Avatar f tn My symptoms are feelings similar to what you'd feel when someone scratches their nails down a chalkboard. They started in my left foot and shot up that leg. It has spread up my torso, head, face, and right extremities. Medical tests show that there is definite nerve damage, predominant in the left side of my body. There is a pattern of flare ups and remissions that last for months. When I am in remission, I feel healthy and normal.

Avatar f tn No trauma of any kind. Just feels like a brick was dropped on that part of my foot! Two days now with no relief. No swelling or redness, just bad pain.. I'm stumped and hurting. Anyone have any ideas???
Avatar n tn I don't believe RLS is related to the foot vibration because I'm the first to mention it here, but 80% of everyone else also mentioned stress. This is quite surely a nerve/brain condition.
1272082 tn?1343107140 Now, the blood vessels and nerves have to regenerate into my foot. If I put my foot down it fills with blood and it won't go back up until I elevate my leg. I don't know how long it will take for them to reform. I already had severe circulation issues with the POTS. Compression stockings were definitally my friend. I'm wrapping the broke leg with ace bandages, but they aren't as effective. Anyone got suggestions?
Avatar n tn You could have gotten this sexually (the epididymitis) But, it could have been totally unrelated to a sexual encounter, too. Feel some relief that you didn't test + for the Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. The timing of the foot pain? I wouldn't worry about it being HIV-related. I know you are going to worry, though, but try not to. It would not be related to HIV infection.

96108 tn?1197694930 I hate to comment on another physicians precriptions, but valium has a bad rep thanks to the politicians and the DEA, but is is great for short term stress/anxiety/ psychiatric symptom relief and it wears off and you become completely normal. It has a long safety history, providing you don't take alcohol.

Avatar f tn Hello, I cannot confirm a diagnosis without examination, but it can be foot blisters or fibromas. When a foot is hot and sweaty, the sock sticks to the foot. The sock and foot then rub against each other and the inside of the shoe causing blisters to appear. Plantar fibromas are firm, nodular masses which occur as a single mass or in clusters on the arches of the foot. Wear shoes that fit properly and keep feet as dry as possible.
Avatar m tn even after a few weeks of my injury.
923105 tn?1341831249 Anyway enough rambling about me - it's just a question that I have that I would like some input on. Since Feb this year I have been under a lot of stress - had GB removed, Father with cancer so I was back and forth to the UK to see him. Then my Father died at the end of April followed by my dog dying on the weekend. So stress has been really bad.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone out there has had a positive exercise stress test and a negative stress echo test. My cardiologist said since my stress echo was negative there is a low probability of me having heart disease. I have been have chest pain with left arm and jaw discomfort on and off for 1 1/2 weeks. I am a non smoker, no high blood pressures, no diabetes, and good cholesterol. I am a 43 year old female. My father had his first heart attack at 50 and died at 60 so I have a family history.
Avatar n tn But from experience I know all these symptoms cause stress too. Hopefully you will be able to find some relief.
Avatar n tn Hi Pain in the foot can be due to several causes like stress fracture, arthritis, gout, plantar fascitis, sprain, or due to ill-fitting shoes. Another cause may be loss of normal medial longitudinal arch that leads to pes planus or flat foot. It may be due to ruptutre of a tendon (posterior tibial tendon). Do you have any recent history of injury or medical problems like gout or arthritis?
Avatar m tn First day after taking off the compression stocking, why is the top of my foot all bruised, similar to when just broken? Does that mean I over did it? Called & the nurse said she doesn't know. Getting some sharp electrical like impulses intermittently in that area of my foot too. She asked if I have diabetes. NO. Maybe its nerves coming back online like when you reboot a computer??? How long before a regular shoe will fit?
Avatar f tn Mostly worried about a blood clot. My severe foot sprain is finally better - after 5 full weeks. But now developed calf pain after finally wearing regular (comfortable) shoes to work vs. THE BLUE BOOT. I am going to assume that I am overusing/stretching tendon in my calf as I still over compensate for my weak foot. I am hopeful that I can get back to yoga this weekend. I have a ridiculously high deductable, so no medical care beyond an emergency room x-ray to rule out a broken foot.

459853 tn?1283144114 Thank you for your reply. I had been trying to stay off my leg as much as possible, taking ibuprofen, ice, etc. I did notice that the pain had gotten considerably better, about 90% better, then all of a sudden this morning the pain is back full force! It feels swollen and it's right on top of the tibia about 3 inches from where the foot bends, and extends upward about an additional 3 inches.
Avatar m tn I am 6 foot, 195lbs and for the most part a fit person @ 35 years old. The only times I have relief are intense exercise, sleeping or if my mind is totally distracted. I now am even starting to hurt after sleeping and my sleep is interupted. Please give me your opinion of what my next steps should be. Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn Since starting treatment I've had periodic cramping in the joint where my right thigh meets the hip bone. In other words, way high up. Like most cramps, painful but usually they release in a minute or so. Therefore never really thought that much about it. Yesterday afternoon, I had an extremely painful cramp on my right toe extending up the top of my foot. The cramp actually "locked" my right toe and (arch front) in an up position. Sounds funny but quite the opposite.
Avatar n tn I had a stress fracture on my 3rd and 4th metatarsals about 3 years ago. I didn't know what it was until about 6 months after I first started getting really bad pains after wearing heels or going to long dance lessons. I'm hoping to become a professional dancer, so I never stopped dancing (in heels) to allow it to heal properly. I just took a few painkillers and got used to it. Recently, I ramped up my dancing hours to about 35 a week and the pain has got a whole lot worse.

Avatar m tn In May I started feeling pain in my right foot at the bottom on the side. Eventually the pain worsened and I had a lump about the size of a 1/2 dollar on the front of my ankle. I went to a podiatrist and had MRIs and x-rays. He determined I had the beginning stages of a stress fracture. He put me in an aircast boot and sent me to physical therapy. The boot did provide some relief as well as physical therapy.
