can I drink the juice of 1 grapefruit a day, if I am taking metoprolol and fosinopril for blood pressure? My blood pressure is completely controled.

i have been on monopril(fosinopril) for many years- and it also helps to protect the kidneys. since starting Tx my BP spiked, and they added Tiazac.

Not too bad of user, on average 80mg vic's per day. stared weaning, Sat. 15mg. Sun None, Monday and Tuesday 10mg perc's. Dont feel too bad however. THis has been going on for 5 year and it needs to stop. Next week I will be available to start NA.

A few years back, I was prescribed 90 10mg Lortab per month. I took them for years then I had to go into the hospital for narcotic abuse and did not start taking them again until July 2008 when I got a prescription of 90 10mg pills. What were you taking? How many a day and for how long - months, years? That will determine how your detox will go. Let us know and we can go from there.

Anyone have any suggestions on when I should start to look up where and when Na is in my area and actually try to go to a meeting. I sure don't feel like I can right now but will take suggestions into consideration as I know it will be a must for me to stay clean. Did any of you find that NA works? I have tried counsiling but even with insurance I cant afford the cost of what I need to stay sober? I am still using. I had a 2 month break but when i went back to the real world I relaped. MY mother did NA and OA and every kind of A possible but she is just an addiction transfer type person. At this point I am willing to try it. My experience with alnon as a kid was horrible.

WOOHOO!!! I did it guys I finally found an NA group that I like and everybody there is very nice. Its about a 20 minute drive away so not too bad and so worth it! I actually found a lady there with a similar story to mine and she has been clean for 10 years now. I am exctied I was really getting nervous that NA just wasnt for me but this is in a nice area in the next town over.

Has NA been helpful for you in your recovery? I'm considering going to my first meeting tomorrow, I'm just not sure if a 12 step program is right for me.

The questions and responses that everyone has are quite helpful to me for the most part. However, I would like to start going to NA meetings. My ex boyfriend (who I started using with) has been going to them for awhile and they really seem to have been doing him good (from what I saw before we broke up). Right before we broke up I had mentioned that I would like to start going as well and he expressed to me the he did NOT want me to go.

I've been taking norco 10mg/325 for 44 days. I started at 1-2 a day and now Im doing 5-6 a day. I've never taken more than 6 in one day. I have 30 left and I've heard to taper down to relieve the withdraw symptoms. I have 2 questions for anybody that would like to help me. 1. Can I juice and exercise while I'm tapering down? Mainly consists of me jogging and sauna sessions to sweat it out of my system. 2. How bad of a withdraw will I have after these are gone?

s great that you have a support system in place but going to NA and learning how this addiction will play you is something that you really need to consider. Hello, I'm on day 8 off of opiate pain killers, mostly hydro and I was taking up to 12 hydro 10mg plus a Xanax bar and alcohol too, I didn't use everyday as I didn't have the $ to but I spent every second thinking about being high. I had almost 3 years clean and relapsed back in March of this year and since then I have gone back and forth between clean and using.

Amazing how hard this thing is to quit, isn't it? Not to say you don't feel the pain of WD because everyone responds and feels it differently, but 3-5 per day, even if they are 10mg, isn't that bad. I remember when I was at that amount, the pills still actually gave me a high. Get out now before getting worse. I got up to over 20 oxycodone 10mg per day plue 1 40 mg oxycontin per day. And that didn't even get me all that high! Don't wind up like me or worse.
