Avatar f tn I have almost exactly the same symptoms and test indications that you have. A colonoscopy and many, many blood tests, stool samples, etc have all been inconclusive, so I've been diagnosed with IBS. I found a website that helped quite a bit (www.helpforibs.com), but I had to modify the advice from this website slightly (through trial and error) in order to best control my symptoms.
1926359 tn?1331588139 Hi All- I have discovered this wonderful guided meditation. It is called Yoga Nidra and is meant for those dealing with addiction and chronic pain. I just did it and after a hellish morning of pain where no meds would help, I feel much better and may even be able to function. I think it would be a powerful tool for those of you that are in detox hell right now, for those of you that are dealing with chronic pain issues, anxiety issues, or even just normal stress.
10683890 tn?1412893806 Lulu posted one in the social a while back that I use a lot I think it is called Yoga Nidra ... its online. Its 30 minutes which I find extremely long because I cant relax for that long but I do it so far for nine minutes at the most and its great. yoga is key for better balance and health overall, if I could just make myself do it more. I totally agree with you. ty for the titles!
10609801 tn?1412399288 I am in school studying to be a yoga therapist! I will be learning how to teach Yoga Nidra! It is very hard for me to lay down and so the breathing. My heart is pounding and I can't stand the noise or feel of it. I get more freaked out. I have been trying the Nadishodana ( alternate nostril berating) You breath in through the left nostril while holding the right and and then exhale through the right nostril.
Avatar f tn Hi :) First, Congrats on 6 Days!! Yup, You're going through it! The no sleep thing is definitely the worst part of the 'process'. Our circadian rhythms get all messed up because acute detox is such a shock to our systems. Our balance of neural hormones is destroyed & it takes time for them to even out. You're going through the worst of it right now, so hang in there! It's worth it & you've come so far!
572651 tn?1530999357 Want to try yoga in the quiet and privacy of your own home? There is a free MyMSYoga program dvd ad that keeps flashing on my screen here at MedHelp. I have this DVD and it is very good. The program is sponsored by BioGen and you don't have to be one of their patients to request this resource. If the ad isn't popping up for you, here is the link for more information and to order a copy for your home use. http://www.msactivesource.com/ms-yoga.
Avatar f tn I discovered the following today- sent by my yoga teacher as I am bed bound and unable to attend class in person. It is Yoga Nidra and focuses on pain, addiction, and insomnia. Hope it helps you find peace. Time to get back into making your recovery your #1 priority. Everything else will fall into place. Lu https://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar f tn Has anyone gone to pregnant yoga if so would you recommend going? Or is there other classes to help prepair for delivery?
Avatar n tn I wouldnt do hot yoga you can do regular yoga but its not good to raise your body temp so high. Youll be fine so will baby it was just one class and youre still super early. Just hydrate and relax.
Avatar n tn I'm 7 weeks pregnant and just took a hot yoga class not thinking of the severity of it. After leaving I looked online and read how bad this is especially during your first trimester. Should I still be upset or is 1 class not going to hurt me? I won't be going again until the baby is born!
Avatar f tn But now all I can think about is starting my family. My question is do any of u ladies participate in prenatal yoga and if so do u feel it is beneficial to u?
Avatar f tn I'm an active yogi. I've been doing it throughout my pregnancy. I'm 16 weeks.
Avatar m tn Either that, or a sleep hypnosis, progressive muscle relaxation or something called Yoga Nidra [a full body scan leading to sleep] -- also available on yt. The more clean time that you accrue, the more you exercise, hydrate & eat well, the better you'll start sleeping.
Avatar f tn Belly14 you can either get 2 free belly bands OR 1 free belly body band if you just pay shipping (which I think is $14). If you don't know what these are, they are bands that go around your waist and grow with you through your pregnancy. They attach to your jeans so that you don't have to zip and button them which keeps you from having to spend money on those pesky maternity pants.
Avatar f tn Try searching on YouTube. They have plenty of free prenantal yoga for pregnant women. They also have Pilates and etc. good luck!
8722107 tn?1399602652 s the best thing I ever did! They have tons of prenatal yoga dvds, I have even see them available at the library... But I get it free on my on demand lol just thought I'd share what relieves my back problems, you will definitely learn a lot of new tips!
Avatar f tn s easy and free, there are tons of hatha yoga videos on youtube you can follow. I hope I could help you! And sorry for my English, I'm from Eastern Europe.
Avatar f tn Did anyone not take a child birth class? I'm 35+5 and haven't taken any. Should I find one and go immediately or...? I have confidence that I will be fine without one but still nervous that I haven't taken one. Is there an online free birthing class I can take?
Avatar f tn t say too much about that. But I know on pinterest they have yoga guides for throughout your pregnancy maybe a free alternative to paying for classes.
11280340 tn?1416818620 yoga is also easy on the body and there are tones of modifications and classes out there designed for pregnant women. www.doyogawithme.com/yoga_classes is a great link for free yoga videos online just search for the prenatal classes. ive done the morning one and hoping to start one called preparing for labour which should be interesting. i also think if you were doing them before that squats would be safe just pace yourself.
5262038 tn?1415312585 I did. The drugs masked it. Try yoga nidra meditation when you are anxious. Try Natural Calm which is a magnesium citrate supplement that I use regularly (I get it from natural food store and FOLLOW directions so you don't end up with bathroom problems). Worst case scenario, talk to our Dr. Xanax is NOT a DOC for me and I have an rx prn (as needed) for when I am really wigging out. You have options to try....just try them and hang on. 2 month is amazing!
Avatar f tn lunges as well or free weights. Please check online or with your Gyno about safer exercises to do during pregnancy. Yoga and Tai Chi is are especially good and no impact - these stretching exercises will help you with childbirth. Again, your Dr likely has a brochure describing what you should and should not do. It's also great to exercise in water up until the last 2 weeks. I sure did! Be well - let me know how you do!
1088217 tn?1301925756 And i talked to my ob about it and he said since im just home doing nothing i should tried yoga so he gave me this ad and it said gentle yoga and is also for high risk pregnancies but is $118 for like 1 or 2 sessions im not sure so then i found out that at the hospital they give classes too for free so they fax me this paper saying that even with my a dr note is not guarentee that is safe for me to exercise so that kind of threw me off.
Avatar f tn I have entered your data in Adjuvant! Online and from the output, your chance of survival and being free of recurrence is 79.9% in 10 years (which is pretty good). The addition of chemotherapy will increase that probability by another 5.9% using standard chemotherapy (6FAC, or AC-Taxane). It is a small increment but it is still a significant jump in your chances. Hope this helps. Regards and God bless.
9668401 tn?1405176684 I have to take prevacid to prevent ulcers, but have spent a few years trying alternatives only to come back to this basic regimen. Yoga Nidra for meditation helps, but that is it for me. I hope you find what works, In the mean time, have those pills doled out by a trustworthy source as prescribed. Surgery is a complete justification, IMO, for pain meds, short-term, as prescribed. A friend of mine swears by Aleve for her back pain, but it didn't do anything for me.
Avatar n tn Looking for a beginners (very beginner) prenatal yoga dvd. I want to stay healthy and active but not over do it. I'm newly pregnant but haven't worked out in a long time. Any suggestions?
