can I drink the juice of 1 grapefruit a day, if I am taking metoprolol and fosinopril for blood pressure? My blood pressure is completely controled.

Has NA been helpful for you in your recovery? I'm considering going to my first meeting tomorrow, I'm just not sure if a 12 step program is right for me.
t make any plans or go anywhere or talk to anyone unless they had pills. i was in the grip for many years. i went to NA, or rather, back to NA. i had been clean for about a year back in 94, so i knew there was a better way to live. we think we are all knowing and that nobody else understands. that's just not the truth. the madness will end when you trully want to stop and are ready to take the steps necessary to get and stay clean. i am not going to preach NA to you.

Wake up, shower, shave, brush teeth, SNORT 40MG OC and that was the start of the usual 200-240MG that I would end up having done by about 8 or 9PM. That is such a terrible way to live. Anyway, just after four days I am feeling amazing. This sounds so corny but it's like I feel what life is like again. I'm not numb to everything. I enjoy life and the starting of feeling like I have my mind back.

I'm glad I found this forum! I have never taken pain pills in my entire life up until about 6 months ago. I fell off the back of a u-haul truck and landed on my back. The dr. put me on 10 mg norcos which didn't help at all. My dose was gradually increased to 40mg (10mg 4xday) and that seemed to do the trick. That was 4 months ago. I no longer have any back pain, so I decided to quit cold turkey 3 days ago thinking, no big deal. Big Deal indeed!
I take 40mg daily every night of omeperazole. I still have to take Gavescon. When I take the Gavescon I notice a sour taste in the very back of my throat. I drink water and it seems to ease it. What can this be? Sometimes I have a bit of a dry cough as if it tickles in the back of my throat. Although it doesn't produce anything, and goes away soon...
Second, can i do this in a few short days and come off without any withdrawals? My friend suggested that i take 40mg. a day for four days. She said i would be off the drug and i would not be hooked on the methadone after only taking it for four days. My problem with her home remedy is that i know she has never done this herself, so how could she possibly know how this is going to work. So if anyone has done this themselves, could you please share with me.
5 of norco today a week ago I was taking 9 or 10 10s of norco a day for 6months and a year before that about 40mg to 60mg daily . I found my self looking at a co workers desk that just got back from dentist and has a bottle of reg med and almost started opening up drawers to see if the good stuff was there ! Wow !!! So I picked up the phone and started typing to y'all !! Don't know what else to say ! Prayers plz !!!
Ugg...oxy contin ruined me pretty much. Financially physically and emotionally. I was in remission and started again doing 20-40mg(for a maybe 2 mnths) as opposed to 80 or so... so I didn't have the same w drawls. Of course my initial detox was from an 8 yr addiction so that one topped he cake.
s office. .... Now I take Fosinopril 40 and Verapamil 80 twice a day which is working perfectly.. The last docter wanted to try me on HCTZ once more telling me to drink alot of orange juice. After a month of taking it he realized I dont need them. My pressure goes up with anxiety of docters. So he took me off about a week and a half ago. Near the end of being on them I started feeling like I have a urinary infection. It hasnt stopped ...my lower back and sides are hurting also.
methadone is a terrible drug to detox from,the duration is the hardest part 4 to 6 weeks,percocet is really not the answer unless used for a very short term.20-40mg percs is to much ,you will just trade one addiction for another and let me tell ya percocet is no joke,it is basically oxy-contin without the time release but will help curb the withdrawal from the meth.just please your self and get the meth out of your system,then worry about the percs.
