Avatar m tn Im 16 weeks pregnant. My stress is at an all time now between work, school, family issues and trying to make sure my baby's okay. I just need some stress relief techniques i've tried walking, talking to friends but none of its working it just leads to me feeling depressed for some time. Mind you i've picked up on my bad habit of smoking cigarettes but not a whole cig or not that often but it makes me feel like crap so I need something else beside the just breathe technique.
4268628 tn?1375041176 So I am 17 weeks now and feeling g physically ill due to stress. Any ideas for stress relief? Most of my go to activities aren't working. Between a creep video taping my daughter (who's 2) while at my in laws and my fil telling me I'm blowing things out of proportion, my husband reverting to whatever his dad says is law, and being the mean evil board member Sharing with 50 members their dues are increasing 3Xs what they're used to.....I'm sick and cramping.
Avatar f tn d feel when someone scratches their nails down a chalkboard. They started in my left foot and shot up that leg. It has spread up my torso, head, face, and right extremities. Medical tests show that there is definite nerve damage, predominant in the left side of my body. There is a pattern of flare ups and remissions that last for months. When I am in remission, I feel healthy and normal. When my condition flares up I experience bruising (ITP), my arthritis and vertigo act up.
1272082 tn?1343103540 What does anyone take for chronic pain issues? Also, what do you take when it's a severe pain--like a broken foot/leg that will be painful for a long time. The pain meds are making my POTS allot worse. I've tried Demoral with Phenagan and Tramadol. Tramadol is the least problematic, but is causing bad POTS issues. I tried not using anything, but can't take the pain. I broke all the bones and my ankles off. Have 10 screws and a plate.
Avatar n tn The only way to find out if there is a stress fracture anywhere in the foot, in the metatarsals or any of the cuneiform or cuboid bones is to have an xray. You are doing the right thing in applying cold compresses to the foot. Also rest the foot as much as you can and elevate it.

Avatar f tn thanks for your response. btw, that 7 foot 7 is a typo. I'm only 5 foot 7.
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been reading the various emails submitted by folks with cuboid stess fracture and I certainly do appreciate the sharing of stories. I have been in pain of the left foot for about a month now, but do not remember when I "hurt" it. I finally went to the foot doctor today (7/8/09) and the doctor took Xrays and found nothing. But, he did locate the "pain" and said it may be a cuboid stress fracture.
Avatar f tn Does anyone happen to know if those with MS are more susceptible to stress fractures?
Avatar n tn But 2 weeks ago I suffered one of my headaches that always begins in the back of my neck and pounds in my head for several days. 1757391 tn?1346127363 I have really bad pain in my left ankle on the outside bone and my whole foot is swollen. it is tingly and hurts when I walk and hurts when pressing on the outside bone. I can walk on it but it hurts really bad!!
Avatar f tn There may or may not be slight mid-foot swelling present as well. Certain points on the dorsum and the sole of the foot would may be tender to tough. Pain can also be elicited while trying to stretch the foot or move it inwards or outwards. Hope this was useful. Take care!
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 24, a former ballet dancer (stopped when I was 16) with a stress fracture in the second metatarsal of my right foot that has not healed after 3 years of treatment and a possible new stress fracture in my left foot from over compensating. Why is it that my feet aren't healing and keep fracturing? I don't do any strenuous exercising like running or jumping.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone - a big part of withdrawals that I hate is calf cramps (and foot/side of shin/front of shin muscle cramps), but especially calf cramps because my whole lower leg would just lock up in rigour, and inevitably it happens when I was getting those few hours of precious sleep - I am sure you all know the drill.
Avatar f tn d feel when someone scratches their nails down a chalkboard. They started in my left foot and shot up that leg. Over the years they have spread up my torso, head and right extremities. I had a test done with electrodes attached to my body and there is definite nerve damage more predominant in the left side of my body. My symptoms seem to have a pattern of flare ups and remissions that last for months. When I am in a remission, I feel healthy and normal.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever had this? It's been about a week since I seriously hurt my foot, and it just gets worse. It's been swelling on and off and I stay off it as much as possible but I have to pee like every 15 min -.- my poor bf has literally been doing everything lol. I want to go to,the dr but idk if they can really do anything for me?
Avatar m tn First day after taking off the compression stocking, why is the top of my foot all bruised, similar to when just broken? Does that mean I over did it? Called & the nurse said she doesn't know. Getting some sharp electrical like impulses intermittently in that area of my foot too. She asked if I have diabetes. NO. Maybe its nerves coming back online like when you reboot a computer??? How long before a regular shoe will fit?
Avatar f tn Try a little caffeine. Make sure you are eating and snacking regularly. Significant other available? Temple, foot and shoulder rubs. Staying well hydrated. Sometimes i have to unplug...no TV,cell etc. A warm bath in the dark with mellow music.
Avatar f tn A 3 pound can was dropped on the top of my foot today,I am experiencing swelling and pain that shoots down to my toes ands up my leg.I can still walk on my foot but it hurts.Could I have a small fracture on the top of my foot?
Avatar m tn As for the toe, if it is causing you so much pain that it is impacting normal activities, ask for a referral to an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot issues - NOT a podiatrist. A podiatrist is great for external orthotics and treatments, but I wouldn't let one cut into my feet. Surgery of any kind is never fun, but as a veteran of three foot surgeries I can tell you it's worth it for the pain relief.
Avatar f tn Mostly worried about a blood clot. My severe foot sprain is finally better - after 5 full weeks. But now developed calf pain after finally wearing regular (comfortable) shoes to work vs. THE BLUE BOOT. I am going to assume that I am overusing/stretching tendon in my calf as I still over compensate for my weak foot. I am hopeful that I can get back to yoga this weekend. I have a ridiculously high deductable, so no medical care beyond an emergency room x-ray to rule out a broken foot.
