive in predicting obstructive sleep apnea as snoring! Sleep apnea also makes the body produce more urine, and because you wake up every few hours, you’ll want to go, but you won’t have a completely full bladder. Sudden shifts in blood flow into the heart after an obstructive event increases production of atrial natriuretic peptide, which makes you produce more urine.
Avatar n tn There is four years that i am having frequent problems with urination and the doctors seem to think it is all in my head. I began to have this frequent need to urinate,,,day and night when i was 23 years ( still virgin so there were no vaginal infections). The urine analysis and urineculture has always been sterile,,,and abdominal ultrasound always normal.

My problem is that I urinate very frequently. While sleeping it can be up to 4-6 times per night, a normal night is probably 3 times. During the day, I can urinate and then feel the urge to urinate again in as little as ten minutes, although this is not constant.

Avatar f tn Great idea on the yogurt because it's great for getting rid of bloat caused by yeast overgrowth as many of us women have in our bodies. Great tip!!! Great job on your weightloss results!!! Do you do any kind of exercise too? If so, what kind? I'm thinking about pilates and maybe taking up kickboxing as a stress reliever. I am so excited that my DR has put me on this (for migraines), i PRAY I'll get the loss of appetite side effect!!!!! I so badly need to lose 40 lbs!!
1414724 tn?1283234845 i am NOT looking forward to menopause, it seems to trigger them in lots of women. to heyerok-that has GOT to be what i have...bradycardia-dependent pvcs, ive never heard it described like that before. i dont know how anyone else feels but the absolute hardest thing for me to believe no matter how many tests i have done and how many mornings i am actually surprised that i wake up(sad!) is the fact that they are NOT HARMFUL.if i could just wrap my head around that i think i could be ok.
Avatar n tn As far as the back pain, painfull urination and frequent urination..It sounds like you might have a Urinary Tract Infection. I would go see your Doctor about that.
Avatar m tn Happily, trich is harmless in men and usually not serious in women either. Commercial DNA testing is increasingly available but not officially approved for use in men and therefore not commonly done except in special circumstances. Urine testing probably would detect most infections, however.
Avatar n tn Peripheral neuropathy causes numbness in the extremities. If this condition is not treated well, in time, it can mean losing control in the limb. •Cervical Spondylosis: The bones and cartilages in the backbone and neck deteriorate gradually, causing back pain, stiffness or spasm. A nerve can get compressed due to cervical spondylosis, which can cause numb big toe. It is important that you find the exact numb big toe causes and get it treated in time.
Avatar n tn It is either a vibration or a sensation of filling up with liquid. No other symptoms are there. No pain in urination, no pain in sex, have been married for many years with one partner, and no urge to go to the bathroom. It happens randomly, and lasts for 3-6 seconds then goes away. It is irritating but not painful. Any thoughts on this issue would be helpful.

Avatar n tn I haven't noticed bloating, I haven't noticed constipation, I do have frequent urination...but have had that for at least 5 years. My main struggles seem to be left ovary side pain, and lower left back pain. I have to be honest and say that I am very worried.
1840891 tn?1431551393 Among young women, UTI symptoms typically include a frequent and intense urge to urinate and a painful, burning feeling in the bladder or urethra during urination. The amount of urine may be very small. Older women and men are more likely to be tired, shaky, and weak and have muscle aches and abdominal pain. Urine may look cloudy, dark, or bloody or have a foul smell. In a person with a catheter, the only symptom may be fever that cannot be attributed to any other cause.
1767797 tn?1335843644 It's assumed to be pregnant you have to have fatigue, nausea, sore breasts, larger breast size, back ache, cramping, headache, frequent urination, eating more/less, etc etc etc. In reality, many women get no symptoms at all and symptoms don't indicate you're pregnant nor the health of a pregnancy. Far too often we get women who don't have these symptoms convinced they're going to miscarry.
Avatar n tn I too am a victim of this s**t, Had it for 3 years now, (Im 25 now), I used to think it was cause I had the HIV, but clearly its not. I can get an erection n a few minutes after ejac'ing, wen i start getn anatha hardon, the pain starts! pissing does help, alot, INFO!
Avatar n tn If she is concerned about this problem the first place to go would be a urologist. The abdominal pain and the frequent urination could be connected. But I believe you said the pain is now resolved. Try strapping some sand bags on your chest and walk around with those for a week or so and see how your back feels. This is what larger breasted women contend with, and yes it does cause shoulder and back pains.
Avatar m tn Mind you, I have no urinary symptoms whatsoever. Not particularly frequent, no pain in that area, no burning....pretty much normal. Prostate seems normal (I'm a male in my mid 40s). Anyhow, the Doc said it was a longshot but maybe it is prostate related. So for 5 days now I've woken with absolutely no flank pain whatsoever. Ive never had more than 1 or maybe 2 days without the pain waking me til now and even on those days, I'd still have some pain. But now nothing.
Avatar n tn but the majority of times blood came out in the sperm, or only after ejaculation during urination, or both in the sperm and the urine. once i woke up without having had sex that week and urinated blood. i tested my blood, sperm, and urine and the only abnormality was a high psa level. my dr said it is very rare and is that high in 40/50 year old. i did a biopsy for prostate cancer and my dr said that everything was ok. after the biopsy, i waqs back to normal.
Avatar n tn it can cause horrible infections in newborns, sometimes fatal. However, in adult women it usually is just colonizing the vagina, without ill effect. It is likely that your symptoms are due to something else, but GBS was picked up by coincidence. Most experts would not have even tested you for GBS, and we don't do it in my STD clinic. All that said, GBS may sometimes cause symptomatic vaginal infections; this area is a bit controversial.
