Avatar m tn I saw a question about frequent urination and stress. I wanted to add this comment. I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.
Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.

Avatar m tn I can understand your concern and according to National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation, sodium lauryl sulfate is an important ingredient of shampoo which can cause hair loss. However losing 5-7 strands of hair per day is not termed as hair loss. It is normal to lose up to 100 hairs per day. Avatar m tn Stress can cause both loss of appetite (which would lead to weight loss) and also can cause one to lose hair. Have you taken any steps toward stress management of late? Also, did you have your cortisol level checked? TSH and free T4 would likely be fine to see how your thyroid is functioning. One site says iron deficiency is often an overlooked cause of hair loss, so you might get that checked if you haven't already.

1187383 tn?1264444774 I have recently had some loss of balance issues. It can happen when sitting or standing and I haven't noticed any pattern. It feels like the earth moves down and to the right. Immediately afterward I felt a little nauseous and needed to lay down for a few minutes, but then I was fine. Other symptoms I've had which may or may not be relevant include insomnia and frequent urination.
